I would not recommend this store. Their prices are significantly higher than other pet stores, and the customer service was disappointing. When I purchased a dog crate, the store associate explicitly told me I had **72 hours** to return it for a refund if it didn't work out. Unfortunately, the crate wasn't the right fit for my dog, so I brought it back within that timeframe. That's when I was told they only offer **store credit**, not refunds. If the policy was truly store credit only, why would an employee tell me I had 72 hours for a refund? I would never have purchased the crate had I known that. The information I was given at the time of purchase was misleading. Save yourself the frustration and shop at Jake's Pet Supply instead. Their prices are better, and their customer service is far superior. read more

I live about 20 minutes away from downtown LW but we love coming for breakfast here and the day I came in my husband decided to go for a haircut so I was shopping. The man immediately came up and said hello and asked if I needed help. I explained I was only looking. I just recently got a puppy and bought a bunch of stuff and one item I paid $13.99 for just the day before was $16.99 here. There was a couple other things I just recently bought that each item was higher priced here. The $3 difference was the largest difference. They had way too many political items in here. I think politics and business should remain separate. The politics coupled with everything being priced higher than other places means I wont be back. Advice : Remove political stickers and dog toys. Keep it politic free. We have enough of that in our every day life. read more

This is a great local pet store. I buy all my dog food from them and they always give me great advice. If Eddie is around he is a wealth of helpful advice. They do have a reward system that counts bags of dog food purchased which goes toward a free bag. They also use Clover which earns additional discounts. I've been buying the same brand and flavor of cat food for awhile and recently the recipe changed so when I went to feed the new bag to my cat he refused to eat it. It's a $26 dollar bag of cat food so it's absolutely absurd that I cannot get an exchange to another flavor espiecially when I can get the same cat food and any big box store for $5 dollars less but chose to "support a small buisness". I know that I can get a refund or exchange at other stores so I will not be coming back here and I urge you not to come here if your animal is a picky eater, because now my cat hasn't eaten in 2 days and they refuse to and I've lost out on $26 dollars. read more

Cant say enough good things about this place. I had an issue with my ragdoll kitten for the first year of her life having terrible diarrhea and digestive issues daily. We tried EVERYTHING. Multiple vet visits with no resolution. Randomly walked into this pet store and got to talking with the manager about our issue. He recommended N&D lamb formula and ALL OUR PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED!! They have basically any kind of squeaky toy known to man along with treats, food (organic too, holla!) accessories for the pups. My wife and I are staying nearby and stopped in to pick up some treats and other items for our dog. The two young ladies were very helpful and exceptionally kind. We purchased our items and when we got out to the car, we noticed that the bill was unusually excessive as we buy these branded products all the time- must have been a mistake we thought. Drove around the block, went back in to return what we knew was an overpriced item. One of the kind young women had been replaced by a surly unfriendly old lady who refused to refund the money for the item and offered me a store credit which I refused. When we got back to the apartment we did some research online and no surprise, all the items we purchased are available at much lower prices from other retailers so a store credit for presumably more overpriced goods is not a solution. If buyer beware, we will be overcharging the customer is your store policy, perhaps you should post a sign stating so. My wife and I try to support local businesses when we can are willing to pay a bit more but asking customers to pay over 60% more is just wrong. Keep your money from this purchase lady because with such a horrible attitude, no understanding of customer service and epic overpricing, your going to need it. Reading some of the other reviews, it seems this lady needs an attitude adjustment, a new job or better yet, just retire !!!! read more

I have exclusively shopped at Paws since 2009. Caroline, the owner denied me a sample bag of food, while one of her employees was putting a $55 purchase of a 30lb bag of food into my car. As a loyal customer, I was outraged! I said I would be back for free samples. Caroline instructed her employees to not give me sample bags of food! Although I like to support my local businesses, I am now driving to "Wet Kisses" on Lantana and Jog to support Susan and buy my specialty high grade food there, from a dog trainer who knows her products. She loads me up with free samples that dog food companies supply. It's inconvenient but worth it. I shared a poor past experience I had with a large competitor and he just laughed and said "we don't do that here, we care about our customers". My GSD's LOVE the new healthier food we're trying and I think some of their allergic reactions to other "healthy" brands are slowing down (day 4). Whoa the owner is horrible, and they are way over priced! I came to them with a rescued pet situation and mistakenly went to them as my local pet store, instead of petco, they marked up their seresto flea collar $10 more than other places, I bought it to support their business...however as soon as I walked out the door the pet got adopted!!! So 30 minutes later I begged to refund it - I was actually crying because I can't afford $75 (I live in lake worth duh) - not only did they say no - the owner was horrible and literally said "we didn't force you to buy it" whhhhaaaat????? Never again!!!! Very disappointed with this place as a result of the owners dishonesty and product knowledge. She states on her description that the store is place to find natural and holistic products, but twice I'v found products made in China! Caroline, the owner told me she doesn't sell ANYTHING made in China! When items are shipped to America in containers from China, the Chinese spray the whole inside of the container and all the products in it with Formaldehyde and Pesticides, so no bugs or creatures get inside. Guess what, it gets inside your animal by digestion, when you buy it and give it to your pet to eat or chew! Carol only thinks about her bottom line, $$$$, and not about your pet! She is very unprofessional when asked about products, and displays poor behavior when approached about it. Love this local holistic pet store... Had some great pics of my doxie 'Doobie' done by their professional photographer right before the holidays. They had a fun 12 days of Christmas email campaign so I picked up Earthbath 20% off one day, a really nice leather collar for 40% on another day, and then scored on a booster seat for the car ride to grandmas house for Christmas dinner.
