Ok! First off we want to truly from the bottom top and sides of our heart THANK this incredible Michelle for helping us DISCOVER a way back on the family track!!!!! Our work and PLAY as a parent is never done as we AND our children change/grow!!!! When Sam turned 10 who acts like he's going on 17, I realized my yelling was increasing and electronic distractions were taking over!!!! I noticed everything like "REACTIONS" were intensifying!!! My dear friend, Nicole, told me about this amazing person Michelle Carlson who practiced connecting parenting and ways to improve ones quality family life! A 6 week commitment to learn the principles while digging and chipping away at finding what was working and what wasn't was the requirement or really just committing for 6 weeks!!! My husband agreed to go with me even though he felt initially everything was "fine" and these challenges were just normal things all parents go through with their kids!!! True, BUT I knew I needed real tools to HELP and Luckily we got them!!!!!!! Michelle Carlson is a beautiful honest REAL easy to open up to non judgmental mom who truly does have the keys to unlock numerous issues with 6 easy to follow principles!!! Having children was a two year process, eventually opting for IVF. My husband and I desperately wanted children, and we were fortunate to welcome twins into our lives! We both felt so incredibly happy, grateful, & blessed to finally become parents. Our kids are now 6, one boy and one girl. My husband and I lost our way when the kids were 4 years old. Both kids began to tantrum all the time, they were fighting with one another, and the anxiety around this all became too much. One day our daughter began to scream, push, and throw, and I knew we needed help!! Thankfully Michelle was there to listen. I called her and I told her what was happening, she gave very specific and sound advice. She told me to stay and listen the whole way through my daughters tantrum. She also told me to ultimately keep her safe so she doesn't hurt me or herself, and to again, stay & listen. This was not easy! I truly questioned if this could work. I sat on the floor and calmly but quietly told my daughter that I'm here and I love her. I then let her have her tantrum as I looked at her. She started the tantrum avoiding eye contact, crying hysterically, and telling me she hates me. This was so painful to watch, but I knew I had to stay. After a very long 40 minutes she stopped, calmed down, sat on my lap and hugged me. The next tantrum lasted half the time and within a month, the tantrums were a few minutes long. Michelle gave me the tools, the support, and the guidance to believe I could do this. Michelle taught me how to connect with my children on a level that will speak to them throughout there lives.
