I chose a Swedish massage and Isidro did not disappoint! I swear, his hands have magic in them. It's been MONTHS since I've been able to completely turn my head to either side, the pain was just too intense. And my back was in pain on the daily for so long I'd forgotten what it felt like to be pain free. After my massage was over. I SWEAR I could turn my head to either side with ZERO pain and my back felt great. Afterwords, I got in my car and called my husband. My first words out of my mouth were, "you're speaking to a wife you've never met before." I honestly felt amazing, like a new pain free person. I called Serenity By the Sea in Morro Bay and explained my issue and asked if they had samples available to at least last me for four days. The woman who I spoke to was so kind. Without question, she accommodated my request and asked me to stop by Serenity By the Sea and she would have my samples ready. I picked the moisturizer today. Thank you so very much. What a beautiful act of kindness. You made my day. The moisturizer is so hydrating.

The cons are not a single muscle was ever even connected with as it was just a light caress to the skin that included about 15 minutes of just rubbing nails over me. Nowhere close to a deep tissue. There seemed to be no technique or attempt to even at least manipulate the body for a stretch. It ended 15 minutes early which was less a problem bc I was such a joke. Heather was helpful in taking info to verify my claim for them to bill but then she never called me back (it's been a couple weeks now) so I gave up and went to Dr. Becker who I am very happy with. I have been to many chiropractors, I imagine the doctor himself could be very talented but these over-staffed types of offices tend to run a lot of patients through. If you have insurance paying then you probably don't care about the cost. If you are out-of-pocket like me then you might want to find a smaller office that can give more individual attention. Again, the doc might be great but with the lack of callback, I wasn't happy with the customer service. Another employee there got snippy with me when I simply tried to leave my insurance person a voicemail about the billing, I called from inside the office when there were no other patients there and was ordered out of the office. I was not speaking any louder than their staff when they are on the phone.

My back had been my weakest link physically and I figured stiffness and chronic pain was the payback for all that running along with all those years. Shawn came highly recommended and I initially went to him knowing I had much to gain if he could help and only a few dollars to loose if he couldn't. Working with Shawn has been an extremely positive experience both physically and spiritually. I've recovered flexibility I've not seen since college, my core is stronger, I no longer have ANY back pain, I feel healthier and I'm back to running pain free. Just being pain free has made my visits well worthwhile. The improvements in my running are icing on the cake. Sessions with Shawn are great. Initially he focused on relieving my back issues and now he focuses on getting me more efficient in my running while maintaining a healthy and sound body. Throughout it all Shawn has given me exercises to do at home and has, in a sense, become my coach and also my friend. I think having been a professional athlete has helped Shawn to become a master of his craft. He's an extremely knowledgeable body/mind therapist but what I find most important is that Shawn listens and truly cares. I recently ran a very challenging 50k up and down the Mogollon Rim and won my age group. I probably wouldn't have made the starting line without Shawn's help. I very highly recommend Shawn.
