When I assured them that I had taken several tests and was not pregnant they continued to refuse to answer any of my questions. After requesting to speak to another doctor I was told no one else was there. So I hung up and made a telephone appointment with a different doctor for the next day only to be called and told by his nurse that he won't do a telephone appointment with me to discuss birth control and will only do an in office visit, despite my persistent reminders that I work during their available office hours. Extremely unprofessional, rude, I was being talked to rather loudly and it seemed very discriminatory. I was being accused of causing harm to a fetus that does not exist by asking about safe sex practices and options for my future. Avoid Dr. Lourdes S Pahuriray like the plague.

The studio is small and clean (only 4 students per class). I was the only dude in all the sessions. I worked with 3 different instructors (Maria,Monica, and Jen). All very knowledgeable and professional. They focus a lot on toning legs and butts. Its definitely a lot harder than it looks. Overall, the classes helped me increase my flexibility, strengthen my inner thighs, and tighten my butt. Keep up the good work, Body in Mind!

I initially thought we would be using the reformers but it turned out to be an intimate mat style Pilates class given my Nina. She started off telling us about the benefits of Pilates and how she got involved in it. She refers to her class as Bootylates and she is a walking advertisement that it works! I currently take Hot Pilates at another studio so I was familiar with most of the exercises we performed. What differed about this class is being that it is not in a hot room I really felt I could concentrate more on the actual exercise, my form and my breathing more so then I do in a Hot room where I know those things get compromised as fatigue from the heat sets in. This studio is on the smaller side, Nina had 12 mats set up for us and there were about nine of us in class. The class size max is also a bonus as Nina can check form and correct if needed. Although she didn't use the reformers they are in the studio along with some . And just this week I saw a Groupon for a one on one session for $50 which is quite the deal for this type of instruction. Drop in class rate is $20.

Savanna didn't have me listed as attending, even though I was confirmed as a guest visitor and had already signed the waiver. She told me I couldn't work out because I didn't arrive 15 minutes early--yet someone walked in after me and was allowed to join in on warming up and work out immediately. If this is truly about "safety," it should apply to everyone equally. The guest care was disappointing: it took her a few minutes to even greet me, there was no warmth or welcome, and no attempt to problem-solve or accommodate. The only solution offered was "someone will call you later." Why would I come back after being treated like that? This experience reflects poor customer service, lack of compassion, and weak front-desk management--especially for new guests. If the waiver is signed and you're confirmed, the rest shouldn't feel this messy or unfair. NOTE: I checked my email and a copy of the waiver I signed was there. Not sure how or why they didn't have it. FACT IS I still wasted the gas/electric and more importantly, my time! It's too bad because I was looking forward to trying something new. On my first day, I trained in their class (which kicked my flabby ass), and then sat with the trainer (who is also a nutritionist) to discuss healthy eating. The classes are awesome. There are various instructors, so it's easy to find the one(s) with whom you click, and they are SUPER supportive and motivating. The meal plans from the nutritionist are so easy to follow and they MAKE SENSE. At the end of the six weeks I was down 24 pounds. I kept up with their trainers, and...as of today (Dec 17, 2017) I am down a total of 32 pounds. A lot of people say that these "challenges" are scams, etc...but I am living proof that this is NOT TRUE. If you have any inkling that you want to take control of your health, these are the folks you want to meet. You won't be sorry...I promise!!
