At Long Last - Creme brulee French toast with strawberries

There are certain things by which I judge a restaurant's suitability for me. One thing I look for…read morein a breakfast/lunch eatery is their bisquets and gravy. Another is their home fries. At Long Last knocked booth of those out of the park. The best c&b I can ever recall eating, and excellent home fries. The fries were unique to my experience. They were a generous portion of small potatoes, sliced and fried to perfection. My companions decided upon breakfast sandwiches. A ham and cheese bagel for one lady and a steak and cheese bagel for the other. Both came with scrambled eggs on the sandwich, and one lady had peppers and onions (steak) on hers. Both proclaimed their fare to be excellent. Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The staff members were very helpful. The foʻd came quickly and was served piping hot. You'll be pleased with the open layout and total cleanliness of this restaurant. If it's brunch for you, an assortment of stylized coffees and alcoholic beverages are available. The menu is e x t e n s i v e! You'll find what you want and enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. The prices are average for the area. There are many places to dine in the Skaneateles/Auburn area, but I'm eating here. Enjoy!

The Dubai chocolate latte had a wonderful pistachio flavor to it. There wasn't as much cream/ foam as most lattes that I've had, but it was still tasty. The avocado toast was a lot larger/ filling than I thought it would be. The balsamic drizzle was perfect on it and the bread was excellent. We loved the flavor of the gravy on the biscuits and gravy. Again, generous portion and the biscuits were nice and flaky. The Dutch Apple French toast was a great recommendation from the bar tender. I love the cinnamon in the bread and it was all not too sweet... definitely did not need the optional maple syrup. The ambience is fresh and light and the service was pleasant. Would love to return!

When my family entered the restaurant, we immediately like the rustic country decor. We were immediately greeted by a woman who confirmed our reservations and showed us to our table. The restaurant was quickly filling up and it took a few moments for a server to come to our table. After about 15-20 minutes it seemed like the staff got it going and food was coming out to tables and customers that ordered the Mother's Day brunch were getting their food quickly. My kids ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. One with game and one with sausage. My daughter is very picky with her pancakes and ate them all. I had the brunch. I had eggs Benedict, spinach omelette, ham and cheese omelette, bacon, fresh fruit, and two croissants. The food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to stopping by again.

Inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and the perfect breakfast to kick off a Sunday morning. The food was delicious - scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection, the bacon tasted super fresh, and the chai tea was so tasty. Can't wait to visit again and try other menu items, including sandwiches off their lunch menu. Definitely recommend this spot! I bet it does get really busy during the summer months when people are visiting Sylvan Beach and Verona Beach.

The dining room was spacious and clean and bright as were the servers and the bartenders who expertly served us. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 that varies each day so on this Thursday was half price on selected appetizers as well as $2.50 domestic select drafts. We got there about 10 after five and the bar quickly filled up, which seemed to be regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to linger a little bit over our first drinks and ordered deep fried cheese curds with a delicious margarita type tomato sauce. I had never had fried cheese curds and they were plentiful and came out steaming hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were hungry and dove right in. When it was time for our second drink, I pondered over their wine list, but decided that with my Reuben and mac & cheese dinner a cold draft would suffice. My husband ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich and onion rings. The mac & cheese and the onion rings were up charges of $2.50 and they were worth it. The cheesesteak sandwich was not shaved beef, but wonderfully thick pieces of beef on a perfectly toasted bun type with cheese and peppers. The onion rings were generous as well as crisp and not overly breaded. My Reuben was perfectly toasted on a delicious rye bread with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy. The star was their mac & cheese served in a steaming hot crock! It was creamy, not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to know that you were digging into a delicious bite of mac & cheese.. well done kitchen! All in all the meal was so large we could only eat half of it and brought it home for another day. We would certainly return as we enjoyed every bit of our evening. The patio looked invited and will be opening soon. They also have live entertainment to enjoy.

Probably because I'm not a snowmobiler, and this place had more sleds than cars parked. Had the special Philly Cheesesteak in a bread bowl and wasn't disappointed. If you're a snowmobiler or not looking for some comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere stop by "The Reef"!

Nassau is one of the many little towns in our region that was completely devastated midway through…read morethe last century after the trolley system shut down and city people suddenly had no reason (or no way, if they didn't own a car) to stop by. It's pretty cool, then, to see new little spots like Daisy's popping up right after the new bike and pedestrian trail built over the old trolley line opened. Coincidence? Maybe! But if you're passing through rural Rensselaer county on your bike and feeling a little peckish, then Daisy's is an excellent new breakfast and lunch option just a short distance off the trail. Daisy's is brand new, so there are still kinks to work out -- our lovely waitress was struggling with her fancy electronic ordering machine, and there was a lot of confused running around in the kitchen. The food, though, was absolutely solid. My mom was a bit skeptical about the price of her BLT before she ordered, but took it back once she received her gigantic sandwich made with perfectly fresh ingredients and served with a mound of some of the tastiest Mac salad that either of us had ever had (plus a bag of chips!). My cup of the soup of the day was hot and flavorful (if slightly over over salted). The weakest link in the whole meal was the oddly soft hard roll for my breakfast sandwich: I'd ask for it toasted next time. Daisy's also serves local Tierra Farms coffee, which is a nice touch, and there were some really nice-looking treats in the pastry case. Overall this is a super cute little place that does a pretty good job of hitting the sweet spot between an old-fashioned small-town diner and a more modern cafe (with plans to add more vegetarian/vegan options to the menu). I'll absolutely come back, and I hope that places like this continue to open up and thrive in small communities around the region.
