His vet was closed. I also have a very delicate/difficult situation where I'm unable to travel. Time wasnt on his side. Time is precious and every second counts during an emergency situation. The Capeway was open and and I'll never understand getting turned down when I first called in a panic with an emergency situation. An emergency is urgent. Even if they went fully equipped for the whole situation why couldn't have they said yes bring him in right away? Maybe he would have had a shot to live. Maybe he could have been stabilized as i was getting in contact with someone who could have then drove him to the emergency hospital. Now here I was wasting time calling other places. In a panic my mom called my aunt and asked for help after I did. She called this place as she googled who was open. So after about 15 minutes wasted they said yes bring him in when my aunt called. Why couldn't it have been yes right away? Are all vets like this? Is this the system? Why can't vets take emergency situations? Especially in my situation where i told them i was unable to get to the emergency hospital. How can someone in this field turn down the opportunity to save a life? Just a lot of unfortunate situations in this world. I wasn't expecting to bring him in for free. Ready to pay, you beg and this is how the world works? At the end of the day at least I know what illness he had and why he died. I'm honestly am having a hard time putting everything into words and how I feel. She then proceeded to explain to me that you shouldn't cut down a Border Colie because they have a double coat. But, she did do one the week before and it looked really cute but you really shouldn't. That's great, I'm glad I just want a trim. My boyfriend arrive for our appointment and was asked what the dog was having done. He told her whatever was discussed with the mom, a trim. When he went to pick the dog up he walked right by her, not even recognizing her. She shaved our Border Colie completely down to nothing. I left several messages requesting a return call hoping for acknowledgement of her wrong doing. After several days of no return call I decided to go by. There was not one second during my interaction with this lady where she demonstrated professional behavior. She immediately began yelling at me telling me that's what I wanted. When I told her that was not true, she then said that's what whoever dropped the dog off said. This is also not true. She then began yelling that the dogs hair was matted and she couldn't get through it. Again, not true. She began screaming at me" call the cops on me, get off my property fatso." During this time her two dogs escaped from the house and down off her porch. She was yelling at them in between yelling at me. The poor dogs were going crazy, running in circles. My boyfriend and daughter dropped the dog off they heard them screaming at the dogs that were there, yelling at one because he wouldn't stay still. In such a hostile environment how could a dog stay still?! This lady is cruel to the dogs. She does not deserve to be in the presence of such special friends.
