Told me he could fix my screen and made sure he had them in stock before I took the drive from Attleboro for my IPhone XR. Drove to the shop and he greeted us and was kind and friendly. He took a look at my XR and told me 45 mins and he will be done with it I was super excited. Then I continued to ask him questions he explained to me about glass vs fabric screen saver and even put it on for me after he fixed my screen. I couldn't be more happy with his work and the way he presents himself and his work. Everyone quoted me 250 he fixed my IPhone XR and put a screen saver on and with tax and a tip for 196.00. I have had Phil worked on my MACBOOK AIR 2 times and each time, he was proficient and professional. The first time I dropped it off, it was just a simple glitch so he just charged the normal fee. I had a problem with it again a few weeks later with it. Phil carried over the $25.00 that I had already paid and fixed the water damage that had happened with in a couple days. Phil as a business owner myself I felt the need to come on here and defend myself and my original review. I understand why you would be upset but you have to look at things from the paying customers perspective. I paid for a service and didn't get what I paid for- hence my review. Regardless of the he said/she said with the family member dropping off the phone- you want to call whoever a liar- go ahead - but this is just COMMON SENSE- if I have a white iPhone- why on earth would I want a different color screen? I wouldn't and I don't know ANYBODY who would want a Frankenstein phone- especially given how expensive the service was! You are basically calling me a demanding liar- which is rude enough but ok- that's fair because I probably WAS demanding but I was extremely upset because the first time I ever walked in your store I brought you nearly $1000 in business- as I brought in several iPhones and several iPads to have the screens repaired. That is a lot of money to spend to repair screens! However we like our Apple products and we wanted them repaired and I totally get that you have to pay for services but to insist that I'm a liar and Apple doesn't know their own products is not only rude but simply untrue. Also if you go to the reviews that are "not recommended" at the bottom of your Yelp page- there are some similar to mine! Even on your main page there are a couple of reviews in which the person also was told that cheap replacement parts were used. I don't know if this is true I'm just telling you that's what Apple Genius Bar told me! Apple has a Genius Bar and they do know about their own phones and how to repair them!!! So not sure why you're saying Apple doesn't know or repair their OWN products- everyone knows this! I've had screens and phones replaced, as well as laptops and MacBooks- so yes they do know a thing or 2 about screens and replacement screens. I do believe in giving people second chances ESPECIALLY Small Business Owners but calling me a demanding liar is NOT the way to get my repeat business. Just for the record I never put a gigantic apple iPhone 6 Plus phone in my pocket in my life and yes it's true their phones do bend but that was just NOT THE case (not my case anyway).... It was a few days later & yes Apple Genius Bar did tell me that verbatim- it was the cheapest replacement screen you could buy. I have no reason to lie about what happened here. Rhode Island is a very small state and your reply speaks VOLUMES. But I just want to explain why I was so "demanding" as you call it. I was extremely upset because I gave you all that $ in business (nearly $1000) & you were VERY reluctant to change the screen back to the proper color and if things had gone differently - you probably would have gotten my repeat business and a 5 star review- as I have a 3 year old who is constantly dropping iPhones and iPads. Brought my wife's cell phone to be repaired and they told me it would be a few hours because it was a little busy that day. That was fine I picked up the phone everything was great except two days later it broke, like would not turn on. I tried to contact the business owner about it and he told me that they break and Bend all the time and that this wasn't his fault. He said when I picked up the phone it was in perfect working condition (which it WAS). Ended up bringing the phone to the Apple Genius ibar and they told me all cheap replacement parts were used the cheapest they make. I've seen similar reviews saying the same thing. I had more or less the same experience as Will T. I brought my s5 in with cracked glass knowing the digitizer had to be replaced with it. I paid a deposit of 200 for parts and I specifically asked if they were quality, OEM spec parts and I was assured they were. When I received the phone it worked and felt good, other than the glass feeling slightly more protruded, which I chalked up to maybe being a tiny amount thicker or a bit more adhesive. 5 days later the bottom of the screen didn't work and it slowly filled with ink smears and spots and became unusable. I realized going back that the warranty does not cover digitizers (not what I even needed, maybe a better shop could've separated the glass, besides the point), but in 5 days without dropping the phone and having an otterbox on there is no way it broke from impact. The way I received it was not exactly how I had dropped it off, to me that means the service isn't guaranteed. The owner insisted that I had dropped the phone or banged it on something, regardless of me telling him I hadn't, implying that I was lying. If there was any inclination of customer service or him wanting to help I would have been happy, instead I was told "it was unfortunate". read more

I brought in my Galaxy 4 S to have the digitizer repaired at Pearl Cellular. Service was very speedy. (under an hour while I waited) I paid $200 and the screen looked like new and the phone worked perfect. The problem arose four days later when the screen had ink dots all over making the phone inoperable. I went back to Pearl Cellular and was told nothing can be done when he (the owner) had told me the repair had 30 days warranty. I did not drop the phone in any manner to cause that screen to look that way. I left the store and contacted Samsung and was told that it is caused by after market digitizers (AKA) fake cheap knockoffs. I could have bought one online if I wanted to go the cheap way and done it myself. I went there because I wanted an original screen. I would not recommend this business to anyone. A business should stand behind their workmanship and product. HIGHLY HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED! read more
