I absolutely love this place. I called before hand and the owner is super nice. I really like the ambiance . The owner is really helpful and has owned the sho cone place for years .I ordered the orange creme and orange and pineapple with vanilla ice cream . It was so yummy . I genuinely missed this place. It was nice and refreshing . I feel like especially with the FL heat you can never go wrong with a sno cone. I thought the flavors of the sno cone paired well with the creaminess of the ice cream. It's definitely worth trying out. read more

This no frills local mom and pop shop has been in business for 29 years. We got an extra large tiger blood flavor and a small cotton candy flavor. The sno-cones were good and the price was reasonable. The sno-cones were served in Styrofoam cups with plastic spoons. The Styrofoam which may work well with the ice but it is bad for the environment. read more

I love this place and their old-time 1990's feel! Their snow cones are perfect, and just the right ratio of sugary-syrup and ice. I purchased a Groupon and got a ticket for 5 sno-cones - a great deal, and a nice treat on a warm day. Definitely better for you than the donuts next door. I do worry that this shop gets overlooked in the shopping center, but they have sooo many flavors! Even though I will be 34, I want to serve this at my next birthday party! They have a cooler that you can rent with ice and flavors for parties. read more

I was so excited to see that there was a snowcone shop locally when I was looking on Groupon. I grew up near New Orleans and there's not much better on a hot day than a snowcone! The owner is nice and friendly, which is always a plus. They have fun toppings like sprinkles, sour spray, and condensed milk. The shop was easy to find, clean, and had the cup sizes displayed with prices for experience. You can get a cone for about $3 depending on what flavor you pick and if you want a topping. My favorite flavor was chocolate topped with condensed milk, but I tried the buttered beer flavor and it was DELICIOUS!! Some snow cones have chunky ice that doesn't hold the flavor, but this place has a perfect ice machine that shaves the ice finely so it soaks up the flavor and melts smoothly. They also have ice cream so you can get a snowcone with a layer of ice cream in the middle! I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds delicious. Sno-cones are such a simple concoction, it is almost unbelievable and unimaginable that they could muster a 5 star rating. But they do! I stopped with the family, knowing that most sno-cone shops have walls and walls of flavors. To be able to try the many flavors here, you need to bring two baseball teams. My family and I, we could not manage it all and just ordered away. There are many many flavors, with lots of flavors original to the place, like Bahama Mama, Superman, Batman, Polar Punch, Piña Colada, etc. We had orange/grape, Batman/Polar Punch, and Piña Colada with condensed milk. All these were really good, specially the Piña Colada with condensed milk. I know it's done, and I still don't believe it, but I did order it and it happened. Anyway, these are really good sno-cones, maybe not a travel destination, but maybe yes. It is a really good place to stop by if you are in the area. At least that's what I thought. I am a bit of a snow cone, snowball, flavored ice, kakigori, whatever you want to call it, aficionado. I have been passing by this location for years, and finally decided to grab a couple smalls for myself and fiancé. Knowing it had been open for years, I knew they must be doing something right; Bob greeted me like I was a long time friend, and his wife spoke to me about her dogs upon learning I was a trainer. This place knows community and family. What they know better: ice! Like I said, I am a bit of a snob, so when Bob started talking to me about his process and the machines he uses. I could tell I was in for a treat. The ice is amazingly soft and PACKED with flavor. Best part? NO BRAIN FREEZE! Either I am lacking the essential material, or they truly know how to temper their ice to ensure proper texture, ability to hold their flavor choices and additives (like sweet cream!), and to not numb the mouth! I enjoyed my first experience today at Rainbow Sno-Cones! In fact, I had a lovely chat with Bob and his wife, Karen. They are a really nice couple and are very proud of their place. They serve traditional "New Orleans style" snow balls and have a GREAT variety of flavors. I found it extremely hard to pick one... and thankfully Bob made a lot of suggestions and helped me make up my mind. I got half blue raspberry (I think??) and half Dragon's blood. It was pretty refreshing and delicious but my one regret is that I got a small. What was I thinking?! I should have gotten a large :) Feel free to sample the flavors. I tried the butterbeer and it was AMAZING but thought it might be too sweet to have a whole cup of it. While I was eating and chatted with Bob and Karen they made me samples of some other flavors too. I got to try wedding cake and creamsicle and both were delicious. Wedding cake is definitely one of the best flavors and a classic. They mix the cream with the syrup and it's spot on. I will definitely be back..... possibly tomorrow! haha read more

I'm really confused by the reviews. The restaurant is dirty and all the furniture is worn and a few decades old. The employees (owners?) seemed really annoyed. And the Sno-Cones were gross and tasted like they were made with icky water. I threw mine away. read more

There are enough reviews below that clearly state the obvious. This place is a gem, go to it. Why I like it - because it's cheap and the portions are quite large (I'm good with just the kiddie size). Because the guy is really patient and understanding of questions. And because condensed milk on shaved ice reminds me of when I'd visit family in Colombia. This place reminds me of the son-cones I used to get in New Orleans as a kid. There's a great selection of flavors and you can't beat the price for a great treat. Bob puts on just enough syrup so that when you get down to the bottom, you've got that perfect consistency of ice and flavor, just like a traditional New Orleans sno-cone. The place is totally worth the trip from anywhere in Orlando. They have the best sno-cones in Florida. read more

Remember the delish sno-cones you used to have as a child? Well this place has those but even better. The owner is super nice and the store is clean. The flavors are really delish, especially the cotton candy and watermelon. You can also order a cooler for parties! So good. Watch when you leave- your kid may have an impromptu snowball fight. I couldn't recommend this place more. I've been coming here since I was a kid. They've been at this location for several years. There are so many flavors and choices you'll never get tired of coming. I have never gotten shaved ice better anywhere else The quality is super high. The owners are super friendly and nice they make coming in every time fun which is great if you have kids or are a goofy adult. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable, so it's not conducive to sitting and chatting, but I've always been able to find a spot. The ice cream options here are yummy with lots of options. They don't have a lot of "trendy" flavors, but do offer alcoholic ice cream options, which is super fun. Overall, I think this is a great little spot in College Park and I love coming here for dessert after having lunch or dinner in the area.

Both were delicious but the UBE stood out for me. This time it was not as packed and warm temp like it can be at times here. Ordered the Maiko Parfait in Ube : soft-serve with mochi balls, Japanese chestnut, adzuki red beans, sponge cake, corn flake, & agar jelly for $9ish. It was a delicious creamy not too sweet ube soft serve that had a delicious taste of ube. It was bright purple with the yummy-ness of this creamy ube flavor not the flavor im used to in filipino version ice creams. It had the mochi balls and chesnut - Corn flakes, Matcha sponge cake - Red beans, and jelly. I love this dessert. The interesting part of this soft serve - It was slow to melt! It was sturdy enough that when you take your time and enjoy it - It does not melt so fast unlike other soft serves. Would def come back again and get UBE!

The menu is huge with lots of fun twists. The shop has a clean, modern vibe with good seating. Service was friendly and quick.
