    Low maintenance balayage

I've been seeing gregga for years now! Followed her from when she was in hawaiian gardens, to LA, and now to her very own salon! She's been able to recreate every look I've asked of her, and she's the only one I've trusted to dye my thick black hair over the years. I always get compliments months after getting my hair done because of the color placement and her shampoo/conditioner recommendations have helped me keep up with it. I am currently a student and I work and she definitely makes the time to fit in my busy schedule. Not only that the cost is more than reasonable for the amount of work she puts in. She even gives me tips on how to style my hair or any products that will help it.

I needed to change up my hair with a cut and something fun, and Monica really hooked me up with both! She helped me with deciding what would be both healthiest and the best looking for my hair, and we ultimately decided on dying my hair black with a pop of pink on my bangs, as well as doing a wolf cut. I wanted to keep my hair length, and she did a really good job with the layers while still preserving length. Overall, I felt really taken care of at Gregga, Monica did such an amazing job with the color and cut, I don't think I'll go to any other salon from this point forward. I am more than happy with the result and I love my new

If you're thinking about it, do it. Lizelle is my girl. She got me! I had been bouncing around stylists, never really feeling comfortable anywhere else. Lizelle is great because she understands what I want and knows what she's doing. My hair feels so soft and healthy. And my hair gets all the compliments. My Lyft driver even said "People say perfection doesn't exist but there it is, your hair." Really glad I found this salon. Everyone seems really nice and the vibe is pretty chill. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, clean salon where the bright colors immediately fill you with great energy. I love having an excuse to come out from Midcity LA to get in some self-care! This review in particular goes out to Monica, who's a certified BEAST in fun colors & tones. She's done my hair 3 times now & every single time I come out looking & feeling incredible. I've been every color of the rainbow except for all black; going into our last appointment I only knew which colors I wanted on my head & NOTHING ELSE! So this color melty charcoal to neon balayage goodness you see here was completely Monica's idea. She also refreshed my money piece & layers & made sure I was comfortable the entire time. If you're feeling bored or uninspired & want a sexy lil change, look no further than Monica & Gregga LA!!!

Just had my hair dyed for the first time ever with Lizelle - highly recommend! Lizelle was great at answering all my questions leading up to the appointment. I was a little worried about such a big change but she did a great job in turning my virgin hair blonde, while keeping my hair super healthy. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks Lizelle!

Monica is absolutely amazing!! Made my hair dreams come true and she's super sweet too! I'm definitely coming back to her forever!! Came in today with faded purple/pink split hair and she transformed me to pink/orange split! I FEEL SO BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks Monica!

I live in South LA and drive to Glassell Park for this haircut, that should be indication enough of how much I have loved my past two cuts. You can really customize your experience with their online scheduler, i.e. if you want to have a chill or chatty appointment, bang trim or full cut, etc. You can send pictures before your appointment so you're both on the same page. And there is always parking which is a huge must in LA. Gregga is great! I always leave feeling confident and ready to take on the world. Already scheduled my next appointment!

Go get your hair done with Erika!
    Veronica V.

I 100000% percent recommend Gregga LA for any of your hair needs! Erika gave me my detailed haircut for today. Erika took the time to listen to my needs/concerns + understand my day-to-day life so that I would be given the perfect haircut that fit my lifestyle! Erika explained every step of the haircut process so I knew exactly what to expect. On top of that, Erika is just a great person to talk to, very personable, and very attentive! I am so happy with my new hair! I am definitely coming back for more thank you Gregga LA and thank you Erika!

Yuji was my hairdresser, and he was so kind, precise, and skilled with my haircut. When I first walked in, I thought, "ah this really is a no frills hair salon," and I'll admit I was a little nervous since it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and will definitely be booking with Yuji again. Thank you Hair Craft for such a wonderful experience!!!

He gave him quite the glow up and gave him a style that he could wear different ways - one way would not show a lot of change from his original haircut (so as not to get teased by classmates), but he could style it a few other ways that really showed off his individual style and he absolutely LOVED that. Parking is available on the street, with a paid lot nearby near the restaurant Camelia. My partner and I both got haircuts from Manson at Roommate Salon (on separate occasions). My partner has very short hair, and I have long hair, and we're both extremely happy with the results. Manson is calm, focused, and incredibly meticulous. He also provides excellent advice tailored to your hair type. Don't expect a quick 30-minute haircut--Manson truly takes his time to ensure quality. I also had a Japanese scalp massage with Miko. You're escorted to the lockers to put your belongings away, given a cozy robe, and immediately made to feel relaxed and taken care of. The service here is honestly unparalleled--even compared to many places I've visited in Japan. The scalp cleansing feels incredible, and the head massage is so amazing that it deserves to be its own standalone service. While you're getting your hair done, they also offer a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks, making the entire experience feel thoughtful and elevated. As for Olivia--she was phenomenal. I came in with no specific hairstyle in mind. I simply pointed out the areas I was concerned about, and she expertly created a look that suited me while explaining what she was doing every step of the way. She gave me practical styling tips and genuinely focused on the long-term health of my hair. What stood out the most was that she never tried to upsell me on products or unnecessary services. Instead, she genuinely cared about making sure my hair was healthy and that I left happy with the results. That level of honesty is hard to find these days. If you're looking for a salon that values quality, craftsmanship, and customer care over making a quick sale, this is the place. The pricing is incredibly fair for the level of service and attention you receive. I can't recommend Olivia enough. I'll definitely be coming back!

It was my very first time with The Hideout Salon and not only was he understanding of any scheduling rearrangements we had to make, he also made sure to make it a point that we would be setting enough time aside for what we would anticipate needing so that when the time came, there would be zero rush along with top quality service which makes a huge difference in customer experience compared to factory booking which sacrifices quality, time, and attentiveness for squeezing in numbers, and as clients we all greatly appreciate this! While I was waiting Allie was very sweet and settled me in/welcomed me and offered me something to drink. The decor of the place felt very cozy and cute. If youre a dog lover you'll also be very happy to probably see a friendly cute Lil doggo named Carl (Karl?) comfortably shimmying his way around the shop (and if youre scared of dogs dont worry, he really just does his own thing Lol). Hes So darn cute and floofy. I came in for both a color and a consultation for a potential cut. Because I sometimes tend to notice/look at details that others may want to gloss over or perceive as me overanalyzing, it felt really difficult for me to explain to others how my recent haircut from another place just a month or two ago had specific lengths and cuts in specific areas going around my whole hair that had left my previous haircut feeling kind of "off" in certain ways and that I felt was giving my hair the very slight illusion of looking shorter than it actually really was and a little "choppy" in some areas, which then had an effect on how it framed my face/widened it instead of helping elongate it. But when I explained it to Daniel, he totally got it and even held up the individual sections that he agreed were causing those effects, why it was creating the effect that it was and how we would resolve it. I was so happy that he not only truly acknowledges and makes it important to understand where his clients are coming from (whether its concerns or goals etc) but that he also has such skill and knowledge to be able to fully do so and hit the nails right on the head. The color was also beautiful as well and because I wanted something that was healthier than permanent that would also give my hair a healthier appearance (ie shine, softness, gloss etc) he recommended the demi and also mentioned that it would make it easier down the road for me to go lighter if I ever wanted to. The color blended and matched so well with the rest of my hair and everything from the cut to the color made me feel like all of my goals were achieved. Everything Daniel did with my hair left me feeling so *Bonita*, and he was just such a joy to work with and an awesome person all around. Thank you Daniel for this lovely experience :) -------------------------------- Parking: Since the salon is in the heart of Downtown, its best to try and arrive a bit earlier than your appointment time and to be prepared for alot of one way streets and quickly turning into the available open public parking lots closeby before passing the salon (to avoid having to go further down in a circle to get back to the parking again). I believe there are 2 or 3 lots before you pull up to the salon that have big signs that say public parking. If youre driving towards the direction of the salon, out of the 3 the first one youll pass is just self-service/pay which was the one I parked in, and the other two have attendants as you pull up to the salon. Im not sure if both of those allow open access to all, so i will find out the next time I go again :) The front of the salon itself can be very easy to miss so just make sure to park before you even pass it on your GPS and youll see a small little sign over a door that says the Hideout salon when you walk up. There will be a door code for you to enter so just ask the salon for the door code in advance so that youre all set to go when you get there as well :)

I trusted his judgement, his suggestions, and his overall vision for my hair, and I'm so glad I did. This is the first time in my life I've walked out of a hair appointment with my expectations truly exceeded. I left The Hideout completely blown away by the results and didn't feel the need to tweak, adjust, or "fix" anything afterward, which is rare. Even the blow-dry/silk press combo lasted a full week. Daniel is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely to spend time with. I've absolutely found my stylist and will 100% be back.
