Jasmine helped guide us through the consult on Monday, making sure all our questions were answered. Erin was there early the morning of surgery and made check-in feel calm and reassuring. Dr. Walker performed the surgery flawlessly, and thanks to Dr. Granone, who oversaw his anesthesia, and Ashley, who managed it during surgery, I knew he was in the safest hands possible. Post-op, his recovery was nurtured by the most compassionate nursing care I could ask for--Andrea, Calista, and Jenna went above and beyond every single day. They treated Sampson like family, not just a patient. I got the best updates and pictures from them which helped me feel at ease Without this team, I would have lost a piece of me. Because of their dedication, skill, and heart, Sampson is still with me. I will forever be grateful. This team didn't just save his life--they gave me mine back

My dog was not simply a pet -- he was a beloved member of my family for over 10 years and an important part of my daughter's childhood. However, when I arrived on February 24, 2026, to pick up his ashes, I was informed that the paw and nose prints had been lost. I was further told by the front desk employee that the prints were merely a "courtesy" and not included in the cremation cost. While I understand policies may vary, the issue is not whether the prints were included in the price. The issue is that I was explicitly told they would be provided. I was given the expectation that something meaningful and irreplaceable would be preserved -- and that commitment was not honored. If this was truly a courtesy, it should not have been presented to me as a promised memorial item. Informing a grieving family that something special will be done, only to later admit it was lost, adds unnecessary pain to an already heartbreaking situation. There is no opportunity now to recreate those prints. That moment has passed forever. During one of the most vulnerable experiences a family can endure, compassion and care matter deeply. The response I received lacked empathy and professionalism, which only compounded the grief my family is experiencing. I am deeply disappointed in how this was handled.

We brought our pup to this clinic and he was being seen by the vet in less than five minutes. She was kind, compassionate and caring. They gave him meds and took care to not only address his pain needs, but were also kind about our distress over the whole situation. I would HIGHLY recommend this group.

I called her vet today to see if we could get her in soon. They were booked and recommended we take her to Tulsa Animal Urgent care at 61st and Mingo. I had no idea we had an Urgent care for animals I looked online and the prices were very reasonable for a vet. We took our baby there last night. We got right in, no appt needed. Front desk staff both were super nice and friendly, they got out Addie all checked in and put us in a room. We were in the room only a few minutes before the Dr came in (Dr. Suzanne Caruso, DVM). She was so Gental as out Addie is such a queen (drama queen too, lol). She liked her over and then took her back to do a deeper exam with her techs. (Just like human kids, they do better without parents around). In a short wait she came back to talk to us about her diagnosis. Dr Caruso's diagnosis was arthritis which I was relieved, she did not feel we needed x-rays but did leave it up to us. I loved that they just did not do them and it cost us more if she felt they were not really needed. She recommended a monthly injection and we can come there to get it for Ms Addie. The overall moment coming in the door to going out the door I could tell they all cared about doing what was best for our little queen Addie

You have to buzz to get security to let you in, which is kind of off putting right from the start. And the first question they ask is if your pet could have ingested weed, which is I'm sure way too common. The nurse and vet were very kind and fairly quick, but before they even come in, they bring a credit card machine in for payment. I guess I understand that's the awful world we live in now, but it sure doesn't sit well when your pet is sitting on the table in pain but nothing an be done until payment is made. But once we started the process, they bounced in and out with diagnosis, suggestions for treatment, and itemized statements showing the extreme rising costs of the visit. The vet was very thorough and detailed in explanation, but we ultimately decided to take our dog home and to our local vet Monday morning, who basically disagreed with the diagnosis we received and went with a separate treatment plan. So around $1000 later, we at least had piece of mind that it wasn't life threatening. But ouch. I would definitely try a different emergency clinic next time.

We moved to Tulsa in December '23, with a 6 year old, Czech import German Shepherd that we'd had for a few months. She had been used for breeding, required a C-section, and was no longer useful to the breeder. As a rescue, the breeder was familiar with us (we own her daughter), so he contacted us and surrendered her to us. We had her thoroughly vetted when she arrived in Oklahoma. After a few weeks in our home we contacted our trainer and got her into training as soon as possible. She was sweet and a good member of our pack, but largely unsocialized. When we brought her home it was time to address the last step in preparing her for her new life in our home, having her spayed. We made an appointment with Dr Thomas. After anesthetizing her the doctor tried to call us to tell us that she had a spay scar. When we called him back we discussed the c-section scar and decided to wait a week or so and start over. When we picked her up we found that while he had her anesthetized, he decided to perform surgery on her eyelid for some small defect I had not even noticed and we had not approved. I wish I had seen the red flag. Two weeks later we dropped her off to be spayed. We called to see if she was ready to be picked up and were told to wait until five. I walked over to pick her up a little before five and immediately noticed that she looked unstable. Her gums were pale and I asked if I should run her to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists. Dr Thomas said no, took her back into his office and started IV fluids. After wasting what turned out to be the last 30 minutes I had to save her, he sent us home with a vet tech carrying the IV bag. I helped the still unstable dog. When we got to the door the vet tech gave me the IV bag and we've never heard from them again. After observing her for a couple of minutes I put her in the car and raced to OVS, calling to let them know the situation and that we were headed their way. Dr Hodges, who has helped us many times in emergencies, stayed and waited for us, rushing us in when we arrived. He worked on her for another 30 minutes. She coded twice and was unable to be revived a second time. She died of blood loss from internal bleeding. Dr.Thomas or his office never called to see how she was. We filed a complaint with the State Board. Imagine the State Board of Veterinary Medicine being unresponsive in the State of Oklahoma. Would you expect anything else? If you love your pet, stay away from Dr Chet Thomas and City Veterinary Hospital at 36th and Peoria. I wish we had. We obviously live close by and every time I see that building I feel sad and angry all over again.

I called her out on that, and she responded, "Well, we have to have that conversation sometimes." I pointed out that just moments earlier she had said they never suggested it. She also claimed she wasn't the one who performed or reviewed the labs and ultrasound, so I pointed out that the paperwork has her name listed as the attending veterinarian. I took my dog to another hospital and had the labs redone and pancreatitis showed up on it 45 mins after leaving. Also this whole ordeal with them cost over $3,000. The entire conversation was like that. Every time I confronted her with documentation or something she had previously said, she had to backtrack or change her explanation. It was obvious she was scrambling to justify her actions. I also brought up EPO. I explained that it's been available since the 1980s, and she agreed. I reminded her that we specifically asked whether there was anything that could increase her red blood cell count, and she told us there wasn't a medication available. At that point, she changed her explanation and said they weren't treating her for that condition and that the clinic didn't carry it. I told her that wasn't the point and we specifically asked if a medication existed that could help, and she said no. EPO is readily available and costs around $34 at Walgreens. I also questioned how they insisted she did not have pancreatitis, yet by the time I drove her to Bartlesville, about 45 minutes later, she was diagnosed with it. Pancreatitis doesn't develop in 45 minutes, which raises serious concerns about whether it was missed during their evaluation.
