We are an unusual AllTek customer because we are a software development company, and we use the…read moreAllTek system to host a complicated Microsoft Access database application that manages student records for about 40 colleges and graduate schools. Our combined user base for those 40 schools is over 400 users. During peak usage periods, we have almost 100 simultaneous users logged into their various databases. What makes us unusual compared to most of AllTek's customers is that AllTek is providing only our software hosting. AllTek does not manage any of the computers or networks at the 40 sites where our software is used (over the internet). Some of our sites have fast computers with reliable internet connections and good onsite support, and some of our sites have sub-par equipment and support. Adding more complications, our customers use many versions of Windows and some Mac computers also. We converted our customer base to the AllTek hosting system during May 2018, and it was a huge, difficult change. We had to work through many unexpected problems that were caused by Microsoft Windows bugs, differences between Access 2010 and 2016, and differences between Windows Server 2008 and 2016. The last major problem got resolved roughly September 15, 2018, and the system has run smoothly since then. AllTek did a top quality job of supporting us through the transition. Their lead technician (and owner) Tim Haner did a great job of working with Robinsoft's programmers and customers to get the various issues figured out and resolved. My rating of AllTek's customer service, problem solving skills, and their system's speed and reliability is definitely five stars. AllTek gives us great customer support, their system is quite reliable with very little downtime, it is as fast as most of the other schools we support that have onsite servers, and we're happy with the prices we're paying.

It is now 6 months later after getting it, I had to return that. He says that it needed more memory because he's the expert I followed his advise and paid additional money. Then upon calling him to get an update, he states that it might be a hard drive issue. I didn't get the laptop back same day as promised. Then he explains that it's a driver issue the updates from HP are not compatible with the laptop. He was unable to tell me year and model of the laptop. However, he says he has a fix for it. I pick up the laptop and the graphics are horrible and look very outdated. This has been most inconvenient as I work from home. I have essentially lost 2+ work days and have an outdated computer. While booking…read moremy support ticket with Apple, Computer Advantage showed up as a Premier Partner so I decided to book that as the Apple system advised they would be handle most issues. Computer Advantage was easy to find as it's right on the main road. Walking in, the store is very nice and super clean. The tech came out and greeted me and my check-in was quick and simple. Even with the easy access and great service, my review ends there as Computer Advantage was unable to assist me with my tech issue due to the inability to obtain the Serial Number off of my watch. Though I was able to provide it to them, the "system" wouldn't allow access as it wasn't able to connect to the watch. I'm frustrated by this as my Apple ticket was because my watch wouldn't turn on and they still suggested Computer Advantage. To my dismay, my 27 minute, 17 mile journey was to no avail. However, the service provided by Computer Advantage was professional and appreciated... Now I'm back to booking an appointment at an ACTUAL Apple Store!!!
