This past weekend was my second time stopping by PBR because a few of my friends were in town visiting. I like the music at this bar but the staffs leave a lot to be desired. I purchased the first round of drinks for my friends and signed by receipts but did not tip on my card as I tend to just tip with cash when at a bar. Their drink literally has no alcohol in it. So I then purchased a second round of drinks and was surprised that the price was exactly the same even though I ordered one less drink. I just blew it off and was like whatever, it's just a few bucks. The next day I was checking my credit card purchases online and saw that PBR had charged me additional money to each of my charges from the day before! Are you kidding me?!? I signed those receipts as an agreement to pay the price that was stated on that receipt. I wasn't drunk and was very much aware of how much I was being charged on those receipts. And yet they had the audacity to charge additional money on my card without my consent. That's fucking illegal!!! read more

I attended the UYE this weekend at PBR and had a good time drinking, strutting my stuff in a cowboy hat and making a poor, poor attempt at riding the bull. The crowd was good. PBR Baltimore opened this weekend and was absolutely bumpin last night. Great music (a mix of country and pop hits mixed with rock classics) kept the energy up as groups of people made their way to the mechanical bull. Ex real life cowboys man the bulls and all eye go to them when they hop on to show the crowd how it's really done. Great service and good prices also make this a good choice for a fun night out dancing in downtown Baltimore. Cant wait to return again soon! read more

Best bar to go to on the weekend! Powerplant in general has gotten an awesome facelift in the last two years and has really changed for the best. Pbr is inside of Powerplant and is easily the most fun and packed of all the bars there, there's even an outdoor patio like area too if you just want some fresh air. The bartenders are super nice and serve up some delicious booze, the few times I've gotten bottle service, it's been great and everything is super reasonably priced! The buckle bunny crew (dancers) know their dances and interact with the crowd, watching people on the bull has also been more than entertaining. Overall great establishment and even though it can get wild sometimes, the wild is done tastefully. One of my favorite bars in Baltimore by far, and off course they play country music with a little mix of top 40, but mostly country ! Yeehawww read more

This is probably the best spot in Baltimore to celebrate any sort of event or even just a destination to meet up with friends and let loose for the weekend. My friend had won a happy hour for PBR and I had never been. We got there, and not knowing what to expect, I was not dissapointed! The bar staff was very friendly, not to mention very attractive. They have a mechanical bull! The music was great. Some of us were not into country music but the DJ was very good at mixing it up. I love this place! Service is amazing. The bar has a mechanical bull available to the public, always so much fun. The female bartenders are all bombshells, males are super attractive as well. They put on short shows throughout the night creating great entertainment. The dancers also line dance together on the floor in the beginning of the night and on the tables and stage area later in the night. If I could give below I would . Most disrespectful thing of this bar is they call themselves a country bar. Just moved from Texas and the middle of the dance floor they put a flip cup table. This happened while my girlfriend and I were dancing. I asked for a song and they shut it down for a city ass bachelorette strip show. This place was terrible. It was my first time going and will not be returning. I had a tab for 25 bucks and I left a 4 dollar tip. Then I check my bank account this morning and they ended up charging me 30 dollars instead of the 29 that I signed for. This place makes me feel old. Back in my party days, I would've probably loved this place. It's a nice perk to be able to walk between pbr and rock bar. A "Southern" Bar with little Southern Hospitality As a Texas girl, I was very excited to stumble upon this "country" bar. Initially I was at Angel's Rock Bar with some friends (not my scene but still a great time), and happened to walk into PBR. It looked like back home! It was pretty slow as it was early on a Thursday, but there was mechanical bull, country music (albeit pretty pop-y country mixed with top 40 hits), and LOTS of room to dance!!! A couple of girls who work there were dancing on the bar in assless chaps (yee-haw!) -(faces were 5-6 but abs were a 10!)- and I asked them if they knew any line dances. After a couple "Sure honey, whatevas," and really rude brushoffs I decided to make my way to the bar. The bartenders were moderately nice- drinks were strong and decently cheap. They didn't pay a lot of attention to me, but they weren't rude. I don't know what it would be like if it were super crowded, but overall it was a decent bar experience. The guys running the bull were pretty cool, I saw them helping all kinds of people (they took the time to help up every single girl from a small group, especially one pretty big girl, and even gave a guy a second chance when he fell off right away!) The DJ played my request for a line-dancing song (and even complimented my taste in music- He was probably just being polite but still- when does that ever happen?) and said he'd ask the girls there if they knew how to dance to it. I went up and asked the girls working to dance with me (who doesn't want to dance with some booty-shakin' girls?) and they stared at me like I was an alien. A group of assless chaps ended up staring at me and eventually kicking me out! Can you believe that? God, in Texas, all kinds of girls would have been dancing together, it wouldn't have been a competition at all! In short, pretty good scene, moderate drinks, okay bartenders, helpful bull engineers, and really bitchy girls (really not even good looking, minus their abs!). Those girls seriously disappointed, they were really obsessed with one another but not focused on their costumers having a good time at all! I visited the PBR in Baltimore on 23 March 2012 and was really impressed; AT FIRST... It was crowded but well organized and my brother and I waited in line a few minutes before we were " carded " ( I'm 49 but was flattered ) and then proceeded to the next location where you pay to enter ( credit card or bank card ) no cash on weekends we were told. Not an issue, as a matter of fact, being active duty military, I was admitted for free! We then went to the next line to go upstairs where the mechanical bull riding is conducted. It didn't take long and we went upstairs and watched everyone having a good time, I took a seat outside where they have a smoking section, not to smoke , but because it was a little quieter while my brother went in to give the bull riding experience a try. This is when the experience takes the harsh turn for the worse! See, I'm a Wounded Warrior from Fort Meade and have a service dog. Security approached me and asked for my animal's certification which I provided for him. He politely asked me if I would mind coming with him to speak to the District Manager Gabriel, which I agreed. At this time I was told my service animal is a " health code violation " and he had to leave the premises. I was told he could stay but only if I was blind! The nerve of an individual telling me that i haven't sacrificed enough for my country but that I have to surrender my eyesight in order to spend my money in this establishment. Again, i want to reiterate, he wasn't rude or unprofessional, but was definitely uneducated when it comes to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, (amended in 2008.) One of the first things he said was that this was private property, and I'm sure it is; however, any restaurant, bar, or other establishment serving food or drink though it may be a private entity are considered public accommodations if the operation of such entity affect commerce. My service dog and I departed without incident and I called my brother by cell phone and we had to end our festivities early. I would also like to add that my service canine has accompanied me to multiple hospital appointments, the super market, White Marsh Mall, Towson Town Mall , and several restaurants to include Blue Moon Cafe this morning! I hope Mr. Cordish isn't planning on treating Wounded and Injured military personnel like this at his new casino at Arundel Mills, our wounded and injured military members deserve better from the country we defend! As the military conflicts continue, military members are wounded daily and more are requiring service animals to cope with day to day activities. This is truly one of the best bars/nightclubs I've ever been to. The place is very well put together, the music is great, and they've got a mechanical bull that with a great team to operate and makes sure even on the busiest of nights everyone gets a chance to ride. The bartenders and quick and ready to serve, And the bar is good about cleaning up spills, I dropped a beer bottle and as soon as I told the DJ he had security and a bar back cleaning it up within seconds so nobody stepped on it. You can have fun with a huge sense of security since the bar is within its own gated off area. You can take your drinks outside to bar hop and they have a Patio that over looks the main stage for live bands, definitely a VIP feel. They really thought it all through. read more

So I braved the mean street (market place)of power plant live recently for a bachelorette party, I found myself here and it was truly an experience. I saw "barely legals, cowboy chaps with a hint of Victoria secrets "pink" collection shaking for the crowd on top of bars, I saw Sailors chasing skirts and a Mechanical bull with a rope above it. Before you get the wrong impression let me explain. This is a rock bar like it says in the description with a western theme. Now western isn't my style of music but hey I was there to support " my ride or die chick". I love the fact that PBR is a indoor outdoor club/bar/lounge, and with that you don't have to worry about suffocation from lack of oxygen. It's is also connected to another bar which is cool because if Bruce Springsteen isn't your cup of tea and Ke$ha is you have it all in one place. No need to leave EVERY! Smart move on the owners part. Now about that mechanical bull yeah they have one and if your willing to sit on it after a woman who clearly had three too many with her butt cheeks hanging out from under her Lil sister jean skirt then be my guess. All I could think of was "Somebody get the wet wipes"!!!!.... STAT. I also love that there are plenty of places to sit and they are so generous I heard the DJ say free shots numerous times during our evening of debauchery (snickering...insider). All in all it was a great time the bride to be had so much fun and she even rode the bull for all of 3.5 seconds. read more

Got a chance to check this one out the week after it opened my cousin was having a birthday and hear they had a bull so we decided to check it out. I am not big on country so I was very leery, but was pleasnatly surprised when I got there and the music was more pop than anything else. The place is locaed directly behind angels rockbar and you are pretty much paying for both places. Its got some size to it didn't go to the bar but there was a little stand to buy beer at. Around ten Oclock this place was packed. There was a line for the bull, but with most people only lasting about 3 seconds it moves pretty quickly I think we waited for about 15 minutes. All in all it has a good set up and its pretty much the non country contry bar. The Girls wear chaps which is a plus and its fun seeing people in there craziest cowboy outfits even though it isn't necessary. Have to go back and see what this place is like later in the summer. read more

One of our friends knew the DJ and suggested we go up to this place. It can be hard to find if you don't know your way around the powerplant. We went through Angels Rock bar to get in there. The draw is definitely the mechanical bull. One of the crew got on and she stayed on for a whole 7 seconds!!! lol It was hilarious!! Its free so its cool and makes for a good laugh. We just had beers in here so I don't know about their drink selections. We bounced back and forth between here and Angels. It was fun. They do mix the music up. Someone is always having a bachelorette party which makes for even more entertainment. I like that it is upstairs. You can go sit outside on the balcony and watch the people below. I do plan to bring some of my out of town friends here. It was a good time. It is set up just like a country saloon not a regular club. It was different and I like different!! read more

What started out as a fun night turned into a major disappointment. My friends and I attended the Kip Moore concert on Friday night. Upon entering we were approached to buy bottle service and get seating for the concert. Initially we declined and then decided that we would splurge. We approached the VIP guy and worked a deal for the service and he accepted the terms. After this he talked with the manager and the manager wouldn't accept and told us the deal was the deal he couldn't do any better on the price. We went ahead with it and had a great time for the first part of the concert. After the opening act the place started getting busy and we had several people pushing their way past the ropes and coming into the space. The security that was there tried to keep people out but the barriers weren't adequate and the crowd was not respectful. We also made an order for the rest of the alcohol provided in our package, waited 30 minutes and no delivery, approached security who referred us to the bar. We waited another 20 minutes and still no drinks. We asked for the manager to come and spoke with him about the lack of service, he agreed to comp the bottle and apologized. The server came out and apologized and tried to make things right, apparently she was doing double duty as a dancer and server that night. When the concert was over everyone disbanded but there was still no server, no check. We had to track someone down to ask for the check and upon presentation it was for the full amount with no comp. When we asked about this we were presented with the contract we were made to sign saying that we would pay a certain amount and no manager to be found. We were fed up at this point paid and left. I was super excited and looking forward to coming back for the Chase Rise and Jake Owen concerts but I will not. I'm super disappointed that a night of splurge and fun turned out to be so disappointing. If VIP service is sold then the customers should be treated like VIPs. read more

Do not come here if you like to be treated with respect. My friend and I (2 50 yr.old gentlemen) were thrown out 2 minutes after paying a 15$ cover each for leaning against a railing. That's right, we were looking over a rail for 1-2 minutes while we searched the lower level for our missing friend. A nasty, jerk bouncer ordered us away from the rail, when I reasonably asked what the problem was, we were ordered out without even a chance to explain ourselves. I have been hanging out in clubs 35 years and have never been so treated by staff in any establishment.. Charm city is filled with wonderful hospitable places to hang out and be treated right. I LOVED it. Went two times, and each time was amazing. It is fun, music is great, place is clean, dancers are wild, bull riding is hysterical, and just a perfect night out. DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!! My friends and I attended PBR last weekend. On a slower night when we were standing and talking a shot server bumped into the back of my girlfriend and her friend. The shot tray spilled all over them. She yelled at them and called them stupid for "getting in her way." But having watched it, it was completely the servers fault. She then got two bouncers to come over. They were extremely rude and threatening. They told we had to pay 50 dollars for the shots or they would have us arrested! I've heard from other people that this is a scam they run on slower nights! DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE! read more

This place is a disaster! Last Saturday was my first and last time ever attending this club. I was with a VIP party celebrating one of my best friends getting married. What should have been one of the best nights for her was ruined by the incompetent staff and aggressive security. As we were dancing and having good HARMLESS fun, one of the bouncers (who outweighed the bride by 100lbs) decided she was "too drunk" and accused her of falling...when she clearly did not. I witnessed him (and multiple other bouncers) making false accusations, being verbally abusive and using excessive force to get her out of the club. The security and police outside were not any better, and did not want to hear her side of the story. I had to take my hysterical friend away from the crowd and calm her down because of how badly she was mistreated. I will NEVER go back to this horrific excuse for a club. I actually can't stand country music... So I'm giving my review without judging the music since it's a country bar duh! It's pretty crowded.. While the rest of Baltimore is dead, so it could be good or bad for you.. I use to love clubs that were so packed! Now not so much.. But I have no trouble walking through.. The crowd isn't rough, or if somebody runs into me they normal say sorry or if I do it I say sorry and move on.. No fights over stupid stuff.. The bull riding is fun.. The guy in the bull ring to 'entertain' the girls seems cool always high energy which is hard to do all night.. I went Saturday and the girl in the bull ring, While pretty, I felt like she kept spending to much time on the bull.. Singing the songs thinking she's in a music video.. Think the club made her do that more then her, I don't know but I felt like the line for the bull can get long, I don't need to see you riding the bull for a song.. I wanna ride!! I love how they sell 40's... I don't know if the bartenders are nice.. They didn't really speak to me.. So they weren't rude or nice just doing their job.. They do play some top 40.. Not much. So I do Kinda wish they played like 40 mins country 20 mins top 40... And back and fourth. Only thing I didn't like the music is soooooo loud! Like I kept thinking I was standing by the speaker but wasn't.. So I'm happy I could hear it through the whole place but some spots I felt like ok I get it.. Me and my friends where yelling at each other lol.. So while I might not come back unless of course all my friends want too.. If you like country and bull riding def go!!
