Man, each time I've come here I've walked away joyously. The prices are incredibly fair and the service is incredibly fast. Vu is super nice and helpful, really more interested in giving you the service you need than the service most profitable. My 7-year-old MacBook now runs like new after he replaced the hard drive, gratefully saving all my files from a crash. And he finished it in three hours! The place is a bit scary to walk into; it looks like a technological graveyard, with antique machines sitting silent and dark, hardware entrails scattered about. But it's telling to me to see the long-dead zombies waking from their years of defunctitude, with their goliath towers and ancient green screens impossibly blinking back to life. Took my all in one computer to Vu. When I arrived (I just showed up I didn't call), Vu told me he normally does appointment only but offered to take a look at my computer since I was there. He's located inside the Pho restaurant now. He was quick. I was not expecting same day service! He wiped my computer because of a virus and reinstalled windows. It's now running like a champ. Great customer service, nice guy, great Pho too. Place your order when you pick up your computer. You won't regret it. read more

Vu owns a Pho restaurant and operates his PC expert out of a desk at the front door. He seemed knowledgeable about a dead mother board. His price was $425 to move my hard drive to a used HP pc windows 10. He gave me a used HP envy windows 8 which stopped my photoshop from working and my Microsoft WORD from working. I had windows 10. Since August 2023 we've pleaded with him to correct this situation and he has not responded. Best Buy is no longer recommending Vu at PC experts operating out of Pho restaurant. The computer heats up within 3 and a half minutes after turning it on. So hot that you cannot leave your hand near the mouse because the heat burns your hand. He has disabled the ability for me to run my business. We don't want any one else to be his victim. read more

I took my PC in as the on and off button was not always working... Vu did something to it as it no linger works correctly. Before it was working fine other than the on/off button. Now it is running really really slow and will not hold a connection to internet. Worse $200 ever spent. Will be taking the PC to another repair place to fix what he really messed up read more

I had decent experience the guy was nice but I brought in my high end rig he appraised me for building it myself and we wanted to know what was wrong I had done in inspection myself came to the conclusion it was the motherboard he came to that Sam conclusion. But he's charged 89 bucks for that I feel that is way too steep the store was also very cluttered anyone could just accidentally break your laptop but other then that it was alright unless this is your only option I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Don't know who to take your computer to? Well stop tinkering with it and take it to Vu. This guy knows his computers inside and out and can diagnose in under 10 minutes. I wasted two days fooling around with my computer unsure of what to do next. Before I got in over my head and really screwed it up, I decided to do the smart thing and take it to Vu. In just an hour and a half, Vu had it fixed and I was walking out with name brand parts, assurance that my hard drive was 100% healthy, and satisfaction in knowing that I had found a very reliable computer expert. I am from out of town and needed an emergency repair on my laptop. I called ahead to get an estimate, and Vu was honest about the amount and time. He also checked to see if they had the part (a DC adapter) in stock before I brought the laptop in. He called and said that while doing the repair, he noticed a preventative maintenance issue with a fan, it was a small amount for the part and labor, and he would repair some other small issues for free. I was extremely happy with the repair (total of just under $150) and my laptop is very clean and feels like new. Plus, Vu had the repair done in a few hours! I checked Yelp to find someone to fix my wife's laptop that would shut off on it's own before we were able to even enter our password. When I talked to Vu he told me he doesn't change for estimates and I was happy to hear that. So we took the laptop to him and left over night, he called mid afternoon the next day and had it running. Fast, friendly, quality service at an affordable price -- when other comparable shops said the task was impossible. Really, go here, you won't be sorry. My partner's ASUS tablet had a cracked screen, the repair of which was not covered under warranty (of course), and so ASUS wanted mucho bucks to fix it. I thought I could do better locally but three other computer/phone repair shops in the city said the replacement screen was impossible to find, and that even if they found it, parts and labor would add up to almost the price of a new tablet! I'm so glad I soldiered on and went to PC Expert: the staff there found the replacement part online in about 3 minutes, and had it ordered and installed in less than a week, for 1/3 the cost the other guys wanted to charge me. Based on a previous satisfactory repair, we brought our mom's computer here for repair. He diagnosed the problem for free, and the repair came in under the estimate. He even fixed another problem on a laptop we had with us. Great price, quick service, great personality. I heard about PC expert from my neighbor who has lived in Albuquerque for decades. Today, this is now the third computer from my house that I have brought in to have service door repaired. We keep coming back because I am just amazed at how fast I get an answer, how fast I get results, and how reasonable I feel the prices are. One of the computers I brought in a few months ago really was beyond repair and PC expert was able to sell me an upgraded amazingly upgraded refurbished computer for far less than it would've cost for me to repair The computer that I brought into them. I have now referred three more friends to bring their computer here and I will continue to tell anyone who listens that this is the best computer repair place around I also like how clearly the needed repairs are explain to me. I'm pretty sure I caused the problem with some bad RAM) My MacBook was randomly restarting so I called PC Experts to see what the cost of diagnosing the problem was. Turns out, they do free diagnostics without any hidden fees or charges! The guy at the counter was super friendly and got back to me within 24 hours with what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it! He even let me call back and think about whether or not I wanted to go through with it. I ended up having him fix it and he did just that, no "extra" problems, no surprise fees, he fixed what he needed to and it was done. He even said he cleaned out some dust inside the computer for me so it would run a little better! Great services and great company. Would highly recommend. read more

I got a particularlly ugly virus on my desk top on a Sunday. I freaked. It totally locked down my computer. I called my son who suggested calling PC Expert. I had a previous experience with these guys which had a good result so when I needed help, I went back. The result was catastrophic. They changed everything that I had spent weeks organizing, did a restore, without backing anything up, installed a version of Windows that I was unfamiliar with, and did something to the CD Rom drive to where it cannot read any of my installation CD's. Absolutely RUDE employees, don't seem knowledgeable at all on pc parts. We came in for your business, and whoever was working seemed to act like we didn't even exist. The employee "helped us" and just walked away like they had no interest answering any of our questions. We called ahead to see if you had a specific part to which the employee replied you did. While asking questions about it on the phone, the employee had no idea what they were talking about, or they were just too lazy to look at a box, and provide SIMPLE product information. We drove 45 minutes to only find out that the product you could have looked at(which was right next to your workstation mind you) only to find out that it's not what you said it was on the phone. But I guess I won't get a refund on my gas money. DON'T let this "business" fool you people. Find a better place, they just want your money and don't give a crap about you. The plastic screen on my HP came off and originally I took it to Best Buy and it took them two weeks to give me a quote on replacing the plastic screen. It took them another week to ship it back and for me to pick it up. I am a college student so I need my laptop for school. Then I looked and found PC Experts and took it in. Vu gave me a quote for free right on the spot and told me the things that had to be replaced, this was on a Thursday and I got my laptop back the next Monday. He rushed the orders and got it back to me right before school started up again. I will definitely be coming back if I need anymore computer work done.
