While the facility is convenient, the aftermath was not. When my wife requested that her prescriptions be sent to a CVS location near us the prescriptions were instead sent to a Publix pharmacy. Several phone calls, working through the answer system to finally reach a person, it took two more phone calls and a visit to the facility to try to get the prescriptions sent to the pharmacy that is most convenient to us. By the way, a visit to the Publix near us revealed that the prescription had been sent to yet a different Publix. So, in addition to the discomfort, the adventure to get the needed prescription does no meri high marks for this location. read more

I had a sinus infection. PA told me to take Sudafed. A week later, I reached out because I was worse and had a fever. Four days, no response. I went to Piedmont Urgent Care. They prescribed Amoxicillin. Emory does many things very well. This isn't one of them. read more

Unhelpful staff that does not care. Slow responses and delays in appointments. I came in for a very simple test that was needed for work. I came 15 minutes early, they took my payment, and disappeared. I sat waiting for an hour. The lobby was almost empty (another clue), so it was not because they were busy. Had I not paid, I would have walked out. My advice, is skip this place unless you are so desperate and don't mind wasting a half day. Zero Stars needs to be an option. read more

Once I did they told me I was next then she looked right at me and walked by me to see another patient first. I other nurse went to get her and let her know that I was first and needed to leave but she still walked past me again and went to the other room first. Rude and unprofessional. read more

UPDATE: On 10/1 I was surprised to find a bill in my mailbox from PIC. For a simple rapid COVID test, my insurance was billed $325.68 (!) -- and this facility was supposed to be a core network provider. This review is for Covid testing only. Made an appointment 24 hours in advance for 11:00 am on Sunday for a Covid test on their website. Drove up, parked. Got my temperature taken and blood pressure checked. Got my nose swabbed. Then got in line, in my car, to wait for my results. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. It'd very convenient that they're open on Sundays. I would guess that it's not this quick every time. In fact, I got a text that the wait can be up to 1 hour. My experience was great though! All employees who were in communication with me were wearing masks the whole time and were wearing them properly. I definitely recommend. I think the older reviews regarding Covid tests were before they got their system running well. I passed this location numerous times toward the beginning of the pandemic when the line for testing was all the way down the street. Since then, they've improved their timing and require appointments. read more

Went here for bronchitis/asthma symptoms to get treated on Dec 3rd. I am currently not on health insurance so I pay out-of-pocket for healthcare currently, so we called the urgent care before hand and asked them for a transparent amount that we would have to pay out of pocket for basically a lung check up. We were quoted $250, which the front office desk person said included the basic Covid test, strep test, and an x-ray. We pay that amount in office and now I am getting a bill a little over a month later for an extra 125 and the woman in billing stated on the phone that this was for the x-ray. As a college student in their 20s paying out of pocket for healthcare, some honesty and general just cost transparency when asked is greatly appreciated. It kind of feels like a scam to be honest when you were lied to you on the phone and then sent a bill later on for something that you were told you would be paying for in the $250. I can say that both times I've been there I have received very good healthcare, so I cannot say anything negative about that but when it comes to money, I'm going to have to give it one star review for the poor communication, given our healthcare system in America is already the abysmal way it is. read more

I went in because I had shortness of breath, I was dizzy, my throat was sore, my head was spinning and I could barely stay awake. I was scared. Upon waiting almost 2 hours to be seen, I was informed that my insurance was not active. I could barely speak so I asked if they could just bill me. They literally were asking me about payment and could see I was sweating and could barely keep my balance. Ultimately, they said they couldn't see me and I had to leave if I could not pay. I know my rights and this is insane! I am a citizen of this country and to be turned away without care pisses me off! I am definitely making a complaint with the medical board. I have NEVER been turned away for medical care before and it sucks. I was too lethargic to even react. I did my research, spoke to a lawyer and found out I have a case. I had the worst experience today at Peachtree Immediate Care, particularly with a physician's assistant named M. Taylor. I am 26 weeks pregnant & have had a serious cold for about a week. I nanny for a 1 year old, so catching colds is the norm for me, but this time I feel sick as a dog. It turns out the girl I nanny, my nephew, as well as a good friend of mine's baby, all have caught RSV (I have been in close contact with all three). My symptoms are consistent with RSV &/or a sinus infection, so I decided to get checked out to be safe. I waited for an hour in the waiting room for a walk-in appointment. When I finally was taken to a private room, the nurse asked the typical questions & checked my vitals BUT she did NOT take my temperature (which I didn't really care about until later on). I specified how far along I am in my pregnancy, noted my exposure to multiple children with RSV, & details of my symptoms. After waiting for an hour and thirty minutes, a physician's assistant named M. Taylor came in. She checked my heart/lungs, ears, lymph nodes, sinuses, & throat. After the exam she essentially told me that I looked perfect & overreacting. She said that sinus infection was ruled out because I didn't flinch when she pressed on my sinuses (which I didn't understand because I am experiencing intense sinus pressure in my cheeks/forehead). I told her that my mucus was opaque and greenish in color, that I felt horrible & much worse than I normally do with other colds. I mentioned my exposure to RSV but she said I didn't need to be tested for that since everything to her looked AOK. She ignored my concerns, diagnosed me with a mild cold, & suggested that I take an over-the-counter decongestant along with cough drops. She told me she had a list of OTC medicines I could take safely while pregnant. I was bummed that I spent 2.5 hours of my day to be told that she couldn't help me & frustratedly got up to leave. As I walked out, the PA sassily said "there's the exit." I paused to ask if she could provide me with the list of OTC medicines she mentioned... with an attitude she said "Oh I didn't think you wanted that." She printed off papers that also included my receipt. Had I not asked for that list, it appeared that she didn't plan on giving me my receipt regardless. I burst into tears not only because I feel so sick & uncomfortably pregnant, but because M. Taylor's callous bedside manner was so upsetting. When I got home I looked over the receipt/papers she gave me, and found many alarming notes - for one, it stated that I was 0 weeks pregnant when I told both the nurse & physician's assistant that I was 26 weeks (and noticeably pregnant), secondly, it noted that my "temporal temperature" was 98.6 when I am certain that my temperature was never taken, lastly, medications that I am no longer taking at this time were listed under current medications. After leaving, feeling defeated, my husband insisted that we call my OB to see if she thought we should get a second opinion (which she did) and visited a different urgent care. To no surprise, we found out that I indeed have RSV (which, unfortunately nothing can be prescribed to alleviate for someone who is pregnant) AND a sinus infection (which CAN be treated with a prescription). I'm so glad we went elsewhere, so I can finally recover! Unless you are willing to wait for 2.5+ hours for care from an incompetent, unprofessional, rude staff members, I highly suggest going elsewhere for urgent care. read more

Lady has me go through the whole process and filling out papers for them to tell me they cannot help w dehydration. Free covid test BUT they charge you $331.52 for an "office visit". They are getting government subsidized but try and take more money from you for said "office visit" which is them walking to your car and back. Free covid test isn't free whatsoever. Update: call them and make them change the "office visit" to covid related so insurance will cover it. They obviously charge this with it not connected to covid so they can receive more money. This place has horrible bedside manner. I went in twice about 4 days apart with sore throat and ear pain. I'm a nurse myself so I wouldn't go in for nothing. Day one they tested me for Covid and that's it. The second time they took no vitals, and swabbed for strep at my request. Rapid strep was negative. Thursday I got a call that the culture was negative and then the very next day I got a call that it was positive. These people have no clue what they're doing and are so rude. read more

I came to this location a few months back thinking I had a severe cold, which they essentially confirmed without asking too many questions and sent me home. It ended up being a nearly septic kidney infection that another urgent care caught a few days later from a urinalysis (which this location didn't ask or think to do). If I hadn't gotten a second opinion I quite literally could've died. Came back a second time just today for a sprained ankle, wait times were fine luckily, but the nurse shared with me (unprompted) that she's against the covid vaccine and never got it herself because she thinks "they rushed it"... which was rather alarming to hear from someone you're trusting to take care of your heath. It's an okay place to go but I would choose somewhere else in the area if you can. read more

I've been here 3 or 4 times over the past few years, I tend to get strep throat (or something similar) about once a year and it's not worth a trip to my primary physician (very simple diagnosis and treatment). I've had no problem with the care received, but I do have a problem with the billing practices -- which seem to have changed significantly in the past year. I have a high deductible insurance plan and I pay out of pocket at the "negotiated rate" until I hit my deductible. In the past I've paid about $100 out of pocket for a routine visit to get a quick strep test and get a prescription for antibiotics (whether or not strep test was a strong positive). This year I got a statement for $564.90, minus 1) insurance adjustment of $182.81 and 2) "insurance pending" of $175.00. So total due is $207.90. But the statement isn't itemized at all. I called the number on the bill to request an itemized statement, but either no answer, voicemail full, or no callback after leaving voicemail. Their payment center is NOT staffed to handle anything by phone. So I logged onto my insurance site to see the claim and the non-discounted billed amount is: 1) $321.90 for Medical Visit, 2) $68 for Laboratory Services, and 3) $175 for Laboratory Services. I was also billed separately by the lab for about $75, but after my insurance discount I paid about $5. This was for 5 minutes with the nurse (temp, BP, swab) and less than 5 minutes with the doctor. (In the past I've also been seen by nurse practitioner or mid-level provider, doctor was not necessary for this). I called my insurance to ask if these charges are reasonable and they seemed to imply it was normal. They also confirmed they're not paying anything since I didn't meet my deductible (which is expected). So I hope I don't get billed separately for $175 "insurance pending". Also, on each visit they send the throat swab to the lab and promise to call me with results, but they never call. Seems like a pointless step unless you don't get better on the antibiotics. And... I paid the invoice, but since they don't answer the phone you can only pay by mail. There is no option to pay online. Hard to believe given the amount of revenue they're bringing in. So if I happen to go here again (not likely) I will claim to be uninsured and pay cash... which would have been $175.00 per their website. If you present your insurance card they see $$$$. More likely I'll end up at MinuteClinic or Telemedicine. read more

SEEK TREATMENT ELSEWHERE!! Don't waste your time or money here!! I had a sore throat and symptoms that seemed fitting with strep (a white patch on the back of my throat). I made an appointment the night before, and went in the following morning. It wasn't very busy when I arrived, but I still was not sent back or even seen till 30-45 minutes after my set appointment was made for. The nurse that got my vitals and actually did all of the work was very pleasant and nice. She did 2 tests, a strep and 1 additional swab in the event it was not strep. Dr. Dillard was who then came in to discuss the issues in more depth. The conversation could have not been more uninspiring or rushed if he tried. He was lethargic and didn't really seem to care or try understanding my pain in my throat. He had me take some deep breaths and felt my neck area to see if there was any swelling. He then said it was not strep, and I would be contacted when the lab results as to what might be wrong came in. He prescribed antibiotics, and left, the entire interaction may have been 2 minutes. I have gone to minuteclinics in a Walgreens and recevied better care. It has now been a full week, I have not been contacted with any updates, and when I call there I get a busy signal. Fortunately I have since seen a family friend that is a physician. Within 2 minutes of hearing my symptoms and taking a look at my throat they knew exactly what it was. They also said taking antibiotics was not going to help the situation at all as it was not bacterial, but a apthus ulcer. Bottom line, this facility is a waste of your time and money, and very well may mis-diagnose your symptoms. TL/DR: They mis-diagnosed my symptoms, took a while to see me, rushed me out when I finally saw the doc, and were rather expensive through United Heathcare. You would be better off going to a drugstore minuteclinic in my opinion. read more

SLOW, DISORGANIZED, UNCARING and UNPROFESSIONAL. My daughter and I waited for over an hour to be seen even though we had an appointment. When we finally were seen, we didn't get what we needed, a Rapid COVID TEST result documentation, due to their miscommunication. When I called to inquire (4 days later), I was told this was totally our fault. No responsibility from the center AND no one thought to call us proactively to say there might be an issue with the test. This isn't the first time we've been disappointed by the care at this location. Will not go back. read more

They wrote me a prescription for ear drops for $700... Quite expensive given that I needed 27 drops for 3 days.... CVS told me it's non-sense and offered me to come back to the care center to get an alternative. When I returned, care center offered alternative for $10, but after second consultation with the doctor it became not available... Having similar medicine at home, I wanted to quickly check with the doctor if that would suffice, but the doctor was too busy to give me 2min of attention after I waited 30min. I got another prescription for another medicine with unknown price... Something shady is going on there. I was not given any explanation for necessity of such an expensive medicine. Had a sore throat for 5 days and wanted a strep test. Made an appointment. I was told I would have my results in 3-4 day which would mean I would be dealing with the sore throat for a week. I waited and never got my results so I called after 4 days. I have called again and again and am either sent to voicemail (which says they will return calls by the end of the day) or sent to speak to someone else (and that line is never picked up). I am now at day 8 and still can't get through. Getting an appointment is easy. Getting good care is not. read more

I've had to come here twice in the past few years. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes (including time to fill out paperwork). The staff is friendly and professional. My copay was $75 and wasn't billed beyond that (except $20 for crutches). Waiting room is clean and the sitting things are comfy. They'll help you to the car if needed. I highly recommend this place for urgent care in the Brookhaven/Chamblee/Doraville area. Parking is decent. read more

I have never met anyone ruder than Zack. Not only was he one of the rudest medical professionals I have ever met but laughed at my special needs sister in the face while she was crying. I have been to this place and the service is hit or miss. Today I came in and was told there would be an hour and a half wait, so I signed up for a text message alert and came back before I was supposed to be seen. After waiting for over 30 min with no explanation from the staff I asked how much longer it would be and if I should leave and come back. The receptionist looked annoyed and told me that I could view the screen for wait time and that they had some emergencies. If there are emergencies then then this facility should be able to push the wait time out and be properly staffed to handle them. The other feedback for this place is that they treat people differently. The last time I came in with a cough they made me wear a mask and I was the only person in the waiting room. Today I sat in a waiting room full of 15 people coughing and sneezing all over the place. They should look at their policies and enforce them consistently. The last piece of feedback is the service you receive as a patient very much depends on who is on call. I had a few great experiences when the doctor out of the midtown office was working in Brookhaven. My visits afterwards have been mediocre. I had one doctor who came in for 2 minutes didn't listen to me and told me my cough was just an allergy. My advice is find some place that is better managed with more consistent service. Maybe try the midtown location. Update went back to this place after not learning my lesson the first time. I saw the same doctor who insists that every six months I get sick it's just "allergies." Now I'm on day six of still not being able to breathe with so much sinus pressure I can barely open my eyes. Next time I want to spend $100 for someone to tell me to take Claritin I will skip this awful establishment and go straight to the pharmacy. Here's a tip pay half the price and call MD Live. My second visit, but this last visit was on week-end (Sat.). Went for rapid covid test for medical procedure. Unlike my last visit during the week, I was there for 1 1/2 hours, just for test. The waiting room was crowded and one person was sick with what I believe was covid. I arrived 10 min. before my appt., but 2 people who came in after me were taken before me. I know one of the 2 people was there for a covid test as well. I asked the receptionist why I was still waiting and why these ppl. were taken before me. She couldn't answer and said nurse was running late - has nothing to do with others going before you. Staff appeared not as "caring" as they should. I present, for your consideration, a play-by-play of my experience getting a a COVID-19 rapid test at Peachtree Immediate Care's Brookhaven location. Spoiler: it wasn't rapid. Started out as a total clusterf#ck. Cars lined up, one employee directing traffic/patients, not ready in time for opening at 9am. Pro tip: If you state that you open at 9am, and you take appointments beginning at 9am (when mine was), your staff needs to be ready to go by 8:45am at the very latest. Try being excellent (or even just adequate) instead of below average, but of course private healthcare in the United States is usually mediocre at best. It's now 9:23am. Parked, but no test, no info from staff, and no sign that things are progressing. Finally got swabbed 30 minutes late. Could have gone without the "BLM" written on the nurse's mask. I'm here for a medical test, not to have yet another social/political message shoved in my face, so let's give that unprofessional crap a rest. Some advice to the clinic: respect your customers' time (a radical idea, I know), tell your staff to leave off the sociopolitical agenda, embrace a sense of urgency, and be ready and prepared to open and start rendering services *on time* if not early. To potential patients: consider other, more efficient options for testing or medical services in general. This was my second and definitely last visit to this clinic. read more

Terribly dishonest. Went in for a strep test. Was billed $1200. When I complained on the phone they eventually said they coded it wrong and would resubmit to my insurance. Then I got a bill for 350 and my insurance paid 40. They admitted I would have paid 160 if I didn't have insurance. read more

Will NEVER return We were in Atlanta from out of town when my fiancé had nausea and muscle numbness, and overall just felt off. He was seen right away, but we were basically told something could be wrong or it could be nothing at all since his vitals and tests were all clear and fine. The doctor suggested calling an ambulance was the only thing left to do and was SUPER pushy and rude about it. He wouldn't say anything was wrong, and his vitals were all fine, so we were confused as to why the doctor was making us feel as though we should be panicking. Especially since my fiancé takes no meds, has a clear health history, and is only 29. I actually started to tear up because I was so confused as to why it seemed like things were at a defcon 1 status when the doctor JUST said he couldn't find anything wrong?! When we refused the ambulance since the hospital was 2 miles away, he became incredibly rude, annoyed and snapped back that my fiancé could die at any moment. TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. I've tried searching for this doctor's name and once I find him I'll be updating this review. I ended up driving my fiancé to the ER out of sheer caution, against my fiancé's wishes, and he was fine. It ended up being an electrolyte imbalance and anxiety. The doctors and nurses at the ER were calm, compassionate, and did a great job of handling and de-escalating the situation and our panicked minds. I would ***NEVER*** go back here even for a tiny scratch. I have never seen such horrible bedside manner. If this doctor can't handle patients with care, compassion, and practicality then he should really rethink his career choice. read more
