I came to Lens Crafter located inside the Northshore mall for a second opinion for my daughter's prescription lens. Dr. Bruce Vu was fantastic with my 5 year old daughter and managed to prescribe the appropriate lens for her eye glasses. He was patient and answered all of my concerns. Meg and Dede were both so welcoming and it made our visit that much easier. The process for the eye exam and purchasing the frame with lens was a seamless experience for us. It was very clean and there was a variety of selection for the frames. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vu to anyone who is looking for a dedicated and experienced optometrist. Rude people that work there. They complained to me how short staffed ether are and won't be able to help. Called next day. Same thing can't help you today. After making complaints about the unnecessary $39 dollar charge someone reached out to me and asked for my insurance, now they are going to commit insurance fraud because they cannot charge my insurance when they did not dilate my eye first, they went straight to the retinol image, I spoke to many doctors and they are supposed to dilate your eye and if there is a finding in the eye then they will do a retinol image and insurance will Cover it. In my case the reason for the image was so the doctor didn't have to touch my eye, it specifically stated that on an email. I'm upset that they are charging $39 when I pay for insurance all year round. NO!! This has to stop!!!! And this Covid excuse is over!! Getting old!! read more

Front desk was extremely unprofessional. They were talking to their friend and that persons boyfriend about a Halloween party . Wasn't knowledgeable. Make you so a retina test that isn't covered by insurance , most places ask if you want it , they just do it . The eye doctor had a very thick accent , very hard to understand and not sure if was her accent but everything she said she seemed like she was guessing on what she should Say . Unprofessional office manager, too many billing issues work for a major company with high level insurance with Federal Blue Cross Blue Shields and Davis vision been coming here for over two years. Arrived for an appointment with text message in hand that we had appointment to be told it was cancelled because they have not received payment in years and this is the first we have heard of it no certified letters or calls. How you mess up Childs address from everyone else with federal Id is amazing. Even if one address was wrong entered by your office incorrectly the other address where correct and no letter certified like a professional office would do with such issue was received , nor emails or calls on record. I had to do their job for them even thou insurance said they had to call and get check numbers of group payments mailed to their Natick office and mall location. even after all the run around and told was good they cancelled appointment the day of even with text message saying I was good day of. so kid going back to marines without civilian visit completed while on leave. I would not recommend this office poor trained staff, and probably low wages to accommodate to low quality worker not returning to lens crafters or this office we will take our 2500 USD glass purchases annually else where. read more

I've been a patient at this practice for about five years now, and I highly recommend them. They have a high level of professionalism and customer service, and they are conveniently located. My favorite thing is an eye scanner they have that means they don't have to dilate my pupils. I spent years avoiding eye exams before I found out about that. read more

I would not recommend this office the front desk staff (who are the first point of contact) are young immature very unprofessional young ladies. I had a question about a fee that I was being told was "mandatory" but not covered by insurance for my minor child made no sense! Well apparently they dont like anyone to ask questions they just want you to pay the fee. She was so annoyed with me never let me finish my statement while I let her repeat the same 2 sentences over and over. Clearly she didnt know the answer and couldn't be bothered to explain and or answer questions. Don't waste your time or money going here! This is not a review of the doctor but the front desk staff. Terrible-I arrived at 1:23 for a 1:30 appt so we could do paperwork/insurance, etc. Apparently they were at lunch till1:30. Arrived at 1:30 and was told the "system " was down so that they couldn't check my insurance and that I would be charged my co-payment and additional mandatory $39 for a retina scan-this visit is only for a glasses prescription. Then the front desk staff proceeded to take two phone calls and at 1:40 had the nerve to tell me that I needed to make up my mind about the exam because we needed to get started....excuse me? You ignore me for 10 minutes, can't check my insurance, are forcing me to pay for additional services and it's my fault we are getting started late? This is terrible customer service and since I have been seen there in the past, I came back because the doctors are very nice, but the front desk staff is awful-won't be going back....ever. read more

I don't know what all these low reviews are talking about, maybe they changed staff recently? My wife had a great experience there and she's hard to please lol. From the phone call to check if they took our insurance, to the appointment, to the trying on contacts and all that, she had a great experience! The doc helped her do what she needed to do and got her trained in like 5 mins with a very accurate prescription (or so she says). Great place imo. read more

I was calling around trying to find an eye doctor that was open after 5 o'clock and after calling like 10 places I spoke with a nice lady from Peabody eye associates. They were able to book me an appointment within the week and at 630 at night which is the only time I could make it with the hours I work. When I got there the staff was friendly, there was a limited wait time, the dr. was professional and the prices were totally reasonable. They always have my contact prescription in stock and from now on I will only be going to Peabody eye associates for my optometry needs! read more

One girl was texting on her phone with her legs up. 1st of all having your phone out in a medical office is a hippa violation because nobody knows if their are photos being taken. So that's a big no! Worst 'medical professionals' I have ever dealt with. Have been going there for a few years and EVERY TIME I order contacts I have an issue. If I could rate 0 stars I would. They charge my insurance for a 6 month supply and then I only receive a 3 month supply EVERY SINGLE TIME I have to reorder. I have been calling for over a month to try to reorder contact lenses, left voicemails with my name and phone # asking for a call back. They never returned my call. Finally got someone to answer the phone and they told me that they cannot place an order for my contacts because my prescription expires in a month. Explained to the receptionist that I have been trying to call and asked if they even check their voicemails because I had left messages? She said that their voicemail system has been acting up and they have called to try to have it fixed and reiterated their business hours. Explained to her that I had been calling within their business hours and never got an answer asked how long their voicemail system hasn't been working she said a couple weeks. Explained to her that I have been calling for over a month and they should have gotten my voicemail and returned my call and that there has to be something that they can do considering we are still in the middle of a pandemic- they were closed for 4 months and I have been trying to call for a month since they reopened. She apologized and said their is nothing they can do that I should have ordered my contacts online stated she could extend the prescription for my glasses and I could order new glasses but not for my contact lenses (I don't need new glasses so that 'recommendation' was not helpful whatsoever). Explained to her that I had tried to order them online but that their website doesn't allow me to input my eye med insurance info in order to use my benefits towards the cost. Her response was- "well you should have ordered them from a different practice then, we allow that." Definitely the final straw dealing with them. I had avoided opticians like Lenscrafters due to the unwarranted assumption that being inexpensive they were not competent. I was totally wrong! As I noted to Shannon, and to Dr. Miller - the folks who worked with me - their services were faster, more complete, and provided me with much more information than my previous optician. Also, the eyeglasses I purchased were half the price of my previous glasses - $326 from Peabody Eye Assoc., as opposed to over $600 from the previous optician. The best? My new glasses work perfectly, especially the bifocals! In fact, the bifocals work better than my $600 glasses bifocals. In other words, I was a stupid lady. I wasted money and time (old glasses took 2 weeks to complete, new glasses took about an hour). The customer service was superb. Everyone - including the young ladies behind the admin desk, were attentive and responsive. I have no idea why Janice C. had such a problem - and by the way, HIPPA regs do not apply to the walk-in optician in a mall. In any event, no one texted through my check-in, each admin did her job, and when one of the girl's computer went down, they all helped her get through her work. So - half the price, a tenth of the time, and 10X the customer service. read more

Used Lenscrafters website to schedule an eye exam here when my 2 year old glasses were accidentally broken. Upon arrival, receptionist acknowledged that I had vision insurance but refused to acknowledge that there was no co-pay; then asked for upfront payment (as if I didn't have insurance). When I asked to speak to the manager, receptionist told me there was none; then proceeded to attend to another customer walking in. A few minutes later, when I asked receptionist if she could get help from their sister offices (Burlington and Needham were on the business cards), I was told no. When I asked if I should call those sister offices, I was told to leave. Ended up going to another Lenscrafters (unaffiliated with this optometrist practice). Other place took me right in with no issues confirming my insurance and no-copay. read more

Don't go here unless you want to lose a few brain cells in the process...the "receptionists" here are so unprofessional it's almost comical. They have ZERO customer service skills and can't be bothered by patients. They always have their phones out and look like they're more interested in fake eyelashes and hair extensions than the medical field. I went here in the past because I needed contacts ASAP and they were able to do that. The actual doctor is ok but I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here. They also don't communicate with their other terrible coworkers. They told me I couldn't get contacts because my prescription was expiring and needed to come in for another eye exam...my insurance covers 1 every 2 years, just as usual. I then got a phone call telling me the exact OPPOSITE of what one girl told me. When I went in the next day to get the contacts they PROMISED I could get, I was told, "no but maybe I can give you a trial pair." When she handed them to me she said in a monotoned voice, "here." And sat back down to scroll on her phone. Really?! I asked for a copy of my prescription and got my contacts ELSEWHERE. Beware, they tell you that you need an exam to get money and patients, but be sure to check with your insurance company first. This place and the workers are a serious joke. Such a shame. read more

Horrible business. Arrived 5 minutes early for my 4:15 appointment today only to be told that my appointment was cancelled because they have a policy that requires you there 15 minutes prior to your appointment. I received 3 reminder text messages and a reminder phone call 24 hrs before and none mentioned this phantom policy. The Dr. was Holly Golebiowski. She refused to speak to me and allowed her 18 year old receptionist to take the heat. Clearly one year from graduating Miss Golebiowski has no clue how to run a business. Peabody Eye she would be wise to fire her. Coincidentally, another patient was told they did not have her prescription on file because she did not show up for her contact lens checkin. The woman had the dates she was there and even produced the receipt from the visit. Clearly these folks can't run a business. read more
