For desserts, we ordered the homemade twix bar and rocky road cupcake. Didn't get photos of everything, but everything was DELICIOUS!! The rocky road cupcake was the only thing that got mixed reviews. The rest of the food was top notch! The employees were also extremely kind. As for the restaurant iteself, it's hidden in a corner so it's a bit hard to find, but worth it. The restaurant is gorgeous and has such relaxed vibe. I am NOT vegan, but I really love this place. Funny thing... you know how some people 'detox' after poor dietary choices with a 3-Day Juice Cleanse? My idea of a reset is going zero-carb/ full carnivore for three days. :) That said, my preferred eating plan is simply whole, real foods. If I eat vegan, it can't be processed, Beyond/Impossible anything crap. Give me the synergistic benefits from the enzymes, nutrients and vitamins in all the colorful dehydrated plants instead. On my recent visit, I was over the moon happy to learn Peace Pies has a recipe book out. It has the whole restaurant menu, plus the specials and more. The book is reasonably priced at 25$. I often spend that much on a single meal including dessert here anyway(I mean, with 'pie' in their name, how can I resist?!). Overall, while I look forward to trying recipes from my new book, I will continue to visit for "field research" as needed. I was a first time customer @ 3:00pm on a Sunday. Their method of ordering is self service at the counter. If paying by card, a tip page will come up offering you to add 18% up to 25%. I added 18%. It was brought to me at the outside seating area and included a side salad. The person who brought it to me asked if there was anything else I needed. I asked for a fork and a napkin. She told me I could get that myself inside. As a 75 year old who has difficulty walking I opted to eat the sandwich, which was very good, and leave the salad. If I go back I will not leave a tip for service they obviously don't supply. read more

Over the years I've eaten at several raw vegan places. Peace Pies is THE best casual raw vegan food I've had yet in the Nation. Favorites are the Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla and Magical Mango Curry Wrap. You also must give any Special they have on their chalk board a try, I've never not liked one of their Specials. We regularly order their Thanksgiving meal and supplement that with a cooked vegan meal. Occasionally they offer brunch and if you get a chance to try that, it's one of our favorite meals at Peace Pies. If I've eaten vegan junk and my digestive system needs a break, the first place I head is to Peach Pies. I haven't tried the OB location yet, but it's on my list! read more

We tried Peace Pies for the first time today, and were glad we did. The staff were very friendly and attentive, explaining the specials and giving us time to decide on our order. We don't usually eat raw food, but everything we ordered (the Bliss Burger, two wraps, and the Loving Lasagna) was fresh and flavorful. First time trying this vegan, organic, raw food restaurant - the menu is pretty extensive and there are lots of good options! A friend and I ordered two entrees to share - the Mystical Mushroom "Quesadilla" and "Tuna" Luna Wrap. Plates are about $14 each and are very generous portions. The Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla was amazing! Great flavor in the marinated raw mushrooms. Its healthy AND super tasty!! It's served with Guacamole and a few kale chips. I was less excited about the Tuna Luna wrap (also served with a few kale chips) - pretty good but not great. I'm excited to go back and try other menu selections. They have a good selection of raw desserts - cheesecake, pies and truffles. I didn't try any this time, but look forward to trying one next time. The staff is chill and friendly. I am not vegan but my sister in law is trying to be. We met up with one of her friends here because she is vegan. The kale chips were delicious, would definitely re-order again. The horchata milkshake did not taste like a normal horchata, it tasted like a banana milkshake. Prices were very expensive but I assumed it would be since everything is organic and raw material. The service was not good. The cashier seemed like he mentally was checked out, probably super stoned or something haha. My favorite, fully raw spot! Super flavorful and yummy! Everything is made with so much attention to detail, lots of layers and flavors. The mushroom stroganoff was marinated nice and long so the kelp noodles were soft and saturated with the creamy sauce. I love how there was more than enough sauce covering the noodles. It felt so decadent and abundant. The strawberry pie was exactly what I was looking for. That fruit compote texture of strawberry and dates or rhubarb? In a date and nut crust. As someone who prepares raw vegan food and can get sick of the date and nut crust and cashew/coconut cheesecakes, I have to say that they stay on top with their variations. Typically I feel like I can just make everything myself, but their food is worth trying! The durian shake is also amazing! They let me try some of the extras and it was so delicious! The seating environment at both locations are just serene. It's a beautiful spot to just soak in the sun and indulge in your own presence.
