The second time I used them, which included overnight and daytime visits I was ECSTATIC. The house always looks great when I get back and the minor chores like bringing in the mail and paper saved me a lot of legwork getting ready for vacation. But, wait....there's more. This time, I had a major airline fail and spent 28 hours traveling instead of 6. I was in a panic and needed another overnight stay by her sitter and I wasn't sure if I'd hear back in time to get on the next endless leg of my flight. Well, Dawn to the rescue! She took the time to come meet my dogs ahead of her stay and really get to know them, which immediately gave me peace of mind. The violations include puppies with horrible gum disease, rusty wire enclosures and brown grime, puppies with worn toe pads resulting in pain, expired medications, and puppies with clogged ears. Our family purchased a dog from this farm in 2023 and he had worms. This stunted his growth and he likely would've died if we hadn't stepped in. After curing his worms, he had an undiagnosable cough that lingered for months. PETA stepped in last year to urge the Grundy county attorney to take action and unfortunately they haven't. I have found them to be nothing but reasonable and compassionate. It only cost me $120 to neuter my 100 lb Labrador compared to the $500-600 quotes in Iowa city (Which is appalling). When I had to euthanize my pet skunk (whom I loved dearly) it was $30 vs $120 in Iowa city (again, appalling). They have treated me and my pets with dignity and afford people the ability to properly care for their fur babies and farm animals. So I ask you to keep in mind that people forget that surgery is complicated and not without risks. For every 500 surgeries there is going to be 1 or 2 that have complications. Don't listen To the negative comments from the Karen's of the world.
