We frequented many lighting stores in neighboring cities because we were very specific about what we wanted. Most stores had a good variety but none was like One Stop Lighting. Frank was helpful, easy going, and patient. The rest of the staff members were helpful as well. They showed us many catalogues and websites online to help us find the right chandeliers. Go anywhere else. Thought I'd give them another chance after having had a bad experience years ago. Some things never change. Stopped in today & the young man behind the counter looked at me and did not say a word. A few min. later another woman came in and same salesperson said hello & could he help her. He knew I was there first. Recently, my husband went in with a bulb asking for 2 of same. Not til he left the store did he realize the salesman gave him 2 different wattages. They also were not same size as what we brought in. Waste of time. On top of that, the guy was rude. Must have been the same employee. Was looking for a place to repair my parent's 65 year old crystal electric lamp. Yelp reviews spoke highly of this place so I drove from Ventura to T.O. I was not disappointed! They affixed the crystals in 5 minutes (something I was not able to figure out), adjusted the crystal hurricane to make it fit and gave me a new bulb..all for the cost of the lightbulb! I came in looking for a replacement lamp shade.  I looked around the store and found one on display that would have worked perfectly.  I asked the woman behind the counter for assistance, I explained I have a saddle style lamp attachment.  She said they don't sell lamp shades with saddles.  I pointed out a lamp shade right next to her which had a saddle and that I saw a lamp shade near the front which was what I was looking for.  Her response was so strange.  "We're not Pottery Barn here, our lamps come with the shades".  I asked what do you do if you need a replacement shade?  "We wouldn't be able to order it but all of our shades are upstairs.". I said ok, well thanks for your time and she turned her attention away with no response.  Not even a... thanks for stopping in, sorry we couldn't help you.  At that point it was very clear that she had no intention of helping me.  It would have been a quick sale for them, maybe 5 minutes of her time for a hundred bucks.  I can't remember a time I walked into a small business where I felt so unwelcomed.  Very disappointing considering they have alot of unique designs at a reasonable price. read more

After purchasing numerous products from the store they neglect to stand behind their products. They tell you things about the product and how long they're going to last and when the product doesn't live up to the expectations that has been given out they easily fall back on "well this only has a one year warranty". Tom, one of the excellent staff members, was consulted on how to replace halogen itty bitty 12V lights - we've bought plenty from them over the years. My wife and I do not have air conditioning in our house. We went to One Stop Lighting and were informed by the store owner (Frank) about the fans. He directed us to the fans that use little power and produce a large stream of air flow. Frank knows every thing about lighting and fans. This store has the largest working inventory of lights and fans that we have seen. We purchased two ceiling fans and had them installed by the stores electrician (Sam). Sam was friendly and did a great job. We will purchase lighting and fans from this store again. read more

Buyer Beware! This company does not support their warranties. Nor do they support their employees word. I purchased an expensive light that became defective after three and a half years. I went to the store and I was told by an employee that the light had a five year warranty and that they would order a replacement and call me when it came in.. great. However, after waiting a month with no call back I contacted them to see if my light came in. The owner promptly told me that the light was out of warranty and they would not replace it. When I told the owner what transpired between his employee and myself he didn't care, he said it doesn't matter what the other employee said! He said that the warranty is the problem of his suppliers and not One Stop Lighting. He compared his store to Home Depot! The exact reason why I don't buy expensive lighting from Home Depot is because of warranty support issues. He was also extremely arrogant and rude about the whole thing. Bottom line; don't buy anything here unless you don't care about when it becomes defective. I will never do business with people who don't properly support their sales or their employees. Keep that in mind next time you think about going to this store. Also, look at how many one star reviews they have have; can't be for no reason! read more

First I walked into a competitor a block west on the boulevard. Was immediately greeted by a rude employee. Turned around and walked out. Glad I did, I found One Stop Lighting close by. The father and son owners were so helpful. Extremely patient as I was window shopping and unsure of what to buy. Needed to replace three exterior lights at my house. They were very helpful; showing me various catalogs and options as I spent over an hour debating what to buy. Finally made my purchase and they gave me a discount for buying quantity. Overall, my experience here was not a pleasant one. I found the staff to be unfriendly. They were never proactive about helping me across the process, including not calling me when my order was ready for pick-up. Every time I called them I had to remind the person I was speaking to about my order and that I had done an exchange. When I called to check on it or asked for help they were aloof and unappreciative of my business. When I went in the store to pick up what I ordered no one even looked up from their screens to help me, let alone smiled or greeted me. Also no one in the store was wearing a mask. We purchased 6 ceiling fans in the months before COVID. One of the fans is defective and under warranty. Phone calls to One Stop went unanswered. I went in after the half a dozen phone calls did not work. Luke warm feeling about the issue and was told One stop would call back. You guessed it no call. No response after another half dozen l calls and when they did answer they said they would call back. No call back so I made another trip into the store during COVID. I understood the delays caused by COVID because allegedly, the manufacturer was shut down. BTW, Lamp show replaced a fan that never worked the same day. So 2 of the 6 fans were defective. You have to ask, do they sell refurbished/returned fans. The price did not reflect it was a second! As of today, no one has returned my phone calls and I am done. Most amazing selection of lighting I have ever seen. They have tons of catalogs and are happy to help you search for something that is right for you. Service: two lovely gentlemen greeted us and asked us what we were looking for. They had a few suggestions as we browsed. We unfortunately didn't do out homework to measure the space for the outdoor light so we will have to come back. The staff really was eager to please the customer. Products: everything inch was covered with lights, every style, the whole store was crowded ( not kid friendly) careful of the aisles. Great quality items but some prices were very steep. Just look for sales items those look like a steal. read more

Both Tom and Dan helped me patiently while suggesting gorgeous choices from their displays, website and books. They really take the time to help their customers. We were looking to replace our outdoor lighting on our house and had success at One Stop Lighting in the past. We arrived at the store and were almost immediately greeted by a friendly woman, one may think, why such a low rating then. This woman was NOT wearing a mask. Actually the other employee was not wearing one either and was literally coughing the entire 2 minutes we were in the store. That is about the length of time it took for me to almost have a complete anxiety attack. It is people like this that are continuing and welcoming the spread of COVID. We are currently in a mask mandate for the entire state of California. As a business, people should air on the side of how others may feel. At least put on a mask when a customer enters your store. I find this behavior completely unacceptable and will NEVER purchase anything from this store again. VERY DISAPPOINTED read more
