The short is I bought a vehicle from Premier Kia in Kenner in June 2024 and to date the vehicle has been "serviced" by Premier Kia including being sold the vehicle that belonged to their sales manager but I found out after purchase had open safety recalls with the turbo motor and oil leakage and their sister lot Premier Nissan which allegedly replaced the motor and the turbo motor that was included in the safety recall and allegedly fixed by Premier Kia after the purchase, I am still have mechanical failures and safety issues. I have only been able to use the vehicle for approx. 4 months since the date of purchase due to mechanical and financial issues. read more

I've yet to have my car for a good 6 months. Not to mention when I first bought it, 2 days later it had to go back and was kept for a month +. Then after that, had to keep bringing it back. It's like nobody understood how if you know, check everything the first time, I wouldn't keep having issues with this car. It's really giving lemon at this point. I'm extremely disappointed with my 2017 Kia Sorento and Kia's warranty practices. At 95,000 miles, I reported a serious oil consumption issue. The dealership did a 3-part oil consumption test and told me the "overnight soak" fixed it. I specifically asked if the repair would be covered under the 100,000-mile powertrain warranty if the issue came back, and I was told yes. At 101,500 miles, the same oil consumption problem returned -- and suddenly Kia says the car is out of warranty and they won't cover it. The issue was reported AND documented before 100,000 miles, so it should be covered. This feels dishonest and incredibly frustrating. Not impressed with Kia's warranty support at all and will never do business with Kia again. What good is 100,000 mile warranty if the dealership's practice is misleading. read more

I will NEVER go to this dealership again!!! I wouldn't refer a dog, cat, or a mouse. Purchased my new vehicle in November 2023. Had one free oil change, then the second one I was charged $109. They overfilled my oil tank with 7 quarts. I went to 5 minute oil change today, and was told to go back to the dealership to talk to someone because they put too much oil in my tank and could've caused damage to my entire engine. Went to the dealership today, spoke to a tall, big, light skinned man who pretended to be looking in the computer while holding my receipt from the last visit. I guess he was offensive that I didn't allow them to service my vehicle and someone else caught their error. He gon tell me they use a machine to put oil in the car. I said I don't care what you use, I'm telling you what was just told to me. I am a college student and I can't afford a new vehicle if my engine would've blown. I am a female who doesn't know what to look for. My husband and I bought a used car from this dealership. The whole process was a pain from the beginning. We paid cash but still had to wait for them to go back and forth and get everything together...we were there well over an hour AFTER we paid. They didn't clean the car nor put gas in it so that's not the reason for the wait. The worst was yet to come. I've NEVER purchased a car from a dealership and then been told I had to go transfer the title and pay the taxes/fees somewhere else, until now. I'm not sure what type of people purchase from here but this has been the BIGGEST HEADACHE EVER! We ended up going to ABC title who had longer than usual wait times. Misleading practices. brought the car in to be serviced (waited since Feb for a part to come in and was never called when it actually arrived). While the car was in for service, was contacted by sales staff saying that they wanted to make me an offer on my car to trade our 2022 car for a 2024 model. Was told the trade would be $26,000. Was contacted by a second salesperson (the same one who sold us the first car two years ago) and was told that the trade would now be $24000. The price listed on the new car is $30000. The new car won't be delivered to the dealership until late August. Go to the dealership to work it a deal and put a deposit down on the car, only to be shown numbers that the trade will be $22000 (and they added the "tax savings for trading the 2022 in at $2000), thus making my trade $24000 (manipulating numbers). Lastly, they added $3000 "market adjustment" to the price of the vehicle and told me it wasn't optional. When you look at their website at their "click here for today's market price", there is NO additional market adjustment listed of any amount. When I told them I wasn't paying that, was told that they could "reduce it some", but now I'm frustrated and completely done. I didn't pay a "market adjustment" two years ago and I'm sure not paying one now. There's a reason why people hate the car buying process, and these folks are a prime example. Don't fall for these scams that add thousands of dollars to your deal, they'll try their best to hide and deceive to add to their bottom line. read more

After 145 days, my husband picked up my daughters license plate. There is not a single employee that I can say helped us during this time. From the car being registered to the wrong owner, the receptionist that doesn't know email addresses, to the general manager being on vacation and never returning messages or phone calls...this was a nightmare. Rude, unprofessional, unethical, deceitful. Premier Kia has been horrible to do business with from the beginning. I purchased a new 2022 Kia Rio on 7/13. Ashton Arrington, sales, provided me with a monthly payment and total much higher than discussed then stated that he could lower my total, but my monthly payment would increase with no explanation as to why when asked. First lie. Ashton Arrington contacted me almost exactly a month on 8/15 after I purchased the vehicle stating that my monthly payment is lowered, they need me to come in sign new paperwork, and he doesn't know why. Second lie. I was sick and requested that he provide details or allow me to review paperwork. He stated that finance manager, Duane Spencer, does not do that and I need to come in person. I pleaded with him for information and Arrington stated that he would ask them. Days later on 8/18, I asked again about the paperwork. Ashton Arrington stated that they couldn't send me anything and they haven't given any information as to why or how my account is changing. Third lie. I emailed Duane Spencer expressing my discomfort with the lack of communication and details from the dealership on 8/19. He stated that I can definitely review the paperwork and to give him a few. Still no details. Fourth lie. Duane Spencer did not communicate with me for over one month regarding paperwork needed from the bank, Keesler, to finalize my loan until over a month later when it was cancelled by the bank due to lack of communication from Premier Kia, specifically Duane Spencer. Communication attempts from Keesler to Duane began on 7/19 for finalization of the application. I called Duane after receiving another hard inquiry on my account on 8/22 from Kia, and Duane told me that Keesler denied me. Duane screamed at me on the phone when I told him that I spoke with the bank and discovered the true nature of the situation repeating that I "will not accuse him of doing anything immoral, unethical, or illegal". Lost count of the lies. Duane Spencer had actually created a new loan application for me on 8/22 to finance directly through Kia for double the interest rate with a higher monthly payment. I contacted the corporate office and filed a complaint which has yet to be resolved through Kia or even attempted to be resolved by Maurice Sarria, sales manager. Sarria stated that they have a complaint made and now they need to find a resolution. Sarria and the entire Kia team had not accepted any accountability for their negligence, lack of communication, and deception. I spoke and met with John Oliver, General Manager, who was not helpful in finding a resolution. In fact, I had a proposal from Duane Spencer stating that my interest rate would be 6% and John Oliver stated that it would be 6.25% but that he would honor what was sent to me. He did not find a resolution, honor what was proposed secondarily, or lower what was sent by Duane. He actually raised the secondary offer. I said I have no other options at this point as I am leaving in the morning, so I will sign for this. I have attached some photos of my correspondence with the dealership showing their lack of response to a situation that could have been resolved as early as 7/19. The level of unprofessionalism and negligence, whether intentional or due to incompetence, has been astronomical with Premier Kia. I want to make sure that their shady business practices do not occur to more. John Oliver should be ashamed of himself for his team's actions as they are obviously a direct reflection of his own. read more

Terrible service. I went out there a few weeks ago, and the guy walked us all over the lot, only to realize he doesn't have the Telluride in stock. We go inside so he could "talk" to his manager. He's in there forever and comes out and lets us know actually he has one, walks us back all over the lot, we get to the car, and it's not the trim I want. We thank him and leave. I see on the website today that they have 10 Tellurides in stock, we drive out there and a different guy greets me and asks what we are looking for, I say we are interested in buying a Telluride. But I want every customer or potential customer to read this review before purchasing your next "KIA" vehicle. THEY ARE NOT TRAINED TO WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. Everything has to go through the tech line. And the tech line will tell the technician what is needed to fix your car. This is the second Kia dealership I have been to. And I must say the service here is worst than ever. Let's start from the beginning. I brought my car in to check to see why the defroster was not working. I was called, and told my car was ready to be picked up. When I picked up my vehicle, the cover under the steering wheel was not clipped back together. The wires and cover just hanging. Then of course the problem was not fixed. I called and spoke with the assistant manager who told me to bring my car in whenever I will have time again. Well, I show up and there's a line down Veterans Blvd with no service adviser or technicians in the building. So I come back another day/week to drop my car off. Only to be told that the part they order is not the right fit for my vehicle. Now I have sent emails to the manager and assistant manager because at this point I am tired of the back and forth. No one has time to keep coming back or to be without a vehicle. And besides, I have a very important meeting to get to. I have allotted 2 days of inconvenience and that's all I can give you. Mysteriously after my emails were sent the parts magically appeared in stock. And of course, I had to get an attitude from the assistant manager telling me "well you could have brought it back to the previous dealership that worked on your vehicle." "No, I brought it there. Close to my job. Because it's always some BS with y'all and I know you're gonna have to keep it. Please don't talk to me like I am crazy. Yes, I could take my business elsewhere and you can also be without a job. Someone needs to be done with these dealerships. Very unethical, especially the finance manager, Herbert Jones. I am still waiting on a $3600 credit for a warranty refund he was supposed to issue. Not only do I not have the warranty, I don't have my $3600. That was over six weeks ago. Do not trust Herbert or any manager at Premier Kia. I left several messages for Herbert and the managers over the last 6 weeks and they have not returned my calls. Our sales person, Alex, was not helpful in resolving the issue. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I came back to sign papers for a 2020 Kia Soul and it was out on loan. I was assured that if I signed the papers I would get the car serviced etc before it came to me. It took 2 days of IDK and it's coming to finally get the car and the interior was definitely not clean. After less than 500 miles and no payment even made yet, I notice today my front tires are balding. Sales Manager basically talks to me like I'm stupid and tells me I bought a used car and it passed inspection, when I'm sitting here with mechanics right now looking at my car telling me the tires are not okay. This is the cherry on top of a bad experience. Ashton Arrington was not a good salesperson, I also overheard another salesperson in store speaking a lot of transphobic talk to a coworker while I was waiting hours to get into finance. I brought my BRAND NEW car, that I brought off of the SHOWROOM floor, there for recalls and because my air conditioner was blowing hot air. When i went to pick it up 2 weeks later, there was multiple scratches on the door and on the seats there's also 2 dents on the door. I'm just so mad. I can't believe it. Impossible to get someone to call you back. I traded in a car here several months ago and received a towing bill. The towing company suggested I call the dealer. I have called at least 10 times. Transferred to different departments. Left many voicemails. NO ONE has returned my call. I guess I will have to physically go in to the dealership for them to help me. The one department that did answer (accounting) was not interested in hearing my problem and put me on hold abruptly and didn't pick back up. Ridiculous that they ignore calls. read more

This was one of the weirdest and worst dealership experiences of my life. I got my credit approval through Kia directly and they sent it over to Premiere (that name does NOT apply to this place). Come on down! Good news we can get you in your lease. I make an appointment. The guy from the phone I made the appointment with fobs me off on some other guy who can't find the keys to the car in the lot so I can test drive a different one. He walks me back to a dented, DIRTY used car (at least of the same model). Doesn't say anything helpful at all during the test drive. He didn't know anything about the car. No idea on trim levels. Nothing about gas mileage. He knew literally less than any car salesman I ever met. Trade ins? Sure. We will get your trade in. The mechanic gets into my car, no mask, does the work up. They come out to me with a number. $17k. No explanation why it's $5000 less than the online tool offered me. "That's just what our computer says". I ask why? Who knows? Not this guy. At that point I just grabbed my keys and left. Found another dealership a few hours away. Few phone calls later (and a straight up $22k trade in offer) and they're driving my new car to me in a few days. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! read more

Bought a used Kia Sorento in early September. Almost 4 1/2 months later and they still haven't paid the state taxes, title and registration fees so I can't get my registration or plates. Been driving on expired temp tags and keeping my fingers crossed every time I get behind the wheel. To call this place is futile- nobody is ever at their desk or returns calls. POOR Customer Service Service Department has changed over the years for the worse. Employee moral is extremely low as employees talk openly to customers of the bad processes that have been made by management. Employees are even being confrontational to customers. Service appointments are not being met, and has left customers uninformed on their progress on the vehicle. Service Managers and General Managers leave early in order to avoid explaining to customers why their vehicle was not serviced, and even looked at. I had a service appointment for my 1st oil change and 2 recall repairs. i had an email confirming the 3 things i needed done and told them when i arrived. They fixed the recall issues but failed to change the oil after 2 hours. They had to take the vehicle back in and it was another hour to get the oil changed. They acted like it was not their fault and was not a big deal. I called the service manager the next day, left a message and still have not received a call back. Avoid this dealership, there is a reason they have a 1.5 rating, which may be a little generous. read more

The good first, they've always been very polite to me. When I bought my car, it was a mess but they were polite in fixing the problems. There was supposed to be a rebate and I sent it in and the manufacturer didn't honor it. I came back complaining and they gave me my money. I got the car delivered to my house. The next morning the car didn't start... they towed it back and gave me a new battery. My wheel lug key broke, they took it off for me no charge. They send me and pick me up from maintenance services with Lyft. They call me to keep me updated with maintenance. They are very polite. They've never messed up any working parts to make a sale as has been done to me by speedy oil change and firestone. They are pretty good with fixing things. I've only had basic maintenance done here and recall work. No mechanical problems when they are finished. Everything always fixed. They inspect and give good recommendations of what else needs to be done. I always inspect what they claim and I have never been lied to. I've never seen them miss recommending repair or maintenance that was needed either. I have been very happy with my 2014 Kia Optima EX that I bought here new. I was told by many that Kias suck... I don't agree. I've owned other brands midsize sedans new and always a problem. No problems with my Kia Optima. I am happy with my purchase. I'm at 143,000 miles and this thing is still running smoothly, still has power, ac still cold, but When mine craps out, I would probably buy another Kia. Hopefully their prices don't start raising to their competitors levels... The Optima EX I got was at least $6,000 less compared to an equivalent of the competition in 2014. Now to The bad, They are expensive with their services, all dealers are. Their parts are expensive if you want to do it yourself. There have been 3, but For the last recall work I had done recently, they told me it was going to take 3 hours... it literally took 3 weeks !!!!! If I didn't have a second toy car that I love driving, I'd be furious !!!! So take what you will from this review. They are Not the best service but not the worst. If I ever need engine or transmission work, I will not hesitate to bring my Kia here because I don't have the tools for that but more importantly I don't trust my engine or transmission to lazy wanna be mechanics who don't work with kias regularly. the Kia mechanics here have shown they can do things right, albeit at a heftier price than I'd like.
