She needed a full shave to get her knots out, and we were willing to wait until they had an opening, but the staff could see how uncomfortable the dog, was and offered to fit her in between appointments. this is the worst dog groomer. the owners are rude and flaunt there rudeness. they had our dog for 3 hours and didn't touch him for his bath and hair cut. they promised him in 2 hours. it's my moms service dog and she was panicky. instead of apologizing they openly were combative, volatile, hostile and they threatened me. they are over priced and it's just not worth it. they didn't ask for shots or medical records. bad bad business owners and business plan. only take your pet here if you don't care about it!!!! read more

I brought in a real "problem" -- very senior (14 1/2) long-haired corgi with mats everywhere, Howard Hughes toenails, incontinent, a real hot mess... but Ramona and her crew treated my darling dog like royalty and got the job done with professionalism and compassion. I was back in Normandy Park this last week helping out a family who recently lost someone. I was helping walk their dog, Ozzy, everyday to tire him out and get him out of the house so the family could have some more down time that was much needed. I took the dog into Paws in the Park to get some chewy treats to distract him for when I brought him back home to his family. I took him in another day for a scheduled grooming visit which they did a FABULOUS job on! He is a beach dog who gets covered in sand and loves to swim in the ocean. Ozzy came out so fluffy and soft and smelling so fresh and clean! We accidentally left his harness there and they took the time to deeply clean the harness of any stains. I ended up going in a third time to get some doggy relaxers because I had such a PAWSitive experience the first two visits, again, they were incredibly helpful and kind and remembered me each time. The owners, Ramona and Julie were simply THE BEST. They were so kind and helpful every time I came into their store. When they heard about the loss, they threw in extra treats for the dog and were so genuine and caring about the family's loss. Zoe always looks so pretty when she gets the full grooming package from here and maybe it's just me but when she walks out, she seems more confident haha. The groomers I've chatted with are all incredibly nice and highly knowledgeable about a range of topics. For instance on my most recent visit I mentioned I was afraid Zoe would bite me if I tried to brush her teeth. The groomer shared tips about how to brush safely. The one time when Zoe was nicked (she's old and has lots of bumps!), the groomer immediately owned up to it and apologized. Honestly, I'm shocked she hasn't been nicked more given how short her summer cut is and how bumpy her skin is. This place is trustworthy, reliable, and is highly skilled with what they do. If you don't like strong smells, I'd recommend the hypoallergenic route. It gets rid of Zoe's stink, but she does not smell like perfume which is perfect for cuddle sessions. I can't say enough wonderful things about Paws In The Park. We have a dog that never did well with nail trims and we always had to give him anti-anxiety meds prior to his nail appointments. I've been very happy with Paws in the Park Pet Supply and our groomer Sarah. Sarah has been grooming our dog for years. Sarah is very caring and gentle with our 14 year old dog. Paws in the Park is a small friendly Grooming Salon inside a Pet Supply Store. This makes it so convenient for picking up dog food, treats or other dog needs. I like the fact that In the same shopping center I can get a coffee at Starbuck and then go to QFC to do my groceries shopping for the week. .... but that is just a side benefit. read more

I picked up my pup at 7 am from a transport that brought dozens of pups from texas on a 4 day drive. I wanted to get my ( smelly itchy) pup a bath before I brought him home and trying to avoid the chaos of introducing him to my other pups and bathe him at the same time. when I got there I was told that they were booked solid and I could make an appointment for the next day. I said oh no! I need to bath him now and I explained the situation. the owner came out and told me wait a bit, she would fit him in. She told me they had donated supplies to three little pitties a few weeks back and she was familiar with the rescue. My pup was in within 10 minutes, and out he came bathed, nails trimmed and ears cleaned with tail wagging. I had only had him for 2 hours at this point and he was scared to death when I picked him up:) When I went to pay I was told it was on the house! I have brought my other 2 adopted pups into paw in the park prior to this day as well and the staff has always been great with them. kudos and thank you for your generosity owners and staff at paws in the park! read more

So very pleased with the groomers, my dog does NOT like water and trying to bathe her at home was a disaster. When I picked her up she was not only beautifully groomed with perfect nails, but she was happy and not in a huge rush to leave. I have found a permanent place to get my dog bathed and their prices are beyond reasonable. My new favorite place to purchase dog and cat food that is not generally stocked by most pet stores. read more

I took my toy poodle puppy there for her first hair cut, and not only did she look AWFUL, they covered a mistake where they cut her hair way too short with a bow. It was also way more expensive than anywhere else. They charged me and extra $20 for "attitude"!?! I can only imagine that means that she was wiggly, but she's a baby, so that's usually expected! (And how bad could it have been? She weighs 7 lbs!) They also didn't trim her nails or the hair in her ears. We will not be going back, and I would not recommend them to anyone, even my enemies. read more

Worst grooming job ever, but the most expen$ive! Haven't been back since, & don't plan on it. The day I came in, I had both my mini & standard Schnauzers w/ me. Had a cast on my arm from a recent surgery & the dogs were being typical terriers, but the clerk acted like I was a pain & HUGE inconvenience for even coming in, & did not bother to offer her assistance, even though no one else was in the store. Nice! Made it to the back where I dropped off my standard. When I went 2 pick her up I was shocked & appalled @ the haphazard & very unprofessional job, but paid my bill & even tipped the gal who groomed her 15%! I seriously want to kick myself now for not saying anything. Why didn't I? Because her attitude was rude, unfriendly, & condescending towards me. & I was intimidated by her heavy piercings & tattoos, which made her appear even 'harder.' Not my favourite 'dog store' by a long shot now, & I shop a lot for treats, accessories, & toys for my 'kids.' Bummer! Paws In The Park totally lost me as a customer. read more

I went there very stressed out I got a new Kitten and my kitten wouldn't eat for over 24 hours I explained to the lady everything Ive tried and told her i was thinking about buying some kitten milk she was very nice told me to just take it she knows how it is. didn't charge me for it. she told me to take the bottle too but not to use it if i didn't have too so i got home poored the milk over my kittens food and he started eating it YAY! they defintally got my business Thank you so much! read more

My favorite groomer Sarah Stewart recently came to Paws in the Park. She has been grooming my dog for several years and as always she does a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. I have met several of the other gals who work in the grooming salon and they all seem very nice and professional. The salon is connected to a pet store selling dog food, treats etc and they have an excellent selection as well. If you live in the area you have to check this place out. I personally drive about 35 minutes because Sarah is that good and the store has a great selection with very fair prices. read more

They are very busy so plan to book a few weeks in advance. They did a good job on my cocker. They are a little pricey. Same cut from Petsmart is $20 but I have moved so it's convenient and they get your pup in and out. They don't sit in crates all day waiting to be groomed. And staff is very nice read more

They are now located in Normandy Park. We had a coupon for a grooming, we took our dog in and it was perfect. We have a very fickle Pomeranian who does not do well with grooming. Monica takes the best care of my baby!! My dog was 11 and had never been professionally groomed and I was nervous to have it done. I was tiring of grooming him myself though and decided to give it a try. Monica made me feel comfortable and reassured me he would be alright and showed me where he would be groomed and discussed throughly what I wanted done and what I didn't. She even suggested I bring him in extra early so he would be the only dog as it would limit stress. She then called just before he was done so he wouldn't have to wait in a cage. When I came to pick him up he was being held and petted. You can tell it's not just a job for her she really cares. read more

We have - yes - high maintenance pups. Both are rescues and have some anxiety about being away from us. I cannot say enough of the staff in the grooming department and the store. Monica was able to earn their trust right off the bat and the rest of the team has been just lovely.
