Their instagram and website are user friendly and highly informative so that clients know exactly what they'll be getting. Appointments are needed and can be booked on the main website. My appointment was with Carina, and she is my new hair stylist angel. I initially booked for a foilyage, but turned it into a bold-color-yage (my new term, hehe). The base is essentially a foilyage, but with Carina's magic made it lilac/violet. It was a long process that took about 6 hours, as expected, due to my dark hair going light. During this time, Carina made sure I was comfortable, hydrated, and somehow I also felt like a new bestie with the great talks we had. Gregga Prothero gave me the BEST haircut I've ever had in my life! No exaggeration. She knew exactly what I was trying to explain and envision. I really appreciate that the salon sends out a form to fill out where I could include reference photos and explain what I was going for prior to the haircut. I found Gregga's salon by chance and I'm so grateful I took a chance with them! I decided I needed to chop off my peakaboo balayage, and I got paired with Amy. When I say Amy is amazing... Amy. IS. She's been able to recreate every look I've asked of her, and she's the only one I've trusted to dye my thick black hair over the years. I needed to change up my hair with a cut and something fun, and Monica really hooked me up with both! She helped me with deciding what would be both healthiest and the best looking for my hair, and we ultimately decided on dying my hair black with a pop of pink on my bangs, as well as doing a wolf cut. I looked high and low for hair stylists that had portfolios that showcased hair cuts and not just color jobs and found Erika at Gregga. I've always been meh/laidback about my haircuts - every hair cut I've gotten has been okay, but never good enough for me to commit to one hair stylist. However, I think that's changed today! Erika really listened to my concerns and what I was looking for, often consulting me throughout the process and making me feel comfortable enough to voice my opinion. She also walked me through what she was doing as she was blow drying/styling my hair as I voiced that I didn't like the way it waved after it dries, which no one has historically had the patience to do. She styled it straight, made a few more cuts, and even gave me beach waves to show me how it would look wavy. Overall service at Gregga is also top-knotch. They ask you comfort level with mask on/off, whether you're allergic to anything ahead of washing your hair, etc. They're extremely thoughtful of their customers and that alone goes the extra mile with me. Their booking system is extremely easy online (I was able to make a next-day appointment online) and all pricing is available online. Not only is she a brilliant and super talented hair stylist, she is such a warm, kind, friendly, and overall lovely person. She is very professional with her consultations and will let you know what is possible or not possible based on your beginning hair. I have super thick, black hair and so it definitely takes some time for the hair lightening process. Gregga takes her time and I'm usually in the chair a few good hours. It is always great catching up with her! I've done a hair cut (no color), vivid color hair cut, and balayage hair cut services. Each time, I am absolutely thrilled with the results (see pictures!). I haven't been to any of the other stylists but they all look amazing based on the IG feed! I love that each person has their own style and the vivid & creative colors are always something to admire on Instagram. Gregga and the team take COVID precautions seriously. Everyone wears a mask, and there is also an air purifier near the entrance. I've gone twice in 2021, and I've felt 100% safe both times. Last but not least, the salon space itself is super cute. Parking is so easy with a large shared lot. Also, the bright yellow walls and custom cut out mirrors give the whole place a super fun vibe. Chairs are comfortable and they have hooks for your purse.
