I ran across this small cart at the Tasty Tuesday food truck meet in the Milk District (near the intersection of Robinson and Bumby). The owner doesn't have a brick and mortar store, so she does a lot of events like this and farmer's markets. I like the idea of using fresh, seasonal quality ingredients, plus I'm always down for ice cream/popsicles/froyo/etc. Of course I wanted to get a popsicle! My husband and I shared the coffee popsicle. It was amazing! I really enjoyed it. The owner/boss lady told me that the coffee is her personal favorite and I agree with her that it is probably one of the best popsicles I've had... and I've eaten more than my fair share of popsicles, so you can trust me on this! I could taste the coffee and the milk and it was just perfect. It was so good, I didn't even want to share it with my husband. Next time, I'll be sure to get my own!

The candy cane-flavored pop I bought this past weekend. Amazing. I need more. Many more.

Peak Season Pops still gets my full endorsement. The owner, Jana, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. This past Saturday, I saw her at the Winter Park Farmers Market. She didn't have any pops to sell then, but was selling gift certificates. The certificate I got was for 6 pops and at a value of $12.50 (I think?), which is a savings of at least several dollars. These are high-quality pops, so the $12.50 price is more than reasonable. I ended up using my gift certificate the next day when I saw Jana again at the Maitland Market. I think she actually gave me seven pops, so I definitely feel grateful and appreciated her generosity. I tried one of them, a candy cane-flavored pop, last night. Wow. It was amazing. (I've provided a picture of it.) I also got a coconut-cinnamon, a pear-cranberry, a roasted banana, a grapefruit-pomegranate, a chocolate sea salt (I think) and maybe an avocado-lime or a strawberry-tangerine. I have to admit ... I haven't looked at them more than once since I brought them home yesterday, and the one time I did was to try the candy cane one. I'm trying to show restraint and not eat all of them too quickly! Whatever definitely is in that bag is bound to be great, though. I've had just about all of the aforementioned flavors, save for the roasted banana ... they've been delicious and I'm sure that one will be, too. Check out PSP on Facebook as well as the official website. Can't recommend this business any more highly! The overwhelmingly positive reviews are right on the money.

These organic popsicles are delicious! Just had the Orange Creamsicle which was a refreshing blend of smooth and tangy flavors. Blueberry season is upon us and I can't wait to see what they will come up with. They have a refreshing treat for any season. I know they are at the Winter Park Farmer's Market on Saturday and the Maitland Farmer's Market on Sunday if you're looking for a taste.

We visited Peak Season Pops this past Saturday at the Winter Park Farmer's Market. I bought a smoothie at a different tent, but when I saw Peak Season Pops I wished I had waited to buy my treat. I had my pup with me and it was a hot day so I bought a pupsicle for her instead. She LOVED it!!! I will be looking for Peak Season Pops next time I'm back in Orlando- this time for me!

The trucks change out pretty frequently, so check out the participant listing, too!! This is a great way to get a taste of Orlando all in one place. There are about 15 - 20 trucks on average, at each event. Personal faves include La Empanda and pretty much any truck that has sweets. We just tried the Cake truck (I'm drawing a complete blank on the name - I'll circle back with an update on that) and the Hot Fudge Sundae cupcake was ridiculously good! They block off a good section of parking lot for this event, so there is plenty of space to bring folding chairs and a small table (recommend this actually). At the very least, bring some sports chairs with cup holders. The lines can get pretty hefty on some of the days, so try to arrive early and hop in line at your faves to ensure you get what you are looking for to eat. We like to divide and concur. He'll go to one truck and I'll wait at another, and we'll regroup at a chosen place. This works well on busy days. Overall: A A fun event, family / pet friendly, and plenty o' food to nom on!

The ambiance was nice but since it's a food truck, there's not much to say about it. The service was good, it took a little while but understandable for a food truck!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... 1. Friendly,…read morefriendly people. It's not just, "what can I get you?" It's the "how are you", and the smiles. 2. Clean, clean, clean. You look inside the truck & all is very organized and tidy. This is important to me, it shows pride in their work. 3. The arepas, my gosh, the arepas! Excellent, crispy outside, not bulging masa ball, inside, soft & not dry & crumbly. 4. The chicken, that is nestled inside the arepas, shredded evenly, tasty, moist enough to balance the arepa, but not too juicy that the arepa gets soaked & torn apart. It is not overly seasoned, which is fine because of the mixed cheese that is loaded on top, ooey, gooey goodness! 5. The sauce, the pièce de résistance, this cilantro & garlic sauce is amazing. It adds a level of flavor to the whole dish that is incomparable. Believe me, my husband and I, out of desperation, when they were on vacation, have tried another place & let's just say, not good. They also have a spicy version of the sauce that is not just handed out all willy nilly, you have to ask & yes, it is possible, makes it all more delectable. Do yourself a favor, follow & taste the food!
