We were very worried about leaving our two 6 month old frenchie puppies with just anyone for a week over Christmas so we did extensive research on dog sitters in the area. I asked a friend at work and he suggested Paws in the City to me. When I went home and gave my gf the info, she said she had them at the top of her list. Aubrey came over with his boxer, Boots, and met Rocky and Romy and they got along well. Aubrey was very accommodating to our schedule and sent us photos of Rocky and Romy "running his apartment" as he put it haha. As one reviewer mentioned, we were a little jealous that they didn't miss us more while we were away! It was good to know that our babies were being taken care of and that they were having fun making new friends! I'll definitely be using them again when I travel! read more

If I could give a million stars I would! I'm in shock that there is even one bad review! They are extremely efficient as well as professional! My pups love them so much, to the point that they have broken always to run and say hi to one of Aubrey's walkers! They are always on time as well as give walks even if it's last minute! I usually use this company if I didn't have time for a walk from running late to work or when I go out of town! I always have a great vacation because I know my babies are in safe hands! It breaks my heart that someone can be so unreliable and irresponsible when it comes to caregiving for innocent animals. I received the business card for "paws in the city " from a reliable source and though I had found a good match for someone to walk my dog while I was at work only 3 days per week. Seems simple enough.... But my experience was stressful and disappointing. I was a client for only a short 2 weeks. Here's where the problems occurred. I'm a nurse who works 12 -13 hour shifts. After returning home from work one evening I noticed that my dog was distressed and urgently needed to go to the bathroom. Odd as he should have received his afternoon walk just a few hours prior. While waking him that evening he immediately voided and it was apparent he hadn't gone for a walk all day! The next day I strategically placed the leash to see if it had been moved when I got home, it hadn't. When I confronted Aubrey he said he completely forgot about my dog even though he had been in the building twice that day to walk other dogs. While upset I understand things happen and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Sadly, a week later the same thing happened. Came home to the leash not having been touched and my dog distressed to go outside. Furious I confronted Aubrey and got nothing but a unprofessional response. I'm in shock at his lack of compassion, professionalism, time-management, responsibility and organization. I would not recommend him to anyone! Paws in the City is the best option in Miami for cat-sitting! Aubrey took care of my kitty Fiona for almost 2 weeks while I was away, visiting my home each day to feed and play with her. I got regular photo updates and even a few Instagram posts featuring Fiona, so I knew she was being looked after (not to mention getting Insta-famous!) Aubrey was great to work with, and was super responsive via email and text as well, with payment made easy through Venmo. We love Paws! New to Miami and didn't know who to trust with my little Pom. I was referred to Paws by one of my neighbors. When I reached out to reserve accommodations, Aubrey was extremely pleasant and professional. I was also happy to meet his canine Boots. Boots and my Pom were instantly smitten and were kissing by the time the introductions were over. I knew then Paws would work well for me. I was so happy that this is a domestic sitting service - meaning the pets are in a home instead of at a pet store in a cage. Aubrey was very timely with pick up and drop off. I should have posted this review a long time ago, but never bothered to do so until I saw the name pop up on my Facebook newsfeed and it brought me back to my first and last experience with this so called rescue. I adopted a dog from paws in the city a few years back told that the dog was friendly with other dogs and children of all ages. I should have known when they were so eager to get rid of the dog that a volunteer drove 2 hours to get to my house to drop the dog off and he was FREE. The first day I had the dog he showed signs of extreme aggression towards a dog I already had. I let it slide because he was scared and new to my home. That should have been the first red flag because day 3, the dog ATTACKED MY 3 YEAR OLD SON! I don't mean snapped at him, I mean my son got 17 stitches in his face and head. And when I put the dog down, paws in the city tried to sue me for animal cruelty. They were going to take the dog back and find him a more suitable home! Are you kidding? I would NEVER adopt another pet from these people! read more

It takes patience and a loving spirit to deal with my pitbull/boxer mix Thunder. Fortunately, he was in capable hands at Paws in the City. I was visiting Miami on a business trip for 5 days, so leaving him in a cage for even 24 hours wasn't an option. I was a little apprehensive about leaving Thunder in the hands of strangers, but within minutes of meeting the founder, they got along perfectly. They even texted me pics of him, and he looked as if he were right back at home. Don't leave your pets in the hands of just anybody. They deserve the best in quality care. I was trying to find a reliable dog walker and it was impossible! Then I found Paws in the City and I'm so happy I did. My little puppy Graham means the world to me and I feel completely safe leaving him in the very capable hands of Aubrey the owner of Paws in the City. He offered to either walk him alone or with his cutie pie dog, Bootz. I picked to have him walked with Boots and it is so great because Bootz is the most perfectly trained dog I have ever met and my dog is learning how to behave better just from hanging out with her! They love each other and it is so cute. I know my pup loves Paws in the City because every time Aubrey and Bootz come over he runs to the door and gives them both kisses. Aubrey is very well organized and leaves a report card for him every walk and sends pics. It really is the best case scenario you could ever have! **AWESOME SERVICE** I was visiting Miami on a 2 week long business trip from ATLANTA GA... I hate boarding my baby girl so on this trip I decided to take her with me... I was in trainings most of the day but on my breaks and lunch hour I would run to the hotel to walk, talk and play with her... Since she was a rescue I really hate leaving her caged for extended amounts of time... On the 3rd day of this running back and forth I decided to just see what Miami had to offer in the arena of doggie daycare...(affordable doggie daycare) I saw Paws In The City and immediately I smiled because the name was clever to me... I spoke to a very nice gentleman that I later found out was the founder and owner of this small business... As they say when a great match has been made... The Rest Is History! He shows up (on time) with his beautiful boxer (also a rescue) and my Winnie took to them both... IMMEDIATELY!! Needless to say that the rest of my business trip was made a ton easier because I didn't have to worry about my little girl... I would get pics of her during her time with them and that really meant a lot and IT added a great touch to their already priceless service... With all of this being stated I recommend them with the highest praise... Especially if you have a rescue animal that's a little leery/skittish or spooked by strangers... I have been through several pet sitters and boarding facilities and i was very impressed and pleasantly surprised at the outstanding service that Paws in the City provides. Even though I insisted my dog was potty trained, he had a poop incident on their carpet the same night I dropped him off, which no one expected, but instead of making an issue about it they chalked it up to a freak accident and reassured us that it was ok. I didn't worry about a thing while I was away, my pup was having lots of fun and I received photos and videos regularly. To top it off they even bought him a free chew toy and gave him a complimentary bone that they apparently gift to all clients' pups when you go to pick them up. My pup was even depressed for a couple of days after leaving. Again, truly impressed and I will never have to worry about where I'm leaving my pet ever again. If you live in the city and don't have time to walk your pet sometimes or have to travel, look no further, these are your guys. read more
