I was there yesterday for my appointment and could not have been more pleased. My car was ready even before the time they told me it would be! In the past 20 years, I have had 10 different BMWs. I am a huge fan of Peake. The service has always been outstanding! The sales staff is professional, well-informed and warm. When I have needed service, the service advisors have greeted me promptly and are friendly and helpful. Despite how much I love my 2015 335i, it's seriously depressing that I can't even use my $4000 extended warranty. Every single time I bring this car in for something small (it's mostly been just maintenance and squeaks rattles so far at 40k miles), I get my car back with something else wrong. Recently, my brakes were squeaking, so I took the car in to have them looked at (still under factory maintenance plan). I got it back, and they were much worse. I'm mechanically inclined, so I decided to try and fix them myself. When I went to remove the front wheels, I couldn't even get the wheel bolts off using a 3 foot breaker, they were torqued so tight. VERY obvious that an impact wrench was used, yet the service department would never admit it, nor would they pay for new wheel bolts, making my car a safety hazard. I brought the car back in to have my brakes replaced. It was at the dealer for 2 1/2 weeks. In the meantime I brought some new rear tires to have mounted too. NOW the problems with my car are out of control. First, my wheels were scratched/marred from mounting the tires. Why can't the dealer do this correctly? I've had tires mounted before and not a scratch. Then, I noticed something was fishy the moment I drove away. My fuel level was almost empty (28 miles left) and the trip computer only said 280 miles on it. I normally get over 400 miles to a tank. Also, the fuel wasn't anywhere near low when I dropped it off. Someone had driven my car very hard. On my drive home, I noticed my car now vibrates like crazy on the interstate. Horrible tire balance. In addition, they SOMEHOW managed to mess my alignment up, and the car wanders all over the road now. They shouldn't have even touched anything dealing with the alignment. And finally, I just noticed this today because it was the first time I drove the car spiritedly, but my second gear synchro is completely ruined. At high RPMs, my car won't even shift from first to second gear. WHAT THE HELL DID THE TECHS DO WITH MY CAR?? I will NEVER bring it back to Peake. I don't even want them to fix the problems they caused, because I'm afraid of what they'll mess up next. I'll be buying my M3 from Brian Harris in Baton Rouge - not even a question. read more

My car went in for service and I requested a shuttle to pick me up when it was finished. When I saw the shuttle approach I was in pure shock. I was like what the devil is that huge red white and blue thing with all of that dirt on it. The driver stopped and did not even offer to open the mini van door for me. I was like..... okay I guess I will open it. Got in and to my horror, the van was a mess.... it looked like a group of people just left empty to go coffee cups everywhere....the carpet was dirty, a New York Times paper haphazardly left across the seat. Upon arrival, he did not even offer to open the door for me. I opened it and slid out. I was appalled. To say that this is a high end luxury car lot, I will never......ever request a shuttle ride again. People pay top dollar for these cars. We should not have to ride in a disgusting, dirty, shuttle with a driver that will not even open the door. I felt like the service was sub par. They acted like they did not even realize my car was even there. I definitely did not feel as if I was at a luxury lot. I felt like I was somewhere off the side of a freeway. The shuttle was so dirty I wanted to clean it. And I do not even wash cars. If I could give you less than one star I would. read more

I have had a BMW since 2008 (which I bought from a dealership in Texas). I live in New Orleans and Peake is our only BMW dealership here. I cannot get over how poor the service here is. My mother had Lexus when I was growing up and the difference is immeasurable. My wife recently bought an Audi and the service at Audi New Orleans is incredible. I am ready to buy a new car and like some of the newer BMW models, but the service at Peake is enough to steer me away from BMW all together. The other poor reviews in this thread are completely consistent with my experience as well. It is impossible just to get a call back from a service representative. The worst experience yet was earlier this month when the dented my car - ON THEIR WATCH - and it was up to me to provide evidence of this. After a month, they decided to pay for the repairs and gave me a horrible rental car and told me the car would be ready in 1 day which actually took 1 week. Service target times/dates are NEVER met here whether it has to do with major service or something as simple as an oil change. The only cars that I want to get are BMW models however Peake is just SOO bad. I have decided to wait until the there brands update their vehicle lines. read more

This place is the absolute worst. I wish I could give it a ZERO star rating. I bought my vehicle in Miami when I lived there and had it serviced at 2 BMW dealers there and received the type of customer service you would expect with a "luxury" brand. Since returning to New Orleans, my car has been to BMW for the regular service/maintenance & for additional issues that have come up. The service was subpar from the start but I felt comfortable bringing my car here when I had my service coordinator JD who actually knew how to treat customer respectfully, understood maintenance, basic scheduling skills, logistics, and would clearly communicate with the shop people. JD and several service coordinators left BMW over a year ago and since then it has been a complete DISASTER. I have gone through multiple people, and I have seen what looks like a bit of turnover. Each time I bring my car, they tell me I have a loaner car (none are available when I arrive). They call me that my car is ready (its not). Simple basic stuff. I leave the lot with a car that has just had $500+ of service but there are still service lights in the dash. They are not thorough, but they also just cannot get a single thing right. They once made a suggestion to detail my car in apology for such terrible service. I brought my car in several times asking to redeem this "detailing" and each time they forget to wash my car at all! It is crazy. Most recently I called BMW for a tow to their dealership and service when my car was shaking violently on the HWY. They hung up on me. I left a message. CALL was never returned. I no longer have my BMW serviced at BMW. I love my car but I will NOT consider buying a BMW again as long as I live in New Orleans and Peake is the only option of dealership. This is the absolute worse service I have ever experienced. They are damaging BMWs reputation and ruining relationships with existing customers. read more

I absolutely DREAD coming here for service appointments!!! As soon as you pull up you're waiting...waiting... waiting. No one comes to your car to help you or check you in. You walk into the service area to about 8 employees standing around not acknowledging you or greeting you. Oh and there's ALWAYSSSS a problem with loaners or lack thereof. Customer service and satisfaction is horrible at Peake BMW in New Orleans, LA. The staff has a very dismissive attitude towards customers and are racist towards African Americans in my opinion. (I won't go into details about this on Yelp). The staff does not go the extra mile to try and ease customer frustrations. They make the customer seem wrong all the time. They NEVER have loaners available which in turn makes the customer have to go to enterprise to rent a car and pay out of pocket for that per day. I brought my car in, in September 2020 to have breaks fixed due to excessive squeaking. They said they replaced the front brakes, test drove it and the squeaking went away so they say. Got my car back and squeaking is even louder and consistently happens every single day I drive it. Brought my car back in this week for oil change, vehicle check, and brake squeaking. They called and said everything is fixed and resolved. Got there to pick up my car and squeaking is still ongoing and they witnessed it themselves and said they will fix it again. Why couldn't they just replace everything the first time in September. This place is beyond annoying. I really wish there was a different BMW dealership in the New Orleans area other than this horrible place. To say you have a luxury vehicle they surely do not treat it as such and the customer service experience is awful! read more

Update to my previous 1 star review. I called Peake TODAY 5/2/16 because I received a coupon FROM PEAKE for a $79 oil change. I called to schedule the appointment and was told the oil change was $149 even though I had the coupon. I obviously said "uh no thanks". So I called Brian Harris BMW in Baton Rouge, told them about my experience with Peake and that I had a coupon for the $79 oil change. What did THEY say? "We will obviously honor that coupon". So, my appointment is for tomorrow. Bad service as always from Peake BMW Awful service department. Every time I've been here for any type of service, the girls in the "checkout" area are extremely rude. I always deal with Eric while I am there as far as my "service rep", he is very friendly and always does a great job, but the girls need to go. I've never once met someone who spoke highly of Peake. I actually started going all the way to Baton Rouge to Brian Harris now to have service done. A while back I called and asked how much it would be to have 1 new tire installed on my car. I was told it would be about $210 or so, can't remember the exact price. So I go there and they bring it back and start to install the tire. While I'm sitting in the waiting area, one of the girls comes and tells me the total cost is going to be over $350. Naturally I expressed my view on that whole "situation". I informed her I called and asked about the cost to have the tire replaced, but apparently they didn't bother telling me the price with the tire installed. Why would I ever call just to get the price of the tire? I told them to stop servicing the car and to just return it to me. I went to Sears down the road, and had a new tire put on for $230 (INSTALLED). read more

Avoid this Dealership. Needed a starter and was told a insane price, Called back and asked again later in the day and got a completely different answer. One week later I Asked about a specialty fluid that most BMW models need. (which they 100% have in stock for servicing vehicles) Was met with a "nope i'm not sure" "We don't have that" so i asked about how they service vehicles. Which was met with a "We just do". I kept cool and asked if anyone carries that fluid. the reply was "probably not"..... i expect way more from a BMW dealership. read more

I just HATE coming here to have my car serviced. If you have ever visited dealerships with "class" this one has none. Dirty chairs for clients to sit on in the service area...the waiting room is not reflective of the quality of a BMW or the buyer. The sales and service team are not professionally trained - at least not compared to other BMW dealers I have visited. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and drive to another BMW dealership OR get ready for a crappy experience. This place has a stranglehold on the BMW market in New Orleans because people are not willing to drive to Covington or wherever the hell another BMW dealership is located. This dealership engages in some shady business practices and constantly tries to find a way to nickel and dime you for the smallest of jobs. For instance, imagine you bring your car in with service issues, and their mechanics mistakenly perform a tire alignment, which does not fix the problem AND should not have been done in the first place because the issue was actually caused by one faulty tire. Then, after you bring it back for them to correct the ACTUAL problem, they will try to charge you for a second alignment b/c they had to remove the faulty tire and realign it... which makes sense, right? Best part is, after you complain incessantly to get the attention of one of the mouth-breathers with some management authority, you may get a "credit" at their dealership for some future sh*t work... but make sure you get it in writing because they will inevitably, and shamelessly, attempt to deny you your credit the next time you come in. BOTTOM LINE - Don't give your money to these incompetents. They have never kept their word regarding any service they have provided to me or my family, and they clearly do not give a **** about customers. read more

I used to love their service. For the past 2 years it was great. Now it's become a joke. When too many people call in, the Phone system goes into a loop that keeps telling you about the Cisco unity phone system. Can't leave a voice mail. Over 4 days and at least 30 attempts, I only got through to a live person 3 times. Left a voice mail once and took over 24 hours to get a return call. What a shame. Going to buy a Mercedes next just cuz I couldn't deal with this again if it's become the norm. read more

Again they always seem to get away with doing half ass work and expect for you to pay with a smile. They were supposed to fix my tire a couple of months ago because it has leaked since I bought the car. I had to specify that they take the tire off and inspect it because pressing the display button is only going to confirm I put air in the tire. This seems like common sense which is like deodorant, those who need it don't have any. It took the salesman to go confirm that it was their fault and I wasn't paying anything for their screw up. I also live 3.5 hours away. I well told them my Bluetooth was messing up then after they stood around doing nothing for 30 min they told me it was too close to closing time and I would have to come back. The girl that tried to help me was super nice and almost got fired for helping me. They would not allow her to help me. Now I have to drive 3.5 hours back to New Orleans to get the navigation fixed. Oh the best part is when I got on the interstate my tire was reading low. Seriously they need to do a training course at Price LeBlanc Lexus. read more

When purchasing my 2017 BMW 750, I was promised service on par with the over $100,000 purchase price of the vehicle. Barely 4 months after purchase, I was rear-ended by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run accident while stopped at a traffic light. I have now been without a vehicle for over a month waiting on parts to arrive from Germany and I am told that the needed parts have been held up in Customs by the Department of Transportation and that there is nothing Peake can do to speed up the repairs. I have inquired whether the parts could be provided from another vehicle on their lot until the impounded parts from Germany arrive, but have been told "No, there's nothing we can do." I am less than impressed on the quality of the service compared to the glowing promises given to me at the time of purchase of the vehicle. read more

After the scheduled service was completed, the vehicle was returned with the plastic seat cover bunched up and the foot-well paper still in it, unwashed, and apparently driven for several miles for no reason! I've been taking a 2006 BMW to Peake for the last four years for service. In that time, the poor car has been hit twice and tried to run over a big chunk of metal someone thoughtfully left on the thruway on-ramp. So, my experience with Peake covers the range from routine maintenance to mechanical repair to collision services. I'm very happy with the service and think they have done a great job. They are generally efficient getting you in and out and, very important, they communicate well. The don't want you sitting around there anymore than you do. I've taken advantage of the loaner program on several occasions including a couple of short notice situations. You will hear complaints about the cost, but the labor is pretty much the same as any other dealership. No doubt, BMW parts can be expensive which is kind of annoying but it doesn't matter where you are buying them. read more

I should have posted about Peake long ago when I had to drive to Baton Rouge to purchase my new BMW X3 SUV in 2018 and my wife had to go to Baton Rouge as well to buy her 5 series after having purchased 5 BMWs from Peake previously. Their sales games were insulting and sleezy and a complete waste of time for both of us. Since we live in the New Orleans area I go to Peake for general and extended warranty issues (my warranty expires in September). Yesterday Peake had my SUV for issues related to alarm sensor malfunctions: sometimes when it rains and I am driving the left front camera sensor engages the camera and alarm (as if I am near a curb) and will not stop. This has happened 4-5 times in the last year. Additionally, sometimes when driving alone in the car with the seat belt on (as happened last week), the seat belt alarm goes on and sounds until I stop the car, disengage it and begin again. Peake checked and found no "faults" in their system, thus told me they would not change the sensors and found one sensor on the front bumper with a speck on it (perhaps from a small rock they say) and said that could be causing the alarm to sound and I would have to pay for that to be repaired. When I picked the car up and asked to see the rock damage, it was a wee speck NOT on the sensor that was giving me the problem when it rains. No offer from Peake to fix even though they're is nothing wrong with the sensor in question. They want me to video this as I am driving in rain (Imagine that.....driving in rain and videoing the dash at the same time) and if I do, I can bring the car back and they will open a "case" with BMW. Let me just say after driving 4 BMWs in my life and my spouse driving 5 (that's 9 BMWs) we are filing for divorce with BMW because of Peake. I have purchased my third vehicle from Peake and it will definetely be my last! I have had this vehicle only 6 months and each experience for service at Peake has been a headache. Last week I went in to have a diagnosis of my oil consumption (which I am still waiting on results for) and realized that my running board was damaged when I arrived home. I contacted the service manager and he immmediately took action but the problem was today, when I went to pick up my vehicle! Not only did the worker park the car in the rain instead of pulling in the covered shop, but he did not know how to put the vehicle in park! When he got out, the car started rolling. I told him and he jumped back in and I had to explain how to park the car. Can you imagine if I had not been standing there! I was in disbelief to know that someone working at a Peake dealership, driving their cars, can't operate the vehicles! It is truly sad to know that expectations, respect, and courtesy are out the window, but if this kind of service continues, Peake will be out of business just like Sears, Kmart, and many Walmart Stores! read more

This dealership has really gone down hill... Brought my car in for service and when I picked it up it looked like someone had been off road in it. The car was filthy and looked like it had been run through a broken car wash that only hit an occasional spot. When I complained to the "runner" who brought me my car he said "yea they don't do a very good job here" .. Unbelievable for a 90k car purchased less then a year ago from Peake.. I later called my service advisor to complain and shannon was very concerned. He offered me an opportunity to return and have my car detailed. I called 10 days later to schedule it and shannon said they fired all the detail guys because of the pandemic.. I said do you remember who I am ???? he said yes a guy who complained about his car... We drove 8 hours one way to purchase a certified pre owned 335i. The salesperson (Julio) was excellent. Described the car perfectly went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. BMWs are complicated cars. Yet he did all he could to make is comfortable and educated on what we were buying. Finance was easy to work with and we took a beautiful car home. I will certainly consider the drive for the next BMW we buy. These folks are nice people with great customer service.
