    Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap
    Elizabeth M.

3 of us are new to the area & thought we'd try Peach's on SR 64 E for lunch. It's a cute diner style restaurant. The menu offers a large variety of breakfast and lunch items. It was hard to choose. I settled on the Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap. I opted for the fried chicken. The fried chicken was awesome. Nice and crispy while maintaining the juiciness of the chicken. Unfortunately, the fried chicken made for a dry meal. As a whole, the sandwich was lacking something. I would suggest to choose the grilled chicken instead. I got a side of onion rings that were delicious. One friend ordered the Peach's Club. It was your typical Club sandwich. One friend ordered the Patty Melt cooked medium with a side of fries. The Patty Melt was served well-done & my friend said it wasn't even good. Service seemed slow. The 3 of us were not impressed with our meals. If we come back, we will definitely try their breakfast meals instead.

Definitely found a gem! Our server, with her "happy day" to everyone was super responsive and fast to serve us. Food came put quickly despite being a busy weekend morning. The food had so many options and everything we tried, we enjoyed. The yogurt sundae was a hit for the kids! Will return!

There is just no excuse for ever putting out a sandwich that looks like this. I don't care if you charge an extra dollar. This was supposed to be a turkey melt that virtually has no turkey. They should be embarrassed by this product.

Still unhappy about this place. Menu says chicken fried steak, smothered in sausage gravy. Hash browns and a English muffin ordered. Order came out lacking in gravy and the hash browns thin and small. Asked for a little more gravy and the cook gave me a little plastic piece, half filled. I thought he was joking. The waitress said that's it, unless I wanted to pay for a side order. Wow! The hash browns had no flavor and looked like oil was used, not butter. Used to come to the Manatee store almost daily for years. They just don't have the same quality anymore. Many of our breakfast group now go other places. Wish they would care more about quality.

    Classic Ham & Cheese Omelette

A very good breakfast This morning I had an opportunity to revisit this Peach's, and I'm glad I did. I picked a good time, the place was only about half full so I was seated right away, and had coffee in hand in just a couple of minutes. Had my lumps in the wrong spots booth seat been better I would say it was a bright comfortable place, and after a few minutes I got used to my seat. For breakfast I decided on their Classic Ham and Cheese Omelette. I was still reading other reviews on my phone when I was surprised by a plate of food, very quick at about 7 minutes from ordering. The omelette looked and tasted very good. I had gotten their homefries, which were deep fried potato cubes. For me that wasn't great and I left about half, my personal preference would have been something like grilled with garlic and onions and seasoning. Interesting to me was a diner at a close table who looked at my plate and was excited to order those same potatoes. Differing opinions is a wonderful thing. Service was good, my coffee was refilled a couple of times, I already had my bill when I was ready to go. At Peach's you pay up front when you leave.

Friendly, fast service. Spinach salad was fresh and full of fruit, cheese, bacon, and chicken. Will definitely be back soon.

Date of Visit: 05/24/2026…read more It was Sunday over Memorial Day weekend and we decided to make a trip to the Ellenton Mall for the afternoon. For being the holiday weekend the traffic was mild, made it over the Skyway and to the mall in no time. After our walk around we were hungry and walk over to the cheese steak place, which is awesome by the way, but they are closed on this Sunday. Dang. That's when I remembered the place on the river. We had already been to one of them and wanted something new. And Whiskey Joe's was it. Leaving the mall and getting there was easy. And once you turn it's at the end of the road. First time here so we weren't sure of the lay-out. There is inside as well as a tiki-bar area. We made our way to the tiki bar since it was a nice day with a breeze. After sitting we were quickly attended to. However there was only the one guy running the tiki bar so we knew to be patient. After he made a round he came back and had our drinks and taking our food order. Since I had a burger yesterday, you would know this if your following me, I wanted something different. I chose the blacken chicken w/fries and the wife ordered the Caribbean salad. I really don't know how long it took to arrive, we were enjoying the view and nice breeze. Then our food came, presentation was good. I didn't take off for the fries, I'd rather have them not coated, these were like Checkers fries. Some people like them that's why I didn't take points off I still had some. Though I did like the chicken very much, it was so juicy. And Like others have noted, the blackening here is just the seasoning not the actual act of blackening. I'm still waiting to go somewhere where they actually blacken it. Now the wife just loved her salad. It too came with chicken only hers had Caribbean seasoning and juicy as well. We only stayed for lunch and a beverage. It is a great place to stop after the mall. Peace.

Service was friendly, attentive, and surprisingly fast. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The grilled oysters were plump, well-seasoned, and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. The fish tacos were tasty, and the side of fried sweet plantains was delicious. We also tried the ceviche, which was flavorful, but the portion felt a bit small for the amount of chips served alongside it. The gator bites were tough and chewy. May be more palatable if the size of the nuggets were smaller cuts. The margarita tasted good, though the alcohol was barely noticeable. Overall, a very enjoyable first visit with quality seafood, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Just be prepared for slightly pricey portions on some dishes.

The booths are comfortable as well Service - Excellent. In fact, from the those tending the bar, to our server at dinner, staff was very attentive and friendly. Food - Excellent. I will say that the all day menu varies greatly. It ranges from flatbreads to surf and turf. I ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque and the Wood-Grilled Crusted Lamb Loin. The bisque was served hot and it was very good. The lamb was served over mashed potatoes and had broccolini on the side. The portion was generous. It too was served hot. The char on the lamb was perfect and the meat very tender. Overall - I am not a fan of chain restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience and I will definitely return.
