The reviews posted are both true. Bad and good. I do not write reviews but after my experience with PC Steve I think people should know what they are in for. I take no pleasure in criticizing a small business but here is what happened. In the past I brought two laptops to be serviced by Steve. He brought them up to speed and seemed like a stand up guy with his service. Stood behind his work. In June of this year 2023 one of my laptops would not power up. I left it with him over a long weekend to fix. When I picked it up he told me it seemed like a problem with the power button. He released the laptop to me and said to leave it in sleep mode rather than shutting it down. He told me for him to get a new power button would take some time. He would let me know when he would get one. I called him 4-5 weeks later to inquire how things looked. I was in no way irate rude, snide harsh at all . I trusted him and just called to follow up. He told me there no progress yet. I followed up with another call this week. Note: this is going on months later. He answered and told me he would call me right back. I ran a few errands and gave him a call. The call disconnected. I called back and the call would not go through. I thought my phone was the problem so I then used my wifes phone. Steve answered and before I could finish what I was saying I got a a busy signal. He HUNG UP on me both times and blocked my number is what happened. Ghosted. I wasn't rude demanding harsh accusatory or anything. Steven is a true computer professional. The big difference with Steven (for me) was that he really, really cares about fixing your computer and electronic equipment. He puts himself in "your spot" and works really hard to help you. If you need computer repair or help please call him. My computer was running slow, so I went to reset it an it wouldn't turn on until I arrived to Steven house I came 4/27/23 because I was so desperate thinking my computer wasn't going to turn on and I was going to lose all my pictures but when I arrived the computer turned on and everything was still on the pc. When I get to his house he reassured me, that he can recover it if that was the case so I ask him can he make the pc faster since it was already moving slow he told me of course I can do a tune up it would take some hours. After having the pc for 3 hours he reaches out to me To tell me I have a virus and ask me if I want him to back up the computer and basically make it new and that he wanted $20 bucks more or he can leave it the same and fix it like that and put a software to clear the virus so I told him to leave it the same because I didn't want any of my information removed I believe he is impatient and did exactly what he wanted to do and erased 20 years of memories off my pc I left my pc at 5:16pm 4/27/23 he had it over night he reaches out to me to let me know that the computer is ready 4/28/23 i pick up 12:10pm I check the computer it looks good until I came home around 2:47pm and seen that I couldn't access none of my pictures I called him 3 times the 1st time he tells me I didn't erase anything it probably on your one drive so I sign in and then I ask is there anyway I can bring in my computer he stated no because he's pretty booked So I called him back to tell him that the one drive still isn't bringing my pictures back and he still tells me to come in the morning I call him back and that's when he starts to ignore my calls mind you I am frustrated that I paid for a service and i didn't get the service I paid for DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS GUY HE IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL I RECEIVED HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM STEVEN TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE ITS NOT WORTH IT I went today 4/29 as he stated to come in the morning I arrive at his unit 7:49am since his business is from 7am-7pm he doesn't answer the door & my calls I stood there for 20 full mins he never answers or came to the door Went back at 10:19am still no answer to the door or my calls BEWARE OF THIS MENACE!! I will never trust an at home business again ! HES A SCAM I don't believe that he has the experience!! Went back again 11:55am no answer both phone& door He refuses to make things right I went to an expert today and they told me the job he did on my computer was basically STEAL MY INFO And reinstall windows when all he had to do to make it faster was clear the caches nothing with touching my personal files ALL I WANT IS MY DOCUMENTS that's on his drive !! read more

Coffee spilled on my laptop, and it was highly unlikely that it could be saved, but Steven worked quickly to fix the issue and clean it up, all for an extremely affordable rate. I'm an author and a graphic designer and was panic-stricken thinking of all the programs and fonts I'd have to reinstall. I found my laptop on Craigslist for $150 to replace another one that got zapped during a tornado storm, but I was willing to pay for a pricey fix over getting a new computer that would cost about the same. It's always a huge aggravation and headache to me to have to replace all the internal data that can't be recovered. Though it looked hopeless, Steven kept working on it and fixed it! Yay! I am so, so happy. Any other store would have charged me double, maybe triple, what he did. I dropped off my computer Sunday morning and got it back Monday night. Steven was great. I dropped my laptop and damaged the hard drive and needed my data off of it. I dropped off my laptop Friday afternoon and he was able to recover everything that I needed the day after. Very polite and knowledgeable man. Also, VERY affordable, especially since data recovery at other big companies can run up to thousands of dollars. He also doesn't charge if he isn't able to recover the data. I would recommend him to my friends. Tip: call him first and make an appointment! Since my laptop suffered a tiny drop, he was able to recover the data (it wasn't too badly mechanically damaged), but not all harddrives are recoverable depending on the extent of the damage. The great thing is that Steven will usually let you know within a day if he's able to fix it or not. read more
