I had my dog teddy groomed at Paws and they did a great job! The first time was the first week in business, and their pricing was not solid so I got charged much more than I was initially told. However Tynasha did a PHENOMENAL job. So I waited a few months before returning and then I brought teddy back and the pricing was solid and made sense and they did a good job with his grooming! I was sad that Tynasha was no longer there but Carly(?) did a nice job too! I am hoping this place sticks around because it is small and more intimate than the bigger chains and it is close to my Collinsville home which make it easy to drop off my dog for grooming and pick him up. I like to support small businesses instead of going to the chains and the owner was very nice and an avid pet lover, so I hope he is successful! read more

A friend of mine got scammed here. They bought a harness and even tried it and left to get their wallet. When we were driving around, i wanted to see it and saw that some of it was missing the part where the harness connects to the collar. Tell them that we should return to get a replacement. So we did they went in alone and said the guy there refused to give ger a replacement and said it was faulty and he didn't have the inventory to do so. He even yelled at her for trying to get a replacement she paid around 30. All they really wanted was a replacement, not a refund. My friend even said thats how it was when they left the store, and the man said that they must've dropped it somewhere. They did a very patchy job on my dog. They did not even go as short as I asked and there are random patches that are down to the skin. Her paws and ears are very choppy and they didn't touch her tail and butt at all which was my biggest concern. I will not be returning. read more

Terrible customer service. I usually to support small businesses but I will never support this business. After traveling I noticed the small business from the interest so I decided to try it. When I entered I was not greeted. I continued to look around then needed to use the restroom , owner told me they do not have public restrooms. Hello you own a business and fo mot know the laws! ??? I walked out and will never return again. When I shop dog food and supplies I usually spend 400.00 plus(I buy in bulk and have 8 furry kids) This location would of been great as I travel to St. L often. Nice store but not so nice grooming. I booked an appointment for today at 12 PM for one of my dogs through their website, which included me making a payment (remember this part, it comes back). She's a tripod mix with hair that grows long in certain places, like her paws. Unfortunately, she will absolutely not let me trim her nails and I can sort of get her paw hair. This whole COVID-19 lockdown has been especially tough for her because she started losing traction on my floors lately since her nails and paw hair had gotten so long and her paw hair was starting to cover her pads. I don't hear anything from the store. No news is good news, I guess? So, I take her into the store. There's just one person there and she's doing the grooming. I told her I had a grooming appointment for my dog and she started listing off prices. "This is weird," I thought to myself. I drop my dog off right on time. Site said about 2 hours as an estimate for my service. It is around 2:45 PM and I am wondering if my dog is ready. I call the listed number multiple times. It doesn't ring at all and goes to a generic voicemail message. I pick myself up and go to the store. She is working on another dog. "Huh, maybe I left the wrong number," I think. The groomer disappears for a bit and comes out with my dog and she looks okay from a quick glance. I ask her if she tried calling me because I didn't get a call that she was ready. "I just finished her," she says. Nah, not buying that. You were just working on another dog. Why wouldn't you call before you started working on the other dog? I also tell her I tried calling and she tells me they don't have a phone there. Uh, okay. Then she begins to ring me up. Wait, what? I tell her I booked and paid online, showing her my email. She tells me she didn't know you could book and pay online and that she's helping her brother out, as he owns the store. Double "wait, what?" Brother-Owner, how can you have someone working the store for you that doesn't know your website is actively accepting appointments and PAYMENTS. Y'all, that's a big no-no. Grumble grumble. I buy some baked treats for my dogs. Those were a hit with them. Like I said, nice store. I get home with my dog and take a look. It's really an OKAY cut job. But then I get to her paws. Her nails were not trimmed. They were filed a bit with a Dremel but they are still LONG, as the tip taps on my hardwood floors agree with me. Her paws were trimmed okay-ish on the top but there's missed spots. However, the pad-side of her paw only showed my attempts at keeping them trimmed. I feel like I pretty much wasted $70 for what I got because the main reason I went there was absolutely not addressed and I doubt I'll see any resolution since it seems impossible to get a hold of the Brother-Owner. So, definitely go there for the actual stuff they carry but the grooming is inadvisable in the meantime. read more

Called to inquire about their services but they never answered their phone after multiple phone calls from 2 different phones (mine and my aunts). Sent a direct message on their Facebook page and it took them a while to answer and they said they would call me back, but they never did. Drove 7 miles to the store directly to see about making some purchases and getting my dogs nails trimmed, but there LITERALLY WAS NO ONE IN THE STORE. I knocked on doors, checked bathroom, checked Boost mobile (Think they own both of them) said hello said is anyone here for over 10 minutes and no one was ever in the store. I will never return or support them and I encourage others to do the same. They deserve less than zero stars. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE OR GROOM HERE. We dropped our dogs off to the groomer Carlie this afternoon. When we returned to pick up our dogs our Scottie mix had huge down to the skin patches everywhere across her back and neck. She looks like she has mange. However, more importantly the groomer left before we got there and did not tell us what happened prior to picking them up. When we got there and brought up the hack job the two girls on staff were so helpful and kind and agreed to call the groomer for us. The groomer would not answer her phone and then text that our dog "acted crazy and she did her best". In my opinion a horrible response when you have screwed up. An apology would be appropriate AND if she had called prior to us showing up and not tried to get away with it we would have laughed and just said "whatever" it's a dog and she doesn't care! Then in comes the owner, smelling like weed, and proceeds to tell us how great the dog looks through his pot filled haze. THEN proceeds to tell us that the groomer has been grooming for 10 years and was mumbling something incoherently about thousands of people...well I don't know what all of that meant but if this is 10 years of grooming both professional development and good business classes are in order. I know people make mistakes but the way we were treated was terrible. I will never go back to this shop because of the customer service not the service itself. I tried to support a local business even though the price is higher than other places and we tip well, this experience will make me second guess that. read more

I too had a terrible grooming experience at Paws Pet Market. I stopped in on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 to check out the grooming station and talk to groomer, Mia. I was shocked when she showed me the price sheet. $60 or $70 for full groom of nine-pound Yorkie! I told her that was almost double than I've paid at other groomers, that I was a senior citizen on fixed income and could not afford her prices. She told me that she would give me a "good deal" and I would be happy with price and the grooming of my dog. I took my Yorkie at 11:00 the next day. She told me to pick him up at 1:00. When I went at 1:00 to pick him up, Mia was not there. The guy that's always there (assume he's owner) told me she left for lunch. Really? Most groomers stick around to make sure you're happy with their service. The owner guy brought my dog to me and started to charge me $70. I told him that I had talked to Mia the day before and she promised to give me a good deal. He lowered price to $60 (which I paid under protest), got an attitude, and started talking about how expensive shampoo and conditioner was. He then walked away from me. My Yorkie looked terrible. He was shaved and I was clear with Mia that I did not want a summer cut. The hair on his head was cut uneven, one brow was much longer than the other. His front legs were not trimmed. His nails were not trimmed. And he didn't smell fresh. I don't believe he was given a bath. I strongly urge others to NOT take their dog to this place. They are a scam. I wish I had paid with credit card so I could dispute the $60 payment. read more

The store at collinsville is the worst. The store clerk told us a chew toy was indestructible and if it wasnt bring it back. So, we bought it back when our braque chewed the end of it in ten minutes. The new clerk said we dont exchange or refund chew toys regardless of what we told. I guess the other clerk just lied to us. We wont be back. The new clerk was was rude and told us just let the dog chew on it, even though it presented a choking hazard with parts falling off it. What uncaring person would even suggest that. Very unhappy with the quality of the grooming. I brought in two mixed coat dogs and they completely ignored my requests. My small dog had a cut body, but I said that he needed his feet, legs, and belly done because I already did his body at home, his legs are still scruffy and gross, as are his feet and belly. I requested that they leave the face fur on both dogs as it is, because they get uphappy as it grows back so I just leave it it long, and they just cut it on both. His cut is nowhere near even. I'm also fairly sure he wasn't bathed as he is still dirty. My large dog, was also fairly scraggly I gave the same face instructions, and told her to cut her coat just a little shorter and brush her to get rid of all the fly sways, I show up and there are still all of the fly always, except they cut her bangs. So I had to put my dog in the car and get blood all over my car as we drove home it did not stop bleeding until that evening after I put lots of pressure on it now my dog has a permanent piece of skin hanging from her ear I do not recommend this place and they still charge me full price! I'll never be back and I bought a few items from that place as well. read more

I had a terrible experience this past weekend. I dropped my dog off at 10:00am and was told she would be done "way before 4:00pm." At 3:00 I called for an update because I had not heard anything. The groomer asked me to pick my dog up at 4:00 so she would have enough time to dry her and then bring her back for her cut the next day. When I arrived, my dog had chewed through her harness, was still wet, and was halfway trimmed. I paid my due amount of $120 and agreed to bring her back the next day. She told me that she had multiple dogs to groom on Saturday. My thoughts are, that my dog was set aside and chewed through her harness out of anxiety. The groomer treated me horribly. She was so "put out" my how much work my dog was. The way she spoke to me made me feel absolutely awful. I brought my dog back the next day. I agreed that if it was too much work, then she should just shave her. I did not want to put my dog through another 6 hour session. 1 hour later I received a call and my dog was ready. She had been completely shaved. Her toenails were not clipped. One of her eyelashes was trimmed and not the other. She still had dirt in her "beard." I will never be back to this place. They need to figure out a new grooming system or get groomers that have a better attitude. read more

Not impressed at all with this store. Took my dog to get his nails clipped, SHE clipped one nail and buffed the rest charges $ 15.00 for 3min. Of work and was still sharp. Bought a $40 brush that she recommended and was to small went to take it back and they said all sales are final.. never again and don't recommend this place to anyone... stores like this is what gives my city a bad name. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place. If I could give it negative stars I would. For starters, I can promise they don't care about your pets. The owner won't even hold a customer's pet's leash because "he doesn't do that". He gives out false medical advice without any licensing. He told one woman his CBD oils would cure her elderly dogs terminal cancer. He told another it would reverse her dogs birth deformity. He shoves whatever brand gave him the best deal down customers throats no matter their dogs' current diet/needs. He had zero idea that constantly switching your dogs' diet can be extremely harmful. He lets his sister groom dogs even though she has injured more than she can count. The entire store is disgusting and stained with his dogs' urine. The store hardly ever gets cleaned. Their kennels for grooming are broken and unsafe. A large dog's head fits through the metal bars in one cage, the sharp parts having not been removed. Multiple of them do not latch properly. The owner lies, goes back on his word constantly, tries to weasel every cent out of his customers he can. All he cares about is money. His "newly remodeled self dog wash"? Not remodeled. Just painted. Not new. He closed it months ago because it didn't make money and now he lost all his groomers due to all the negligence in the store so it is now back open. His dogs are all from abuse-ridden commercial puppy mills and he doesn't care. No one like this should be running a pet store. It puts animals in danger in every way. I have thought for months on whether or not to post this review, but I cannot sit back and watch this continue. I care more about the pets' sake and the fake information being given to customers in that store. I hope it is resolved soon. read more
