Meli (one of the owners) is my hair stylist for life. When we moved from New York I probably tried half a dozen hair stylists before I met Meli. I won a haircut with her from a charity auction and was THRILLED with my cut. Not only was my haircut amazing but talking to her felt easy and natural! I always walk out feeling like a million bucks and months later my hair is still easy to style. She also never pressures me to color my hair which many, many other stylists have always done. Thank you Meli! As for the salon, everyone that works there is professional and friendly. It's designed really well with comfy seating--my neck doesn't even hurt when my hair gets washed. This place is my official go to for hair & nails Hair - my forever stylist is Jessica E. She takes your lifestyle and hair habits into consideration when cutting and styling your hair so that you can replicate it on your own. I wanted to change my hair color but didnt want to commit so she suggested a gloss. In my opinion, it's like "spray tanning" your hair. I got a darker shade that lasted a few weeks. I dont cut my hair often but when I do, I always go to Jessica. (This post is long overdue so I do not have any hair pix) Nails - the nail tech that did my nails was Cathy. I told her I wanted my nails as short as possible and she delivered (I personally do not like long nails). The entire process took two hours which included removing old gel (that was done at a different salon), painting the different coats/colors and finishing with cuticle oil/lotion. She is very meticulous and I appreciated her attention to detail. Although I was not a client of the other nail tech (Christina) I know her work is great as well. Both ladies do awesome work but they do book fast so I suggest booking at least a month in advance. Love supporting small business, esp. Ones that are women owned. Great environment with a chic, clean interior. I usually park on the street right in front of the salon. I highly suggest this place! read more

I love! It's in such a great area- parking around the corner, right off of York in highland park so grabbing a coffee right before was zero stress. The staff are kind and accommodating, I love the vibe- mellow, thoughtful and easy. I've had cuts and highlights- meli does phenomenal work. Warning : long review ahead!!! The moment you walk in, the staff gives you the warmest welcome. As soon as you get checked in they offer you water or coffee and offer you a gown. I have been with Christine (the best color specialist) for many years now and I don't trust anyone else with my hair. Christine makes your vision come true and never disappoints. She is also the sweetest person! But also all the women in the salon are the most positive and caring towards you even if you're not their client. This salon is amazing. I have been seeing Meli for a few years now, and knew I'd come see the new space as soon as I had the chance. Meli was booked out for a few weeks so I opted for "first available" knowing that anyone that Meli has be a part of her salon would be great. I was not wrong. I had Jessica, who did a long cut and CBD treatment for me. I had performed a number of unfortunate trims on myself during the past year and Jessica managed to bring life and style back to my crown. The CBD conditioning treatment is so legit. I gave birth in January and my hair has been ravaged by the ups and downs of my hormones. The treatment has given me back a lot of shine! Jessica's skills were no joke. She has such a friendly and open vibe. She took time to gently explain what was working for me and what was not. We decided together the best route to go. She gave me some beautiful long layers that blend beautifully and cleaned up the mess I had made. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. My appointment was for Labor Day weekend...felt like the hair stylist just wanted her holiday weekend free at my expense. Very disappointed. Very unprofessional. Beautiful beautiful salon! I first came here when I was struggling with my uneven red hair color. I was definitely looking to get it fixed, however, to my surprise, my stylist (Korinthia) said it wasn't possible. That I had to lift my color altogether in multiple sessions or go darker. I then chose to go darker, but I remember feeling super judged as it was just a "bandaid decision" for now. To my surprise, I ended up really liking the darker color and was happy with my decision despite feeling pressured to lift my hair. They said they would write down the mix for the next time I got my hair touched up and in the end I walked away satisfied with how everything turned out. Fast forward to today, I drove all the way to Pasadena from West Hollywood to get my hair done again. I showed up to the salon, and Korinthia greeted me again. She's VERY nice. However, when she asked what we were doing today, my response was the original color she mixed up for me last time. She then proceeded to say that she couldn't find the formula nor had she written it down. She said she was willing to come up with a new solution.. and my response was a simple question, asking if there was any way possible that she could call her manager to help with the situation (as she helped with my color solution my last visit). She wouldn't even do that, and then proceeded to express that she wouldn't be taking me on as a client that day because she "felt" that maybe I wasn't the right fit for her. I walked away from the chair feeling very confused. And I am very disappointed to say the least as I drove all the way out to this salon only to be turned away from the chair. It felt like it was a really big slap in the face and very unprofessional, as all I had done was express my concerns. I felt she (Korinthia) took it very personally INSTEAD of professionally. I believe, it's how you handle moments in conflict that show who you are as a stylist and she unfortunately did not handle this situation well whatsoever. read more

It was super low maintenance (exactly what i asked for) and gave me what I wanted, volume. I would definitely go back for their hair treatments.
