We wanted to build a custom engagement ring and working with Paffrath was not only an amazing experience, but the result was stunning. Not only that, but very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend if you want to build a non-traditional ring, use Paffrath. The turnaround on the engagement ring was only a month or so, and it'll be about the same for the bands as well. From what I've heard from family dealing with big jewelers in the cities, I feel like I should send everyone down to Paffrath. You'll get what you pay for and more. Can't wait to see our bands :)

I was recently there to drop off a watch for some modification to the bracelet. The woman I spoke with was very nice. She told me it would probably be done later that day. Sure enough, a few hours later I received a text telling me I could pick it up. I was also pleased to find out how inexpensive the service was. I will definitely be back. Unfortunately, recent development on Cedar Avenue has reduced the amount of store front parking, but it's still not that much of an issue.

Here they sized it for me and also were so honest and told me about the risk of changing the size. They gave me valuable information about this type of metal, it has a history of loosing stones eventually bc it is a soft metal. Also, when the size is changed bc of the design of my ring, it may then rub on the sides of my other fingers bc it will be brought down more to get the correct size. I got it sized. They did a beautiful job and I am glad they were so honest. Hard to find that in companies any more. Everyone was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this business.

In doing so they gave us a verbal estimate of how much it would cost so we could give them $150 to do a drawing and get a more accurate estimate. Before I was willing to go forward and risk my $150 they assured me it would be close to that estimate. Industry standard is a 10% change on verbal estimates. I gave them my $150 and they came back with a quote 50% higher than the number they convinced me into giving them $150. I was wanting to go through Patterson's but they gave me no good explanation on why they would go up 50% of the original estimate. They said there is nothing they could do and I would have to pay the 50% increase or loose out on that $150. This shop was very deceitful and I no longer trust them. Be cautious!
