I feel so fortunate to have found this little place! I came by last weekend in the afternoon, and apparently they were closed already but the man inside asked anyway what I was gonna need. I told him my key battery on my Toyota wasn't working anymore and he said it would take just 5 min....so guess what? He helped me out and fixed my key right away! I was in the need of a spare key for my garage (aka Surfboard Storage Center) so yesterday (02-28-2013) I began my search for a place to have a key made. I did not want to go out of my way so the place I was going to go to needed to be within my direct driving path. I remember a small key kiosk/booth on the corner of PCH & Artesia. I was not sure if this place only existed in my head, since I was driving in that direction anyway I figured I would soon find out. As I approached I could see the kiosk/booth right where I expected it to be. This kiosk/booth is probably the size of a closet but it is in prime real-estate. This kiosk/booth facing northbound traffic on PCH and if you ever need a key made all you would have to do is drive up, have your key made and be on your way. This little kiosk/booth offers drive thru service as well, so if you didn't want to get out of your vehicle you wouldn't have to. I arrived and told the gentleman working the kiosk that I needed a key made. The gentleman took my key and got to work. As I waited I checked out the list of services this kiosk offered and the prices. I was pleased to see that this kiosk offers pairing to the remotes for your vehicle for a price of $10.00 - $15.00 which is quite a deal. The gentleman in the kiosk made a perfect copy of the key I provided him within maybe 1-2 minutes and I was on my way. If and when I need another key made I will always come here. If you live in the South Bay this kiosk/booth is located directly across the street from Hotel Hermosa & Spyder Surf shop. There is plenty of parking and as stated above this kiosk/booth even offers drive-thru service=) read more

Excellent service. Had to have my 2009 Corolla's key duplicated. With an internal microchip, it needed a professional to perform the task. Key was duplicated quickly and for a modest price ($87.60). Drive-up access and convenient for both Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. Only difficulty is that he's hard of hearing which makes phone conversations difficult. Recommend showing up in person to get keys made and duplicated. He also has the ability to access the car manufacturer's data in order to make a key although at increased cost. read more

My Toyota car key snapped on the plastic and the metal key itself wouldn't stay in the case (couldn't start my car without holding them together with both hands) so I went to them to have them copy it to another key. Suddenly, our keys no longer worked on our front door. I called a bunch of locksmiths before I got to PCH Lock & Key Shop. They all offered the standard $50-90 service call fee to inspect what may be wrong except PCH Lock & Key first advised me to simply try some WD40 in the keyhole to see if that fixed the issue thus avoiding a pricey service call altogether. Luckily, the WD40 did the trick! My lock is back in working order and I didn't have to pay a dime! PCH Lock & Key was the ONLY place to offer this sound and free advice before recommending a service call. Clearly this place is not about ripping customers off as he encouraged me to try this free option before committing to a pricey service fee. He's got my business for life now! read more

He said he had numerous key fobs done, and programmed here. I looked this place up on yelp. I would not have picked it myself, after reading a couple of reviews, but I called and spoke to person there.He gave me a price. A very good price. I immediatly went over there.
