Bruno after they removed him from his case

My experience today was not good Usually it's pleasant but there's one problem they need to remove and that is the front desk person Raquel lI had been on ph with them a couple times today getting the card number correct and they said around 12 45 the meds would be ready so I go in around 4:15 When I asked her when she finally brought the medicine I asked what was taking so long she raised her voice and in a chest pumping reaction she lashes out at me because there short staffed then after I left I said you really should watch the way you speak and your tone with me instead of the normal ideal receptionist would have apologized so I turned around and said did your hear me what I said and she said I heard you that behavior I will not tolerate we spend a lot of money here and I send many people here and I can take my business to the really nice service at Pet Smart She should be immediately removed to the back where she doesn't interact with clients She had the opportunity to apologize and she did not there fore she wrecked your review from me Two years ago my review was great even tho there other reviews were not now Loving All Animals purchased this and the quality has declined

Waiting patiently to see the vet

This place has been so great for my geriatric cat. From the receptionists to the techs to the vet: they all give her the care and attention she needs.

Worst vet experience of my life - Cat Clinic tried to steal $600-$900 from me, and actually injured my cat. [NOTE: I subsequently learned on the CA Vet Medical Board website that this vet's license under a different name was voluntarily surrendered in December 2018 due to a violation. Its current license is under the name "TCC," which is misleading and suspect.] Lois is an extremely healthy and energetic 16-year-old cat (vets always comment that she presents as much younger). She has not been outside my home without me ever in her life. The Cat Clinic prevented me from going in the office with her "due to Covid." I was then told she was too agitated to examine and required IV sedation ($400 alone). They gave me an estimate of $1200-$1500 to examine her, payment required before the exam. When I asked the doctor what she thought the issue might be, she rattled off a list of conditions and invasive treatments that I would never put Lois through at her age. I told them to bring her back to me and sat confronting my healthy cat's sudden mortality. Then, the owner of the Clinic came out and presented a revised estimate of $750-$950 (Is this even legal?). Not sure why this wasn't the first estimate, so I have to assume they had tried to take advantage of me. Since I was desperate to learn why Lois was suffering, and it is nearly impossible to get an appointment in the Valley for a new animal, I agreed to the new estimate. Was told I would receive a call in 45 minutes. Two and a half hours later, they called to say they had done nothing, and it would be another 5 hours before they would be finished. I told them to bring her back to me. During this process, I spoke with 4 different people at the Clinic, all of whom gave me conflicting information. When I got Lois home, her hind legs were significantly weaker than before Cat Clinic took her from me. When I brought Lois to a different vet, she was examined with no issues (I'd given her CBD Oil - $30) and was treated for a serious UTI, which I had already figured out was the problem based on my own research. The new vet said the weakness in her legs was due to a strained pelvic ligament - which unquestionably occurred while she was being held by Cat Clinic. The entire process at the new vet took 1 hour and cost $210. Thank God I did not put Lois through the IV sedation that Cat Clinic required to examine my cat instead of telling me they couldn't treat her - this is animal abuse. I advise avoiding this place at all costs - buyer beware.

    Charlie, my cuddle buddy.

Definitely one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write but also an easy 5 stars to this…read moreurgent care and their staff. Yes, the building is nice, modern and clean but what really makes this place amazing is the staff that work here. I'll forever be grateful for the support and compassion they showed me during one of my hardest moments in life. Rewind: I'm actually not a local and was traveling here from out of town. I was staying in the desert for a few weeks so I brought my dog and cat down with me. In the most stressful of scenarios (traveling and being on vacation) my 13-year old cat fell ill almost immediately after we got into town. After a few days of her seeming not like herself and not eating, I brought her here to the urgent care. A few hundred dollars later and testing it was confirmed that my little one was dying (This wasn't a complete shock as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease a year before with a prognosis of only a few weeks to months to live.) You just never expect to be away from home when something like this happens.... The biggest blessing was that the doctor and techs encouraged me that I could take her home to have a couple more days to process the decision of putting her down/to see if there could be any improvements (even though it wasn't likely.) Having those extra couple days to say goodbye made the process so much more bearable and assured me that I wasn't making a rash decision... when you see your pet declining you know when it's time. I was just really grateful for how the team was so compassionate and flexible with me as I made this decision. While they were all professional, they felt like friends when I needed them most. Bringing my baby back to be euthanized on a holiday weekend was traumatic, but the team handled everything with grace and compassion. They have a special room where you get to say goodbye to your baby and it is very tranquil and lovely overall when dealing with such a tragedy. At the very minimum you would hope for a safe space when enduring something so difficult and they definitely created that....Again the team couldn't have been lovelier. They see these kinds of things every day, but they made me feel like I mattered. The whole process was expensive, but at the end of the day I would do anything for my animals so it just comes with the territory. Looking back, it was worth every penny to make an informed and educated decision and with how well everything was handled from start to finish that I'm so grateful for this team. I hope you find yourself here under less painful circumstances, but I am here to say that this is an amazing urgent care and the staff are A+.

I brought my French Bulldog, Otis, to urgent care because he had been experiencing decreased activity, weakness, and changes in behavior that were concerning to me. Upon arrival, he was panting heavily. As a French Bulldog owner, I understand that panting can be alarming, but Otis frequently becomes worked up in the car, during travel, and in unfamiliar environments, especially during extreme heat. Before my pet's history was fully discussed or I was even checked in, staff immediately focused on the panting and began discussing sedation and emergency concerns. I was initially told about a medication costing approximately $600. Later, the veterinarian explained a different medication was needed so he could examine Otis, and I agreed to those charges. After Otis was taken to the treatment area, I waited for updates. Instead of receiving information about his condition, I was approached multiple times regarding financing options and credit applications. At that point, I still had not received any explanation of what the veterinarian had found, what his physical examination showed, or what the next steps would be. Eventually I was presented with an estimate of approximately $2,000. When I asked what had been found on examination and whether the veterinarian would discuss his assessment with me, I was told that nothing could be determined without additional laboratory work and X-rays. I specifically asked if the veterinarian would return to explain his clinical impressions or provide any guidance regarding the symptoms that brought me in, and I was told no. What disappointed me most was not the estimate itself. Veterinary medicine is expensive, and diagnostic testing has value. My concern is that I left without any meaningful discussion of the problem I brought Otis in for. The visit became entirely focused on diagnostics and financing before I ever received an explanation of what the veterinarian thought might be going on. As a pet owner, I understand that a diagnosis cannot always be made without testing. However, I believe clients deserve clear communication, a discussion of examination findings, and an opportunity to understand the veterinarian's concerns before being asked to make major financial decisions. I left feeling like the primary focus was obtaining approval for diagnostics rather than helping me understand my dog's condition. After spending nearly $300, I still did not have answers regarding the symptoms that prompted the visit in the first place. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with future clients, particularly those who are scared, trying to do the right thing for their pets, and working within real financial limitations.

I called because my dog had picked up a virus at the dog park (I think). Dr Homec wasn't working that weekend but I got an appointment for the following Monday morning. His colleague was working that day so I brought my dog in for treatment. She diagnosed her quickly and gave me medicine and sent me on my way. I was asked to follow up the next week. When I brought her in, I mentioned that she had started refusing her medicine. The vet gave her a shot which took care of the infection. They remembered that I had asked about Dr Homec and he was working that day and wanted to see me. Obviously the animal he had been taking care of had since passed, after all it was over 30 years ago. He was at a different office at that time and helped her with everything she got into. She was an active kitten who got into all sorts of mischief. Like being bitten by a snake, getting into a fight with another animal and getting beat up, among other stuff. He also performed her hysterectomy because I didn't want any kittens. Well he came in and chatted with me and asked about the cat and the dog I now have. Very gracious. The way my pup was treated at Carter was top notch and I would definitely recommend them to all.

The warm greeting and the usual detail exchanged made the process very easy. Jose was the groomer, believe that was his name. The sweetest and welcoming. The usual chit chat on what we wanted and that was that. The place looked well kept and clean. I believe you're also able to bring your pup in for a bathing as well. The quick introduction, instructions and explanation and we were on our way. It's located in a strip mall off the main strip so you could also get all your errands done. Of course some things were done while we waited. It was about an hour and half till it was time for pick up. They do text/call to let you know. The place was great and the staffs were all very friendly and professional. We did feel welcome which is alway a plus everywhere. Pricewise was good. I believe it's based on size and what services maybe needed. Obviously if certain things is needed, then additional fee is added on. Jose was a doll and very sweet. Took very good care of our little one. Seemed like we may have found something new here.
