The wife and I are in the middle of a big house remodel, workers coming in/out all the time. To keep out cats out of the way, we put them in a bedroom. So as I am shutting the door, I accidentally hit the inside lock button as the door shuts. Try try try to re-open it to no avail. Even one of the construction guys tries to help, and doesn't work. It turns out the bedroom door knob was put on half backwards so the emergency door opening hole was on the wrong side from where the door lock button was. Maybe I could have gotten a better deal and better service than with Bay Alarm or ADT but I won't know because I don't deal with companies that charge for estimates on something as simple as a burglar alarm, and neither should you. Edit: I don't appreciate being stereotyped as a "price shopper demographic." I prefer to contract with small businesses that have good reputations. You were the first call I made. I had gone into the store over a month ago to have some duplicate keys made. The person wasn't didn't really pay attention to what I wanted and asked for and started making keys without me handing him the keys I wanted as I want decorative keys. Since I needed extra keys I told him I was fine with it. He then quoted me the wrong price for the keys as well. Someone else came in that seemed a little bit more knowledge full of everything and I was looking to replace some locks on my sliding glass store and other doors. I made an appointment they said they were going to come look at the house that they would be a fee to come to the house but the fee would be applied for work done. Long story short they never showed. I wanted to give them a week or two because I figured I know things come up but the fact that they have still never reached out to me I wanted to post a review as I would not go with this business. Trust me when I say that the work they do is fantastic. My three star is for the price. I ended paying over $400 for two door locks and a mailbox lock. I told the the guy on the phone that we needed to a mailbox lock when we scheduled the appt. When he came he didn't have it so he had to come back out again and charged another service fee.
