The sweet potato hash stole the show with roasted sweet potatoes, chorizo, caramelized onions, peppers, and a perfect runny poached egg, earning mpraise for crispy perfection and Ivana's applause for bold, spot-on flavors. Service is quick, waiter and people in the restaurant are very attentive which is a plus and ambiance was pretty busy. Boyfriend ordered the pancakes, he said they were good but nothing special. Fresh, fast, friendly is right! Had a bowl of steaming hot grits with cheese- creamy goodness! It's big too! Nothing special We stopped in at this Peach's yesterday for some breakfast, it has been quite a while since we visited this location. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. As we ate our breakfast I noticed and was reminded they have a customer sign-in sheet at the entrance, so if you stop in when it is busy, be sure to add your name to the list. One of my favorite breakfast dishes is Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, which they have under Specialties on their menu. You can order a half or full order, I went full, and even though the eggs were small, it was still a good amount of food. Our food took about 10 minutes to arrive. Sometimes when I order corned beef hash at restaurants it is ground so fine you wonder how much, or how little, is in your food. One way to tell is how pink/red the hash looks. The hash I got at Peach's was so pale I don't think there was very much. That said, I still liked the flavor of the dish, whether it was due to seasoning, or they used good flavorful homemade corned beef, or both. Still, the dish was nothing special. In my last review I had mentioned they had seasoned homefries. I didn't get a side with my hash but my wife did with her benedict, so she got me the homefries. Turned out they were not seasoned, just cubes of fried potatoes. Also nothing special. My wife was less pleased with her breakfast, in that the avocado that came with her Cobb Benedict wasn't ripe. She did mention it to our server at the end of the meal, just to let the restaurant know someone needs to pay closer attention. To our surprise Peach's comp'd her food. Got food poisoning after eating the club, pickle and fruit cup. It was the only thing I had eaten and I got violently ill and still am ill. Talked to the manager asking her to check temps and food safety and she just flippantly told me that they have no issues and have no other complaints. Well sure if you don't take the customer seriously and actually go back and check then I guess you won't find anything. Then she tried to blame it on me getting a bug. Avoid!! read more

My husband and I had breakfast here recently sans kids. I've lived in Sarasota all my life and I never eat here. Well, I can see that's been a mistake. Their food is delicious and their menu has a lot of variety. Staff was so nice, both our server and others. Had a short wait, maybe 15-20 minutes on a Sunday morning at 10am. We can't wait to take the kids back, we think they'll love it. My only complaint would be the hostess. Can't understand when she calls your name or anyone else's (and my husbands name is literally Al) and she's rude on top of it all. We watched her drop a ranch cup on the floor which exploded all over two patrons at the bar and she didn't even apologize or offer them napkins. She seemed aloof and oblivious to everyone around her. A go to place for brunch/breakfast in Sarasota (my other favorite being First Watch)! I've been a couple times, and this time I went on Christmas Eve. They were giving out free eggnog but unfortunately we arrived too late and they were sold out by 12:30. I have to say the staff was great in terms of not being annoyed with the constantly changing number of our party. We had asked for a table for 8 initially, but we ended up with ~15 and they let us split up into a few tables with no grumbling! We also had a super sweet server at one of the tables (an older lady who speaks French)--she was adorable. This time around, I ordered an eggs benedict dish, which was pretty good (I think I prefer their pancakes though). I also love their hash browns although unfortunately mine were a lil dry/overcooked this time! Don't let this stop you from going though, because I really would consider this a classic place to go for breakfast. read more

This is that spot you go when you are hungry and not sure what you want for breakfast or lunch. You will always find something to tease your taste buds either on the menu or among the daily specials. Service is a bit on the slow side, unless your server knows you are a local and on a lunch break. Locals are king here. Only other negative is that the french fries are coated and tend to be on the dry and thin with heavy coating. Avoid them, go with the fruit side which is always fresh and delicious. For quicker service, go to the counter where the servers work in a team fashion. This place is jammed during season daily. read more

Great service here Labor Day Monday morning. They were short-staffed (like so many these days) but the staff were friendly and attentive, flying all over the place to make sure everyone was attended. Their curbside pick up is broken. I've ordered from them about 6 times and 3 of the times they either gave my order to another person or simply never made it. The other issue is, the person giving out the curbside has no way to give you a time frame or even know if your order has gone missing. I just witnessed someone else, endlessly frustrated with the system and throw a fit in the restaurant. I waited over an hour and a half just to cancel my order. My mom, brother and I went here for a quick bite before heading over to our Grandma's in Sarasota. It was very busy with both locals and retirees around lunch time on a Friday -- some people had to wait as it got closer to noon. But the service was quick, so the new people found tables quickly. The food here is pretty typical diner fare. Lots of sandwiches, omelettes and eggs all days, all with decent sized portions. Arriving on Monday at 10:30am we were promptly seated and server brought beverages - then did not return to take our order until we flagged him down. He was engaged in a loud, Spanish speaking conversation with another table whom he seemed to know well, which everyone could easily overhear, including the restaurant staff. After a 20 minute wait, our order was delivered by another server - a very skimpy portion of quiche (and not the one noted on the special's board) which was tepid. Other order, pancakes, were fine. am horrified at the way my daughter was treated with her service dog. I used to love going to peaches so I brought my adult disabled daughter who has a service dog. A long haired dachshund. Well the waitress kept staring at her then sat us down and went and got a paper to put on table explaining what was expected of a service dog. She acted like my daughter was in the wrong for bringing the dog inside and the dog really wasn't a service dog. My daughter was insulted and embarrassed and couldn't eat and was uncomfortable. I have seen service dogs come in before and never treated badly but they were larger dogs so because we had a somewhat smaller dog it couldn't be a real service dog in the woman's mind. Peach's restaurant displayed the highest level racial discrimination I have ever experienced. We were seated near the front with plenty if staff coming going by our table. After about 15 minutes with no service, we asked the greeter for assistance. He took our order and gave us some coffee.
