After nearly 5 years of service I needed to terminate service due to moving out of the area. I…read morecontacted Irvington Gas by phone, was greeted by a raspy female voice whom turned really rude when I told her I needed to end the service. She went over my account and stated I have a balance and needed to pay it, very rudely like a creditor. I told her I needed the tank removed and a refund for the propane that's still in the tank. I'm giving four stars for past service, the techs that installed the tank were really friendly and knowledgable. Never had an issue with them until I needed to terminate service.

in previous years they were fine, until they swapped out our tank for a bigger one without our…read morepermission then charged us for it. we paid it anyway, we have the price guarantee that involves courtesy checks/fills. previous years they came out once a month to check us in the cooler months. after the change of the tanks we never seen them until we ran out of propane, then acted like they weren't going to come out until the follow week. Communication with them is ridiculous and everyone there seems bothered by your phone call, potentially rude even. I called them about the $1000+ bill they left after we ran out and asked for some help with the bill. I understand that I could/should've checked the tank level but they're supposed to do courtesy checks. Wasn't asking for free but a little break since it was 50/50 fault but was still expected to pay full price.
