He helped us choose a design for our project and worked with the concrete contractor to get conduit installed prior to the concrete pour. By informing my wife and I about product choices we didn't know existed, we were able to make our vision a reality. With prompt and reliable communication from Steve, we were able to get an estimate and start the lighting after the concrete workers had already started. Steve exceeded my expectations by being flexible with the schedule of the other trades working the project and making time for our job on very short notice. The products installed look and work great. The installation work is impeccable and the support and follow up after the work was completed has been tremendous. Our project was small, but I can tell that a larger job would be no problem. I would use South Bay Lights again and would recommend without hesitation.

He took apart almost every light switch and receptacle looking for that loose wire. He finally deduced it had to be an Edison problem. We called the power company. Then, he rudely points over to the most minuscule amount of pendant lights as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Not a good idea to be rude to a customer off the bat, but then after I looked at the very much lacking display of pendant lighting, I had a conversation in the parking lot, and I was yelled at by another employee that they were closing. They didn't close for another 20 minutes. Safe to say I will never be back, especially because they are not open on weekends. How is the general public supposed to be able to go and see anything in a storefront if they are only open from 7am to 4:30 pm daily? A combination of the dismissive, rude, and unprofessional staff and the business hours make this establishment a no-go for me, and anyone who asks for my advice about lighting stores in the future. Anybody would be better off shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot.
