I have been coming here for about three years now. My poodle Lulu, is about five years old and I wouldn't trust just anybody because she's my fur baby. We have always got great care and good information on each and every visit. Everyone is so nice and you go into a living room setting with your pet and they sit on the floor to examine your pet! The last time I was there a few months ago I was telling the young lady when she had a check up that she had problems with her anal glands they need to be expressed every six weeks or she cannot go to the bathroom. She told me about a product to put into her food and a completely cured the problem! It's called glandex . I am completely thrilled because now it isn't a problem every six weeks. We have two indoor cats which we brought in for a wellness check in 2022 after we moved to the desert. We were told at that time they also received vaccinations. Fast forward to today when I tried to book another wellness visit. I was told by the receptionist (to my surprise) they were never vaccinated at that visit. She also mentioned that in order to have them vaccinated at their next visit (to be scheduled in March), they would need their old records. I explained that those were old records and wouldn't be applicable. What's more! They didn't even have a historic record of the cats being spayed and neutered -- which should've been covered at their 2022 wellness exam. I am not comfortable going to this vet as their records seem out of sync with what we were told at our last visit in 2022. With your fur babies you want to have trust in the medical professionals who care for them and if they don't know what's going on then that's a big red flag. read more

Horrible experience when I took my sweet fur baby in to be euthanized. New vet that's helping Jameson is terrible and has no Empathy. Did go to Jameson with my concerns but nothing was done and no apology was given..... PLEASE Beware of her. Very painful and disappointing. Have gone there for years and won't ever go again. We have been bringing our dogs here for years, even before they moved to the new location. This place truly cares about the animals. I have nothing but great things to say about the way they take care and treat my pups. Very professional. No complaints in that department. Honest truth , this business absolutely sucks at the telephone. They never ever answer the " press 1 for emergency line " I always have to call multiple times and press multiple buttons to maybe get a hold of someone. I found them by chance, desperately trying to find a place that can see my cat urgently. His eyes were painfully swollen and he was not getting better. After pleading with so many places, everyone shut me down with no appointments being available for over 2-5 weeks. I reached out to friends, and one immediately told me of this place and how they would "recommend it to everyone if they could!" I told them what was going on, and they told me they could squeeze me in a couple of days. First off, "WOW." I arrived and they took Juju inside, after about 10 or so minutes the doctor called me with a follow up about his check up and diagnosis. They were all SO NICE and Informative on everything. It was my cats first time being out and alone with anyone in 8 years, and he came out in a great mood! They told me he didn't freak out on them at all. It's been 3 days now and his eyes are looking normal again and he's such a happy cat again. They listened to me, treated Juju perfectly, and gave us amazing service for a reasonable price. We had been going to another vet for the past 3-4 years, they were great till a recent situation where they gave an insanely high estimate for a semi-necessary surgery. So we were told to check out Paws and Claws for a 2nd opinion by a friend. First off, it was great to come to Paws and Claws, and actually be taken in at the scheduled appointment time. The appt was at 9am, we got there at 850am to do the initial paperwork, and a vet assistant took us back to an exam room before 9am. Our original vet is only doing drop offs, and we've waited 30-50min every time. It was also great to actually see the doctor with our dog. Paws and claws has someone in house who has a ton of experience with cystotomy surgeries, which is what our dog needed, which made their estimate already far lower than our previous vet. To be direct, the surgery came out to $1450(a bit lower because we already had a ton of pain meds as the other vet over prescribes), while our original vet had quoted $3200 up to $3800, their price in part being higher because they do not have someone in-house and would need to pay a premium for a traveling surgeon. I also believe that x-rays/radiographs are far more reasonably priced at Paws and Claws. Everyone has been really helpful and kind and very good with communication here. Our original vet I still think is good, its a hard service to provide, but we are definitely bringing our dogs to Paws and Claws moving forward for wellness checks and all non-emergency needs as their service has been exceptionally great, and their prices are great because they have a lot of skilled in-house staff. read more

I was referred to Paws and Claws by a coworker and friend . Rocio who is awesome set up my initial first appointment for my dog's laser therapy. Dr Rambaud came in and sat down on the ground with my dog and myself. She went over my dog's history and was really cool to chat with about my Dog. All the techs were super nice. My pet and I have been going to P&C over a year. We've had relatively good experiences with scheduled preventive care and planned neutering surgery. Even for appointments planned well in advance, there have frequently been reasons requiring us to come in additional times and unscheduled. Why not schedule them the way you execute? Clear message was our time wasn't a consideration, nor was the office efficiently managing. I pushed back when multiple visits seems to be a theme. Why it matters: When we've had urgent needs, they have never been there. They seem to have no room in the schedule for urgent patient needs. A couple referrals, offer to add to cancellation list. Recently I called a few times explaining with greater detail how urgent our need was. I got another woman who said a tech agreed my pet needed immediate care and gave me a referral to a new urgent care I wasn't aware of. It is random degree of care and stressful when we need help. Some feedback - please don't say "see if I can fit Fido in" as if it's getting a haircut or massage. Give some information that can help or just say sorry, no and hang up. Getting a reminder from your app within an hour of this experience is what made our decision clear. read more

I was told they were booked but for an additional $95.00 they'll squeeze me in... I spoke with the supervisor, she claimed Dr. Jameson implemented this policy. Please forgive me I am a little shook about today . My dog ate Rat poison, from Neighbours house . I walked in P&C freaking out and they took her in after I begged, II got super anxious about all the questions and forms ... asked them to save her first and I would give them my car if I had too . Doctor Jameson was finally called and saw her right awayshe induced her to vomit to get rid of the poison she had just swallowed . I am still watching her for convulsions but so far she seems ok . They did everything they could , I never had a good treatment here in the desert , VCA and other places are just about the money and I uruslly drive to other cities but due to the emergency I couldn't drive far . This Dr. Jameson really seemed to care and she was so caring and professional I can't thank her enough . I was waiting for the bill to be super high due to my emergency , but it wasn't . why this dvm has high ratings is just plain weird. they make a big deal about their special kind treatment of pets but that is baloney. they have a no-exam table exam room. big deal. pet gets comfortable but then is swooped up and brought to large, noisy exam room with several staff. and pet gets nervous all over again. they obviously forced my pet into her carrier, brought her out to me covered in loose feces. a beautiful sweet little cat. traumatized. when i changed dvm, they were too lacking intelligence or initiative to forward complete (!) records sent dr roberts only one page. outdated page. making it look as if pet was nearly two YEARS overdue on vaccine. jamison originally wrote Rx for TWICE the dosage of Gabapentin- she wrote 100 mg. it is 50 mg and thankfully i noticed the mistake immediately. jamison spends a lot of time and energy on promotion but she should pay attention to details and hiring/training professional staff. read more

First time here with my two 7-year-old kitty brothers and was so impressed! The examining rooms were like somebody's living room with a couch and some enticing climbing and hiding structures. My guys took advantage of the latter, one of them opting for under the couch! We have taken out 14 year old Shih-Tzu and 7 year old pit bull here and have been extremely happy with both the vets and the front desk ladies. Both vets are personable and thorough. My 19 year old Italian Greyhound suffered a stroke overnight, and I had to make the very difficult decision to let her go. I just moved to the area and I was happy with my dogs first regular checkup a month ago with PAC. This morning was not the case. When I called them to ask for an appt and the receptionist asked for what I informed my dog was having shallow fast, difficultly breathing, even with that it was first appt 4/22 and referred me to a VCA. Our previous vet even in covid mode if there was a emergency saw the emergency and all of us pet parents understood we may have to wait longer. This vet didn't seem to care even in an emergency. I called another vet office who took the time to referral me to to a vet that took my dog since she was having difficulty breathing and she was diagnosed with congenital heart failure. NO thanks to Paws and Claws my dog will be able to get treated. I would've given a minus 5 stars but it's bot an option. I'm sure vets like MDs took oaths to save their patients lives I think the vets and owner needs to refresh on this and rethink how they manage emergencies. Currently they do NOT care for any emergencies of their patients. read more

Hands down the best vet we've ever visited. I love my cat's primary vet in Denver, yet we were traveling and needed help. The staff is wonderful, yet it's the layout of the place that's best! Terrible place. Im on a short visit and have an emergency situation needing pet medication and checkup and this is the nearby pet care. The receptionist stated i need to make an appointment for February. I mentioned the situation and how we are only in town for a few days and need to see the vet. I asked the receptionist to take my name, number and ask the doctor if he would make an exception. The receptionist refused to do so. Geez!! We have been taking our 11-year old ShihTzu Gordie to Paws&Claws for one year. On his first visit Dr.Juarez knew almost immediately that he had a Cushings Disease, the necessary tests confirmed the devastating disease. Due to the many conditions that come along with the disit was necessary for Gordie to visit either Dr.Juarez or Dr.Jamison on a regular basis. He was never scared or skittish to go to Paws&Claws, the techs, front desk ladies and doctors are so compassionate and kind. Gordie passed from this horrible disease and the good people at Paws and Claws made the final arrangements much easier because of their caring ways.
