I live in Greenwich, and this is just a short drive…read moreaway - the machines seem expensive (but then again I'm used to southern pricing) - it runs around $6 for a load in the largest machine (which honestly is so huge probably no one needs to use this regularly) $4.50 for the medium and $2.50 for the small ones. A TON of clothes can fit even in the smallest one, so if you're just one or two people who do laundry every couple of weeks and divide your clothes by color then probably use the smallest one. They have two change machines there which I've only had a problem with once - I put a $20 in and it only gave me $10 back. I have been cautious ever since and have used smaller denominations but it's never happened again. It's super clean, and a lot of space. The neighborhood is fine, I have never checked out the restaurant the other review mentioned but I will next time I go! Drying clothes is super cheap - 25 cents / 7 minutes, and on the high setting my clothes usually take 28 minutes - and that's all the clothes from the 2-3 small/medium loads that i usually do! Sometimes if a lot of towels it will take another 7 minutes. So all in all, not that bad!! The middle aged white guy and the young Hispanic guy who work there and sit behind the glass are really nice and helpful too.

I've been going here for about two years and in all that time only had one "mishap." A pair of bone white chinos looked pressed but when I got to my event I noticed that the minor juice stain I had from before was still on them. After throwing it in the washing machine the stain came out. It makes me think about whether these clothes I've been bringing are actually laundered properly. Note that this is the only instance that I have noticed that my clothes did not have the stains properly laundered out. Otherwise I've been happy with this store.

I'll keep this short. First, they refused to help me without my claim ticket which I forgot in my car. I had to make several trips to this business just to pick up my suit. It's old fashioned and they don't even use computers apparently. So you can't just give them a phone number and they find you that way. You have to have the ticket or it's a major hassle for the business and the clerk. Second, cash only which I was not aware of so again I had to make another trip to a bank and pay an ATM fee or just have my partner come grab it later since I was leaving town and I was already in a rush. I was trying to pick this suit up on the way out. Third, when I complained about these things making clear that it wasn't the clerk I was angry at but the policies of business she mockingly smiled at me and laughed at me. Fourth, they're way more expensive than competing dry cleaners. Fifth, they completely destroyed the pleat of my suit jacket. The bottom now flares out and the lapel won't stay folded down. They didn't even do a good job after all this nonsense. Lastly, I dropped off my suit in a suit bag. They didn't return the suit bag with the suit and since it was my partner that picked it up... There were about 4-6 ties in that bag and I presume now they're just gone, although I'm going to call them as soon as they open. They are absolutely the worst ever dry cleaner I've ever dealt with. And I would advise you to stay away despite the location on Greenwich avenue. Don't make the mistake like I did of assuming the location implies competency.

I had two separate trousers dropped off by two separate people who work for me. However I had only one item that was delivered back. When I called the ValuClean, the gentleman who works at the front answered and refused to listen to me. He claimed that my daughter had picked up one of the trousers (my daughter has been away and never been to this cleaner), accused me of being crazy, said he had other customers and yelled that he did not have time for me and hung up the phone. I called back and the same thing happened. I eventually got the owner on the phone and we sorted out what the confusion was . It turns out that the same house help person works for two families and she picked up my item thinking that it belonged to the other family, Though the owner apologized to me on my ask, on behalf of the employee, we will not come back to this merchant-one who treats its 20+ year long customer this way.

The owner is always there and is what seems to be a stain sorcerer, there isn't a stain he can't remove. They also do pick up and drop off for us, and with the amount of chaos going on in my house all the time it helps a great deal. There are plenty of other cleaners in Rye, I just seem to be very happy with this one, they never let me down.
