This place sums up the definition of average. I bought my computer there about 18 months ago and I have been happy with it. I took my computer in for what I thought was a problem with a broken connection on the front of the computer that was causing the computer to not communicate with the monitor. I dropped it off Monday at 11 am, and he said, "we're really busy. It will be Wednesday, hopefully sooner, but I don't want to say tomorrow and then it ends up being Wednesday." No problem. I call Wednesday afternoon and they have not even looked at it and it will be Thursday before they can. I drove over their to beg and complain, and they said, "we have a first in first out policy." There were six computers on the work bench (mine was on the wall) and he checked their dates. You guessed it, they all came in after mine. He apologized, grabbed my computer and said, "I'll work on it right now and call you before we close." I'm glad I drove 5 miles so that I could point out the tags were two feet from his face. A few hours later, no phone call. I call them on Thursday for an update and I need a new motherboard. They will order it today, it will be there Tuesday and ready on Wednesday. Of course, had they looked at my computer in the order received, we could have had the part sooner. I wait until Wednesday (10 days so far) and get a call at 4 pm that it's ready. When I come in they joke, "the guy who calls everyday." Yes, that's me because you don't call your customers. I set it up the next day and a) no power cord and b) the front of the computer is still broken. I take it back on Thursday and they joke "we have tons of power cords" and tell me that they can't fix the front of the computer just hot glue it. I tell them, "well you could have at least told me that you couldn't fix it and you have a lot of power cords because you forget to give them to people." Friday (day 12) I can't access my files. One of my drives is not showing up. I call them and they look through the system online and asks me to bring it in. They look at it and he laughs to the other employee, "I didn't push the power connection in all the way." I'm not laughing. He tests the computer and he says, "crap, is this a mirror drive (or ghost drive)?" I said no, there are two drives, one for the operating system and one for files, they are separate drives. He says, are you sure? I tell him, you built it, what does the file say? After a little research he says, there is actually a third drive that is a back up drive for the files drive and your files are automatically backup on it. But, when I installed the motherboard I didn't know this so it's not mirroring anymore. The only way to get it to work is to back up the drive, wipe it clean, re-connect the drives and re-install the files. But, otherwise your computer is working fine. Well, it's not fine. I have a new motherboard, which they ordered and fixed. But otherwise 12 days, 10 phone calls, 4 visits and my computer is not operating they way it should. Complete headache. read more

I have used this place for many years. They used to be called "PC Club." They have always been very helpful during my builds. I have never had bad luck with anything I purchased and if you build PCs, you know bad luck strikes more often then not. Hardware conflicts, DOAs that lead to RMAs and waiting. Its a head ache. Plug and prey!!! In their defense... Cecil, RAID is not something you install. The mobo has it or it doesnt. Im guessing you didnt want to have to reboot your system and hoped having them set up the RAID the same would prevent having to do so? Windows 7? cant ghost windows 7 and Acronis is a flip of a coin? maybe? It happens. Save your important files and do a fresh install. Problem solve with nice new hardware! Should have kept the new mobo. To the guy that built a media tower. As far as up selling... Better tower with more airflow to keep your new hardware cooler and running longer? Hmmm, Thats un heard of! Shame on a sales guy trying to advise you on a smart move and trying to make a sale. The nerve! They have some nice towers that are actually at better prices than some of my favorite websites like newegg. My honest opinion on these guys is they really know what they are doing. They are a local shop and not a box store. Something I wish we had more of. Something this country needs a LOT more of. They are helpful, polite and like all of us, trying to make a living outside the box. The shop it self I wish was bigger with more of a selection. I think if enough of us supported the various mom and pop shops around town they would get bigger and have more variety. Also, supporting these shops and making friends with the people that run these shops can earn things that wont happen at the big box store like price negotiation. Simple favors like hardware testing. Maybe even a phone call about a special they have thats right up your ally because they remembered you. Guys, building PCs is like buying a car. Figure out your wants and needs. Do your homework, find a middle ground that fits your pocket and then give these guys a chance to build you a nice PC. You wont be disappointed. They have a website that has almost everything and good builds can take time. 5 stars to the locals trying to make the dream happen! read more

First off these guy are amateurs. Cost me 70 for a diagnostic for them to tel me there was nothing. Since I figured they were " accredited experts" I would order the parts and have these imbeciles do they build. That in-itself cost 100$ in-addition to the 70$ I spent for nothing. So I ordered the parts myself since these greedy people would probably overcharge me 200%. So they do the build, and low and behold, it's messed up. They "tell me" my power supply is busted so at this point I'm tired and don't give a crap so I say whatever replace. I get it back and AGAIN it's not working. The guy is acting like a complete nerd douche bag thinking he knows everything because he got some crappy "1 year pay your own degree" from devry. The problem was that it was MY mobo that had the problem, not his fault. When I got back and tinkered with the mobo, I found it was the pci-e slot the dummy was trying to put into the cpu plug. it was the idiot douchebag devry man's fault for using the wrong cpu pin. I plugged the correct one and instantly worked like a charm. My advice is go somewhere else where people are willing to help and not a bunch of uppity nerdy douchebags that must have been bullied in high school and take it out on people who earned there high end gaming rigs. ALL in ALL these guys sucks. I suggest the Geeks in Clovis if they are still in business. They guy there was friendly and fully explained to me what was wrong and what was best for my system. When my computer was freezing, I had a tech come out and tell me what the problem was; which, as it turned out, was RAM and the harddrive. I needed new RAM, and another harddrive in addition to the 500g drive I already had. My tech directed me to PC Station, as their RAM had never faltered for him. However, I checked around town first. Best Buy didn't even have the RAM I needed, and if they had, it would've been $20 more. They had harddrives, but for nearly $110! PC Station not only had RAM in abundance, and in many different fittings and sizes, but they had harddrives and graphics cards for way cheaper in price, AND better quality!! Got parts from them yesterday to work on my very fist build it your own computer. gave me parts, explainations and advice on the parts in the build i git at easypcbuilder.com, and told me price differences when switching out certain things. Also included all pros and cons. came back today to ask them for a little bit of help with the build because it wouldnt turn on. moved a few switches for me and didnt even try to charge me. tried to tip them and wouldnt take it. I went in today as I've been having issues with my processor being way too warm while idling, and even worse while doing any intensive work or playing games. Spoiler alert: the help they gave and the stuff I bought solved my problem. I have little useful knowledge of hardware - but thankfully these guys know their stuff. Dallas was super helpful; even though they were super busy with current orders, he spent a good 25 minutes talking to me about what the most likely issue was, inspecting the job I did re-applying thermal paste, and recommending a new cooler. I went here to buy a wireless N USB adapter. They had one for a great price with a good sized antenna on it which I was surprised to see. It was easy for me to install I didn't have to open up my computer, I just plugged it into the USB port and ran the CD that it came with. I am getting 5 bars on my wireless at home now with this instead of the 3 bars on my old wireless G adapter. It looks like they have a lot of other cool gadgets and PC related items in the store. The people there don't try to bs you with parts you don't need and they recommend you the correct items based on your needs. Overall, friendly environment and good attitude from the salespeople. The ONLY place to go for a custom-built gaming PC. Their policy on warranty is no joke, they get on ANY issue right away, including over-the-phone assistance WITH A HUMAN BEING.
