Recently she wanted to come in to get her lashes done before a big birthday bash with friends. Since I wear the pants in the relationship, I let her know that I wasn't going to go with her, because guys don't go to lash bars! So when I got to the Lashbar, my first impression is that the salon is bright and inviting with a posh look. Everything looks clean and sanitary. I proceeded to sit in the boyfriend waiting room which most people call 'the lobby' a.k.a. 'entrance', where there was a nice, plush sofa ready for me to ponder life and the significance of the significant other. As I waited, the nice owner offered me their signature champagne even though I wasn't in there for long. I'm not a big champagne guy, but I tasted it and it was actually pretty good! As we conversed, the owner went on to tell me that this franchise has multiple locations in San Diego where it originated and is well known for their quality and service. Well, they backed their claims because afterwards my girlfriend said the technicians make sure to go the full mile to see that you are satisfied with your look and final lashes. Also very attentive and make sure you are comfortable while getting treated. You know how "particular" our sweet, loving, amazing wife/girlfriend/family can be when it comes to how they look before a big occasion. But my girlfriend really liked how her lashes turned out and I can tell they make her pretty happy. Who knew that lash extensions could really make someone's day? Wish I could get my lashes done too! There was no one at the front desk. There was a girl doing someone else's eyelashes. I asked her for Sabrina and she said she should be right back. I sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes with no Sabrina showing up or anyone coming by for that matter. I went back to the original girl who was still doing lashes and asked if she knew if Sabrina was here that day. She was very vague and said something about Sabrina texting her at 2:18 and told me that Sabrina said I can text her and provided Sabrina's phone number and said she said she was with her own client and waked away (which I completely understand because she wasn't the receptionist and was being interrupted doing her own work.) I text the phone number I was provided (at this point 20 min post appt time). The girl Sabrina text me back and said that she left because she thought I was a no show and charged me a no show fee. When I told her what time I walked in, she said she thought my appointment was at 2:00 pm even though I had multiple confirmations through the square app confirming my appt that was scheduled at 2:15. Not only that but I was charged $70 for a service I did not get that she claims will come off. It was very unprofessional and the whole experience at this salon was very strange. I had been to many beauty salons with individuals renting chairs/rooms but never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. Such a waste of time and for the girl Sabrina not to even contact me before leaving BEFORE my appt time. . I hope I won't have to dispute the charge with my credit card company and that it actually gets refunded. Overall a very dissapinting experience and I will not be back.

During my entire Brazilian wax, Melissa did not wear gloves at any point. I also personally observed her reuse applicator sticks by placing them back into the wax after they had already made contact with my skin. She also wiped the area from back to front during the service. There was no cleansing or skin preparation before she began waxing. The waxing technique itself was also disappointing. Several areas were waxed repeatedly because the hair was not being removed adequately, which made the service much more uncomfortable than necessary. Despite the repeated passes, I still left with visible hair remaining in both my Brazilian area and underarms. I have had Brazilian waxes before, so I understand that techniques can vary between providers. However, my concerns here were primarily about sanitation and basic professional practices, not personal preference. I did contact management afterward, and I want to give them credit for how they handled my complaint. They responded promptly, acknowledged that my sanitation and service concerns were valid, apologized, and issued a full refund for both services. I genuinely appreciate their response. Unfortunately, my individual experience with Melissa was still concerning enough that I felt it was important to share for other clients considering booking waxing services.

During the consultation I was of course asked for my medical history which I provided I let them know I had fibromyalgia at that time. (it is not the owner or the manager in the room with you during the initial consultation, so they are not fully aware of the information provided) I also opened an account through cherry which is a financial institution The Glow Method is affiliated with in order to pay for the procedure per their options. I scheduled my procedure for about 4 months in advance. I made several on time payments as directed. At my Pre-Op appointment I went in and discussed the procedure with Eliza and she advised me against the procedure due to my Fibromyalgia and how much it would hurt, which I was very grateful that she let me know at the time. (When I mentioned this to the manager later on, she brushed it off and stated she wasn't aware that this was the reason for my cancellation ) So I asked Eliza if I could cancel and get a refund for what I've paid into the procedure and she said it would be no problem. Well.. it was a problem. The Glow Method ended up refunding Cherry only a partial payment and they kept the rest around $1500. After several weeks of going in circles with Amber the manager, I was basically told nothing could be done to refund anything else as the Cherry account was closed and they were keeping the deposit of 20% of the total $7,500 which I was not informed about in any consultation (read the fine print ladies) Amber kept having me track her down to figure out what was going on which was incredibly frustrating. She just kept saying she's working on it... If she knew they were keeping the money, then why have me go in circles trying to contact them to follow up? The "transparency" they claim to have was not coming through. I guess the company must be in dire need in order to keep that much money for absolutely no services provided. At one point Amber even mocked and said, "well what do you want me to do give you a check? we don't have checks here at the office haha." This happened to a friend of mine a few years back where they also kept her $2000 cash and wouldn't refund it and that was not 20% of her total. (I had hoped I wouldn't go through the same thing I guess) So if you plan on getting a procedure of this magnitude keep in mind that you will lose any money you have paid into the procedure if you need to cancel, even if you were advised to do so.... This was an incredibly expensive "consultation" I guess I donated to a poor pathetic cause. Ladies there are so many other places to receive these types of services. Don't risk this amount of money on a company that responds in this manner when something comes up.. especially a medical reason. You just never know what can happen by the time your procedure arrives and you may need to cancel, you don't want to lose that much money.

One thing I realized was "safety & quality over cheapest price" My first round Stacy set true EXPECTATIONS with me since I had NO BUTT ANYWHERE. Let's say she exceeded my expectations on the first round!! My butt went from flat to big and natural!! She makes sure she does what she needs to do for the fat that is transferred to live and I retained 85-90% of fat from the 1st round!! She is always on call for you and checks on you daily after procedure. I've never felt more safe with a doctor before being so scared to doing a BBL in general as a single mother. I only went in for a 2nd round because I wanted an overly big butt , not because my first round didn't last. STACYS RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!!!:)
