He lied over and over. He lied about her arthritis. He lied about only 2 surgeons in the state. He lied that he would get a second opinion from them and call me. He lied about not having any other treatment options. He cornered us and we dodged a bullet. When I exclaimed that she was too young to have arthritis, the nurse said, "We've been getting a lot of young dogs and cats with arthritis." .... And he insists that surgery is the ONLY treatment option when I know for a fact that there are other options. He has been cutting off healthy bones as an ongoing con in a professional setting. I will be contacting the management of the Cimarron chain to get him blacklisted if possible. Not to even mention terrible bedside manners. He was aggressive and laughed in my face and ignored me when I told him not to pet her stomach when she's scared. When I asked the nurse for a different vet, I heard him yelling behind the door, "I'M NOT THE PROBLEM HERE!" Like a childish tantrum, creating a hostile work environment for that poor vet assistant.

I randomly called some of the local groomers even though I knew getting him in would be a long shot. But...the girls at Happy Dog Barkery were so sweet and made room in their schedule to take care of my dog. They went above and beyond for a total stranger and did a great job on his trim. I'm at peace knowing he's ready for surgery. This place is darling as well! They even gave us a free treat with the service, which he LOVED. I cannot say enough good things about this business. They were a total blessing during a very stressful day. I might have to start driving him to Stillwater for his regular grooming. They are precious.

I got a half pound of peanut butter mini bone biscuits. The ingredients are listed, and they're all very wholesome. The treats smelled nice, faintly of peanut butter, not like in an artificial way. I glanced at all the toys and rawhide-free chews. I'll come back for some of those another day. I didn't look in depth at the dog food side of the store, but there was a large selection. The checkout counter is by the display case with dog bakery items. Very whimsical and cute! Lots of big dog friendly treats, but a small dog might gain a pound just looking at them. There was a real dog employee that was happy to do business with me, but I was glad that there was a friendly human employee to take my money and wish me a good day. My parents' pup really likes the treats, and I think he feels special when he eats them. Leashed dogs are allowed in the store, so maybe he will visit next time.

Never once did I feel like there was ever any motive but the well-being of our pets. We recently moved to Edmond, but continued with WVH for an additional 6 months because of how connected we felt to the staff and how satisfied we were with the quality of care. Our dogs loved going there more than going "on a walk." We eventually had to choose a practice more local to us, but there will always be a place in our hearts for the staff at Western Veterinary Hospital :)
