This the best groomer I have ever been to! I've had a schnauzer and standard poodles groomed there and they look amazing every time! Thank you all for always taking care of my babies!!!!

I've been going to Ann there with my papillon for a few years and should've left this review a long time ago. Lately I've had some health issues and couldn't always bring her in when needed. She always does a beautiful job with bee no matter what. I've even bought in my longhair Siberian Forest cat recently and although he was worked on by someone else... he came out magnificently. They always do their best to get my dog completed and back to me so she doesn't have to be caged very long. She had been abused and I don't want her enclosed. I highly recommend!!!

We just moved to Lake Worth, so we had to find someone to trim Penny's nails. We were able to walk in and didn't have to wait very long. Penny was very reluctant to go with the groomer, more reluctant than usual. That was not a good sign. She yelped a few times in the process, something that never happened with our groomer in California. It didn't help that there were cages of dogs crying behind her. The salon was messy. The groomer didn't seem to have a firm, but loving grip on Penny. The job was okay, but her nails are not as smooth as they should be. We're not going back. read more

When I called they were super friendly and were able to provide a last minute service. When I picked him up he looked great!!! They also let me leave him there for an extra hour and a half (I was working so they did that huge favor for me) I will definitely be taking my Oreo back for his grooming. My doodle did have knots and was told he might have to be cut short which I was ok with. I showed pictures of how I would like the cut to be and the person said ok. I don't usually leave reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience here. I brought my Siamese cat in as a walk-in right after they opened in the morning and she was taken care of right away. The process was super quick and the energy there was definitely comforting because my cat was very relaxed and didn't fuss at all. She had her teeth brushed, ears cleaned, gland expressed, and nails trimmed. I'm visiting from California and I've never been able to find a groomer that does gland expression for cats, nor one that cleans inside the ears as thoroughly as they did here. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and my baby is smelling amazing and happy to be clean. Very thankful!! read more

Ann, Chad and Brooke are just fantastic! My Shih Tzu has been coming here for 10 years and she always looks great. She never minds going to them as she is treated so well every time. And I have to say, Chat caught my furbaby's anal gland cancer early so I've been able work with the vet to care for her. I highly recommend Shaggy Dog! read more

I've been bringing my little poodle here for about two years ever since we moved to the area. I've been to many groomers, and this is the first one that my dog has never been accidentally cut at. It's a small place, but they care about the dogs so I would encourage you to give it a try the next time you need to get a cut. read more

I only get to go here once a year as I'm only here for a few months in the winter. Took my 2 shipoos to Shaggy Dog. They are older dogs and I asked them not to keep them too long and to call when they were done. They were great and the dogs looked so good. Wish I had them back at home. Will see them again next year. read more

Today, I took in my Maltese and when I came to pick her up, whoever did the grooming on 11/19/24 did a complete hack job. My dog literally looks inbred and not like a dog. I expressed dissatisfaction to the Salty Dog owner Greg and I basically said, you don't honestly think she looks okay? Can you offer me a discount or something?" I will mention my dog is a senior dog, has anxiety and isn't the easiest to handle. I don't know if I would call this a café, it is more of a cat lounge with some drinks for purchase. They don't charge for admission but we were able to donate and they were very grateful. However I had this bookmarked forever but didn't really know where this place was in town. So yesterday on the way to the cleaners I passed it in the small strip of stores just west of the railroad tracks. The sign was out and I was like there it is! So today I stopped in. Lisa the shop owner was terrific. Of course her assistant is a beautiful cat. Very rare coloration of the fur. You must stop by and visit! I could literally stay here all day very extensive range of items for your fur baby. She also has a wide range of cat food. This visit I left with a soy candle which I have lite as I write my review, with a lovely scent of citrus. Also I got a heavy duty litter box scooper. With four cats and numerous boxes to clean daily the stronger weight plastic, the better. Lastly they have a beautiful range of cards. I got one for my friend so I can send her a note thanking her for Tux my third cat that came home with me from the Port of Miami during Hurricane Matthew. They have a range of kitty carriers that I will be back for. Glad to have come and will be back with my cat lover friends and perhaps my cats to shop.

The place is gorgeous and peaceful, the décor is absolutely beautiful, and it has an incredible energy. Melanie, the owner, is kind and incredibly warm. They have several kittens in a separate space, where you can play with them and spend time for a fee (which I disagree with). I think it would make more sense for everyone who visits to be required to make a purchase instead. Also, when you adopt, there are usually adoption fees involved as well, so having both feels excessive to me. For that reason, I'm giving 4 stars.

We have been using the Shaggy Dog for a few months now had some trials and tribulations with the correct Cutts but they are extremely friendly and very responsive to anything that we want for our dogs best interest.
