PCwhoop W O W! PCwhoop replaced a butterfly keyboard on an old Macbook, no one else in the city would do the repair as it is very difficult to do successfully. PCwhoop repaired it with ease and elegance and fast. They are the best electronics place in the city! We have brought all our other computer repairs there ever since and have bought electronic parts as well for a great price. I needed to get a new keyboard for my laptop. I was told it would take 6 weeks to arrive. When the keyboard arrived, it was the wrong one. A 2nd keyboard was ordered and 6 weeks later it arrived. It was also the wrong keyboard. The last time I dropped off the laptop it was returned to me with both the keyboard and the fan not attached - so I had to return again. I spoke with one of the managers and he was very apologetic, and said this was unacceptable and he would talk to the technicians about it. Short story - nice people and staff, but this experience makes me wonder whether I would ever do business with them again. It is at this point unlikely. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my laptop to them to fix TWICE, and the second time was to fix what they messed up in the first place, including stripping the screws that keep the laptop together. And not only did they give me back a broken laptop still, but they gave me back the wrong charger with it AND they still charged me the full price for nothing! Quoting nonrefundable. Smh I am very disappointed in this place. Brand new to EDM, my laptop AC adapter (aka my lifeline) conked out suddenly, and after some freaking out and furious searching while my battery ran down, I rushed myself to this place right quick. They had the right kind in stock (relief), it worked, and $10 bucks later my life was back on track. They were quick, friendly, and had what I needed. What more could you ask for? The second time I did the repairs in this store, my Apple macbook got coffee spilled onto the keyboard and the screen didn't light up after I restart it, and the next day I took the computer to their store, they helped me in time and changed the keyboard and trackpad, but wait a little longer for the parts in. The charge is still reasonable,so still recommend it. read more

Unfortunately no zero star to give this horrible business. They first charge 45+ gst before touching your PC. I paid it then asked me to call after a week. When I called the guy told me they didn't check it yet and asked me to call next day. Next he said he will check it at the end of that day. They told me MAYBE charge input jack is not working. I came and collect my laptop. After getting home I realized that the charger was missing. I called the shop and he said first they can't find it then he found it. It will take 19 Km 25 mints driving there. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Unprofessional staff. read more

I thought the battery was toast on my 7 year old laptop and phoned to see if they by chance had a replacement, which they did, however upon inspection and asking questions found out it wasn't the battery but something else. They diagnosed the problem, the motherboard was fried, and fixed it. I am ecstatic beyond words as I had pictures and other things that I would have lost forever. They were polite, extremely knowledgeable and fixed the computer on time and in line with the amount they quoted. read more

Just an update, it turns out that the new battery ordered doesn't work because there is an underlying motherboard issue with the charging circuit. Motherboard problems are difficult to fix and it's not profitable. Computer techs still have mouths to feed. However, I can still use my laptop without the battery. I still recommend this place because I had speedy and great service here, the staff are friendly and will be honest to you. The senior computer tech also took the time to explain everything to me. read more

I have had my iMac and Ibook repaired by PCwhoop and I am extremely satisfied with their work. They were fast, friendly and reasonably priced. I use my computers for work and I told them I need the work done as quickly as possibly. They came thru everytime with same or next day service. I would definitely recommend them. read more

The hard drive on one of my Bell pvr conked out, and I phoned these guys up and asked could they fix it. On the phone, they said ya, sure, bring it in. I took it to their shop on Calgary Trail, and left it with them. A few days later they called to say it was a unique hard drive and they weren't able to do anything with it. They charged me $75. I brought the pvr back home, opened it up, and had a look at this unique hard drive. Then I Googled up the part number, found it on Amazon, and ordered one up. It cost me about $50. plus shipping. When it arrived, I swapped it with the dead one in the receiver, and with a little help from a Youtube video, my receiver is as good as new. Very disappointed in this kind of service; needless to say I won't be using this company again. read more

I hate leaving lukewarm reviews but I probably won't be returning to PC whoop. Some of the staff members are really nice but others not so much. I dropped my macbook here to get fixed and they told me they needed to install a new keyboard and suggested I get a new hair drive as well. Since I haven't had issues with the hard drive I decided just to get the keyboard fixed. Fast forward to a month and a half later( I was out of the country) they still did not do any repairs on my laptop. Apparently they forgot to since they wanted to wait to see if I will change my mind on the hard drive. When I said no again they said they were still waiting for the keyboard since they didn't have it in stock. The guy was rude about it and didn't seem apologetic. Even suggested that at the same price they would find a old keyboard to install so I can finally get it back. No one should wait 2 months for a new keyboard. Also when I picked it up it had dust all over it and they didn't even bother to wipe the screen down. Any place for repairs actually puts a little more effort than that. Hope they will work out the kinks at this place. read more

Whooop there it is, Whooop there it is, LOL, my friend has Imac 2013 27 cracked glass (ask me to replace for her) , I was going online to purchase the glass and lcd online ( they are around $435 US) , seen you cant get the glass by itself unless you have an older thick Imac, but the Canadian dollars exchange rate it is to crappy these day, I decided to search on Kijiji just to see whatup,never been to PCwhoop, so I email them about the situation just to see what their respond was (knowing full well the cheapest is I will replace the glass myself) to my surprise the they they quote me $200 pls taxes ..hmmm they also mention they have one in stock so I better hurry. my respond was I will there first thing in the morning, there respond was Ohhh the glass come from our depot it doesn't get here till noon or so. ok i still want it.. I waited, late in the next day I got a respond the glass hasn't arrived yet, I said Im still in for $200 let me know when will it get here 2 days goes by, I wrote what the status on my replacement glasses? no respond till late in the day " Ohhh the glass came yesterday but it was a thick one from our supplier? notice it no longer Depot but supplier.. it has been 4 days passing, on the fifth days "Oh we know that you are looking for the thin model glass but the supplier keeps on insisting that the glass they send will work" notice it now a blame games..LOL.. lastly "if you came down for other services mention MARCO you will get a 10% discount) LOL. honestly the person that took my order thought I have a thick Imac which the glass can be purchase on ebay around $75, quote me for $200 take about 20 mins work state PCwoop. LOL I can replace that in about 30 seconds it called suction cups hahaha, you can tell they are not a place to get your pc fix over prices..honestly any JOE can watch youtube and fix their PC these days.
