I just discovered this Salon over the weekend, via Yelp, and was able to make an online appt. (my fave) for Erin's one remaining slot on Sunday. (Erin is the owner, but there are other stylists- you schedule with each of them individually, either online or via text it seems). I was sold by the sustainability factor (hair waste gets donated to help clean up oil spills, etc.) and the reasonable prices. I also like how you can choose to get a dry cut or full cut-and-style, because I prefer to just walk in and walk out without the whole shampoo-blow-dry stuff. Erin understood exactly what I wanted (even though I'm not always sure how to phrase it) and checked in with me before finalizing it to make sure the length etc. was satisfactory. It was easy to have a casual, enjoyable conversation with her as she cut without it feeling like obligatory or pointless small talk, and I usually feel awkward about that kind of thing.
