Happy to have found Peace Pie! I love ice cream sandwiches, and after tasting their product, I don't know why there aren't more parlors that offer ready-made sandwiches as an option. All sandwiches are handmade fresh, but are in the case ready to go when you get there. They're $6 each, so not cheap, but they are filled with quality ingredients and extremely good ice cream. All kinds of flavor combos, many traditional, but some wild new ones as well! They also give a nod to locality, like the "Jersey Devil" flavor. Peace Pie is a small chain with beach town locations in NJ, NC and FL. Five stars for the flavor and quality, but very pricey so had to take off a star for that. They do take c-cards, though, so you can at least get plastic rewards for your purchase. read more

I love the concept- an ice cream sandwich that has a little pie filling and a nice big scoop of ice cream. The cookies have a peace sign on top of it. There is an assortment of flavors to choose from. However, these are already made so when you get it the pie filling or whichever filling you go with is frozen as well. This is fine but does not let you truly appreciate what filling is in with the ice cream. I went with the apple pie and my friend went with the strawberry shortcake. OMG so glad we ran into Peace Pie. We were walking back to our car to leave and just happen to notice the sign and small "shop". There were plenty of flavors to choose from. This was the perfect get away snack. If we knew it was by the car we would have stopped before, during, and after. Fun and delicious! The ice cream is excellent, it has great flavor and texture. Stroke of genius, unique take on the classic ice cream sandwich. The outside cookie was crispy... similar to the cookie in a Twix. The ingredients piled on were awesome. If anything, the ice cream itself wasn't particularly memorable, but the ingredients more than made up for it. So good we went back the same day to get more. Each ice cream sandwich is $6 which may seem a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth a try. I got the Jersey Devils because it seemed interesting, and it is made of blueberry ice cream, tart cherry pie filling, and vanilla mousse. I generally don't like ice cream sandwich, so I thought the sandwich part was a bit too dry. The middle part, however, was really good and is something that can't be found anywhere else. read more

We thought it closed at 9pm on a Thursday (we found three different times when looking them up), but apparently it was 9:30- it would be great if they made sure their hours matched on google, Yelp, and their website! We made it just in time and we each got an ice cream sandwich. They have tons of different flavors, and each had different types of cookies, ice cream, and a small layer of filling. My boyfriend got a Jersey-themed ice cream sandwich that tasted like an amazing blueberry pie. I got a mint chocolate chip that was pretty freaking good. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful as we made our decisions.
