My first experience was after an urgent care issue . My cat 13 years old developed a respiratory infection and I needed a new veterinary office to get me through. The entire office is very caring and helpful. After 3 antibiotics which none helped, she took a turn for the worst. Sadly there was no coming back from this. After almost 2 months I knew we had to say goodbye. They were so kind and helped me through. It's been just a week and I am still so sad . This is hitting harder because she got so sick at the end. Dr. Taylor Homec and his team are not only the most efficient staff i've experienced in the pet world, but they are so kind and personable! They were quick to take my two cats in as new patients. They scheduled and performed a neutering (and trimmed their nails too). Dr. Homec was quick to diagnose an entropic eyelid on one, and referred me to another outstanding vet - a pet Ophthalmologist in Upland (Dr. Sara Calvarese - fabulous). I cannot recommend this office more highly. read more

I made an appointment with their vet tech for a gland visit. This was our first time here and I found Homec via Yelp. The woman at the front desk was very nice and organized when I called to schedule our visit. I was able to get in within a few days . The interior is super clean, bright, and fresh and I learned that this space had opened recently. The appointment went well and I will absolutely make this our "valley veterinarian"! Other pros: great parking lot and in the same shopping area as Earthwise Pet (self-service dog wash and pet supplies). read more

Dr. Homec and his team are professional, responsive, thorough, and knowledgeable. I've never felt that I've had treatment plans that are "pushed" on me nor have I ever felt upsold. He makes recommendations that he feels are truly necessary, and even within those recommendations, there are more treatment options. Came in for a scheduled 8am neuter appointment. The front desk ignored me completely even after I walked up and said good morning and told them why I was there. I sat down waited and watched as every other dog was taken to the back, then it was just us waiting another 10 mins. I figured they are doing office work but will acknowledge us soon to checkin my dog and answer my questions soon. Waited... further ignored us, another person walked in for same appointment but they began chatting and going over information with the other person, we did not exist. We quietly left. They call 8mins later I was near home and said they can now take my dog in. Really! you carelessly forgot and ignored us, what will happen to my little dog who cannot advocate for himself if I left him there. This experience did not leave me feeling confident in Homec. read more

I originally found Homec Veterinary Care via this platform, they also happen to be practically around the corner from my home. A couple of months ago I brought our pup for his first annual, shot updates, etc. The intake was easy, I uploaded all his records electronically using a format sent by the office. The visit went off without a hitch, pleasant team, great doctor. Fast forward to today... We noticed a couple days ago that our pup was scratching a lot and then licking his paws. We did the usual Google stuff and thought that it was dry skin, irritation, etc. not an urgent care type of thing. Got some medicated shampoo and some Omega 3 chews. Last night we noticed that the little guy had bumps and raised hair all over his back, almost like hives but the skin looked ok. This morning, he wouldn't get up, the bumps were worse than before and I had to literally carry him to the backyard. He also hadn't eaten all the day before. I called the office at 9am and explained what was going on, and that he seemed to be worsening. Thankfully they got us in within a couple of hours. Sure enough, seems to be an allergic reaction to something. Dr Homec gave him a couple of shots, along with instructions for the next week or so. Not only was the entire team absolutely wonderful to work with, empathetic and quick, but frankly the charges seemed totally reasonable to me. I have been coming here for about a year and could not be happier. I have three cats and one dog that I bring here. The office is very clean and organized. The staff is so helpful and great with all my pets and the doctor is amazing. Extremely compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable. I always feel like they take their time with my concerns and never make me feel silly. Their pricing is reasonable (actually on the cheaper side compared to others in the area). It was my first time visiting this office with my kitty, Sweetums! The staff that interacted with me was super helpful . Regina at the front desk helped me carry in the kitty for me. He is a heavy one! Bobbie was with me most of the time and was absolutely lovely on all levels. Thank you! The Dr. was very friendly and thorough and I love the fact he is younger and up with current practices. He also came out at the end to speak to me about a couple of my questions. I liked the follow through. The office very clean and orderly - the overall look is fresh! The pricing up there, but then most are these days. I was quoted and then I chose which things to do and which ones I will wait until next month. I do wish there were payment plans, then the bottom line wouldn't seem so daunting. Extremely impressed by the level of compassion and care my beloved pet and I received today. I had to make the tough decision to put my baby "to sleep". The staff was accommodating, sympathetic and made the process as peaceful as possible. Adopted a 5 year old female Shih Tzu and the poor dear came with a cough and sniffles. Dr Homec was very attentive and thorough. He wanted to check her chest to see if anything serious was going on and have her an X-ray. He sent us home with antibiotics and ear cleaning treatment and even called the next day to see how she was doing. Within a week Princess was all better! I went in yesterday, one of my three pups was in need of a rabies shot. The office staff could not be more welcoming. I waited about 10 minutes before we were shown to the exam room. The Dr was also friendly and seemed to genuinely care. We had a wellness visit, rabies shot and a nail trim. We were in and out in less than an hour. It was very clean and I won't hesitate going back. My other pet has an appointment next week as a matter of fact. read more

I was very disappointed. My cat was pretty sick, congested & slightly constipated. They performed many tests and gave her a clean bill of health. For this I was charged over $1000! A few days later her symptoms reappeared. I'm not playing their game. Here is the scam. Overcharge vulnerable pet owners, say "she's fine." Then when you find your pet is still sick, they hope you come back & get charged more money.Don't fall into that trap! I'm low income, in the office when I asked about a reduced fee, he said that one of the meds cost less than what was on the bill. They appear trustworthy but don't be fooled. read more

I can't say enough good things about this vet. From doc all the way to front desk, super kind & caring. They saw us when my regular vet (now former vet) was unable to see my kitty who was screaming in pain. We went to urgent care in PD first, but he was acting somewhat fine when we were there. Got him home, it started again. Mickey was great straight out of the gate. She figured out how to get us in, we did X-rays and panel. Doc followed up next day and we had a plan. Bobbie, the vet tech, was terrific as well. My own (former) vet wanted to charge me an inconvenience fee to see my cat 22 hours later. The place is clean, Doc Homec is kind yet professional. He gave me a laundry list of things wrong with my kitty, but also had solutions for us. Great place. We are very happy with our new doctor. read more

BEWARE! The unprofessional, unorganized and disrespectful staff and vet seemed more concerned with charging my card than helping my pet... Homec insists on unnecessary paid "follow up" visits and suggests outrageously expensive tests for RX refills, despite proven efficacy of medications, or past diagnosis. Homec refuses to verify Chewy orders (online / discount RX fulfillment) and instead refers you to their OWN pharmacy where they grossly mark up the meds. Finally, the way this vet spoke to me was reprehensible. No well-intentioned pet owner should have to put up with belittling, or disrespect! Unfortunately, my experience with HOMEC was too terrible not to share, and I will be taking my pet and my business elsewhere. read more

Although the office is pleasant and the staff is friendly I don't feel I received value for my money and my dog now has an inflamed anus. The office visit charge was fine BUT if you compare there charges to other vets they are high ie. teeth cleaning, anal expression. I also was told my dog had a rash on her stomach which I can not see but purchased an expensive shampoo for ongoing treatment....I've lived in Palm Springs over five years and have had to use a vet in San Diego where the pricing and results are better. read more

Dr Homec and his staff are compassionate and caring. I brought my dog in for a routine appointment. He found cancer in the late stages. Dr gave me all of the options. I opted to keep my boy comfortable. Then waffled back and forth for awhile. Dr and his staff took my stressed out calls. Took my boy in whenever he needed to be seen. I have a dog with a few health issues and all of the staff there make me feel at ease and they calm my anxiety (I am admittedly a crazy dog mom). They are easily the best Vet in the area. I no longer have stress going to the vet! Everyone there is incredibly patient and kind. It is beautiful, clean and inviting, particularly for a veterinary office. Other vets have had to muzzle my dog for nail trimming and at Homec they are able to do it without. They take the time to make sure he is okay and comfortable. It is unlike any other vet I have gone to before. Happy to have found them. read more
