    Black licorice bridge mix
    Melissa T.

Driving home from San Diego. We stopped in Yuma and I went inside the peanut patch. It's a cute store with lots of yummies! I purchased like $70 worth of goodies to try including canned jams . Lately, I've liked the black jellybean. Which is not something I normally like they had this bridge mix and I bought a bag. Now I'm obsessed with it. It's so freaking good. I was so upset that I only bought one bag. I went to their website and realized I could order from their website and I did I got my bridge mix. I was also able to buy some peanut brittle which I had not purchased before and glad I did. It was really fresh and delicious. I don't have much to do in Yuma but next time we stop through I'll definitely be going to the peanut patch again If I could only change one thing. It would be that they would sell T-shirts that say Yuma only because my husband wanted one and we couldn't find one anywhere.

Fun stop! Lots of random goodies if you like to browse and they have the best fudge. Great place to stop to get fresh peanut butter. The honey peanut butter is our family's favorite and the big 2 lb container will typically last a few months at least!

This is such a fond and wonderful memory for me

A long time ago, when I was really little 5 or 6 my parents took me to a Peanut Farm to pick my own . That was such a fond memory of mine, I literally looked for decades to find that peanut place to see if I could go back. I was thrilled out of my mind to find not only are they in business, but right here in Yuma !! I got to visit with their wonderful owner Donna who owns The Peanut Patch now, and Samantha and Pattie here at the fair. I went to the store yesterday and got so many delicious goodies, and all those memories filled my day with so much joy. This is a terrific place, great family values, and yummy food, nuts, and fudge. It's a must visit.

For those of us in Phoenix, we'll have to make the trip to Yuma, but it's worth making the drive for a day trip or doing an overnighter. I had the lasagna...an item that was taken off the menu but recommended by the owner (Mario) since they made some that day. It's gone now, and I savored every bite--sorry about that. Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". To summarize: -Imported ingredients from Italy -Fresh vegetables -Mellow atmosphere -Service and dialog with Mario -Outstanding food Highly recommended! I'll take pictures and post them next time we dine here.

Mario's clear goal is to bring the authentic flavors of his home to you, here in Yuma. My mom and I shared the veggie salad, caprese antipasti (comes with delicious bread) , and a slice each from the slice menu. The textures and portions were just right (no watery or oversalted dishes here!) There's a great selection of Italian wines, and they even do wine tasting events! I'll be back sooner than later.

The two ladies who are there are very helpful and they do their best to make you feel at home. In other words, they're there to support you in your pursuit to discover your inner artist. Based on my first ever visit, I notice that there's quite a nice diversity of guests to come. One can tell most of them are not newbies to Artsy Fartsy, and it looks like some who came over are friends. I myself came with two good friends, and for all it's worth, having them sitting right next to me really made me feel at ease, having to sit in a sea of perfect strangers. And yes, we had snacks of fresh fruit, bite-sized chocolates, and pretzels LoL but we didn't bother with eating because, as I've said before, it was very hard to eat and paint and drink. I might bring me a bottle of white moscato wine next time, just to get the total experience!
