BUYER BEWARE. This dealership does not stand behind the vehicles they sell. I bought a "CPO" Dodge Durango that was a demo to the finance manager or at least that is what I was told. The vehicle supposedly "Inspected" but it needs $2700 worth of brake and rotor repairs. This quote came from a local Dodge dealership that said the car had been "driven hard as xxxx". I go to Pearl to get some sort of assistance and all they will tell me is they stand by their "inspection". The car was purchased at 24,236 miles and I received the quote at 24,547 miles. There is no way this amount of damage was done in those 300 miles. I may have to pay for these repairs, but everyone will know about it in the meantime including Dodge directly. I need to know what the "Certified" means in Certified Pre-Owned. I also asked for the paperwork for the certification and the "inspection" that was completed and have not received a response on that. read more

Not the First Bad Experience -- Definitely the Last I recently purchased a 2023 Ram 1500 from this dealership. It was a used truck with low miles (25k), and while I initially came for a different Ram, I ended up settling on this one after some back and forth. Before agreeing to the purchase, I requested they remove the 4x4 stickers on the truck -- they did, but when I picked it up days later, there was still visible sticker residue even after they claimed it had been ceramic coated. Part of the deal was that I would receive a video proof of the ceramic coating process. I never got that video. Instead, I was given an excuse involving a family emergency from the salesperson -- and asked to take their word for it. Based on the condition of the truck, I seriously doubt it was actually done, but of course, I can't prove it. To make matters worse, I was promised a full tank of gas as part of the deal, but I drove off the lot with half a tank. That may seem small to some, but when promises add up and none are delivered, it speaks volumes about the dealership's integrity. This wasn't my first bad experience here -- I gave them a second chance, hoping they'd prove me wrong. Unfortunately, they didn't. After I use the two free oil changes I was promised (fingers crossed that wasn't another empty promise), I won't be returning. Would not recommend. I purchased a 2003 Hummer H2 from Pearl Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Peotone, Illinois in late January 2026. I traveled several hours from Wisconsin to purchase the vehicle. Shortly after leaving the dealership and starting my drive home, I experienced a tire failure. When I had the vehicle inspected at Discount Tire, they discovered the tires installed on the vehicle had DOT manufacturing dates from 2002 and 2003, meaning the tires were over 20 years old at the time of sale. Discount Tire advised that tires this old are unsafe due to dry rot and recommended immediate replacement of all four tires, especially on a 4-wheel-drive vehicle like a Hummer H2. I had no choice but to replace them immediately for safety reasons. When I contacted the dealership, they initially offered to reimburse half of the tire replacement cost, but later retracted that offer. During the sales process I was also told the vehicle had a Jasper transmission, but when I asked for documentation or warranty paperwork for that transmission, none was provided. Shortly after purchase I also encountered additional issues including: Check engine light Service 4WD warning Battery cable issue I have since filed complaints with the Illinois Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Illinois Secretary of State Police so the situation can be reviewed. I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a used vehicle here to inspect the vehicle carefully and verify all documentation before purchasing. read more

Had previous oil changes done there, with no problem. Last oil change we noticed check engine light was on. My husband opened the hood to check the oil, and noticed it was overfilled. Went back and talked to Russ and they drained it and reset check engine light. It's been a disaster since then. We paid $800 dollars at the Hyundai dealership, to get the part they said was needed, due to the overfill. Check engine light still on. Went back to Pearl and they didn't want to take any responsibility. They told us to talk to Rob, but he was in a meeting, and he would call us back. Never got a return call, called them back and Rob was still busy, still have not received a call from him. I would not recommend the dealership to anyone, they don't care about customer service at all. read more

We had a quite sad experience here on Saturday, May 10. We had a very informative, kind salesman help us find the Jeep we wanted. He told us a couple of times that they honor Carmax's appraisals. That made it very doable for us and we wanted to close the deal right then. However, after his manager came to talk to us, he said he couldn't find our Vin# at Carmax and he couldn't honor the offer. I should have learned my lesson the 1st time when I purchased a used 2016 Jeep Renegade 3 years back. I specifically asked them if the in car cabin filter was replaced during their Jeep certification program. They said yes...many days of bad air didn't quite help my asthma. I went on Youtube and figure out how to replace it. When I pulled out the current filter it was disgusting, black with many bugs in the filter. I called the dealership and sent them a receipt along with a comparison picture. They sent me the refund cost of the filter. Fast forward to October 5, 2021...I traded in the 2016 Jeep Renegade for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee...guess what, they showed me a piece of paper stating the filter was changed. A few days later couldn't breath so yes I checked and yep dirty filter again. It goes on...had to buy new tires, it seemed as they switched the tires that were on the title to a completely different brand the were worn. Now the front brakes don't seem to be grabbing upon stopping. SDo I called yesterday and the rep said he'd get an answer and call back. I haven't heard a peep! Now to send this to HQ. WISH WE COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! If you are shopping for a used car at this dealership - make sure you have a trusted outside mechanic inspect it before you consider purchasing it. We recently bought a used car from them. At the time of the sale the only thing we really noticed wrong was the volume control on the radio was faulty. When we asked about i, the GM abruptly let us know the entire radio would have to be replaced and they refused to do it. Thinking it was just a volume issue we decided to go had and buy the car. Two days after we took it home we realized it had more than just a radio issue. While cleaning the car my husband discovered a severely bent front rim. So he continued to inspect the car. He discovered all 4 tires were from different manufacturers!!! In addition, 3 of the tires had metal pieces in the treads. One of the tires had something bouncing around inside of it. At that point we felt mislead. This car, in our opinion, was unsafe to drive. We took it back to the dealer insisting we wanted our money back. They flat out refused claiming if the tires hold air it is safe to drive. They knew it had a bent rim but didn't fix it. They also tried to tell us it was completely normal to have 4 different tires! They were extremely rude and when we left the keys and walked out they threatened to have the car towed at our expense. After going back they grudgingly offered to replace the rim. So we left it there. Once replaced and back home, we looked at the receipt only to find they couldn't even be bothered to install a new rim. It came from a salvage yard!! During these interactions with various employees it became quite apparent at just how rude and condescending they are to customers AND employees after a sale. Whatever joy we were hoping to feel purchasing this car has been destroyed by the experience. We are already counting the days until we can get rid of it and put this behind us. We can GUARANTEE it won't be with a vehicle from Pearl Dodge EVER AGAIN! read more

The service I received was great. I just purchased a boat that I was going to pull with my Jeep Cherokee on a trip 7 days away. Come to find out that something had to be turned on at a Jeep service shop in order for the lights to work on trailers. I called all Jeep dealerships around the area and they were quoting around $200 but could fit us in the same week for something that apparently takes a few minutes to switch on. We ended up calling the Pearl dealership and told the service manager our predicament. He was super nice and fit us in a few days later. Not only did they turn on the towing at no charge but fixed a recall on the Jeep without a problem. This place is awesome. Next car I buy will be from here! read more

Took my 2010 Chrysler 200 in to get serviced after having a horrible experience at Napelton Chrysler Dodge. I was referred here by a few friends to Pearl Chrysler Dodge so I took the chance and drove to Peotone. To my suprise I received exceptional service from the staff . After taking a look at my car and doing their own diagnostic testing Andy, compared their results to the diagnostic testing paper work from the previous dealership. Not only did the other dealership tear apart my car and not put everything back before they gave it back to me they also failed to inform me that my car had 3 recalls and also tried to charge me $1,100 for parts and services I didn't even need. I will for ever be grateful for the Pearl Chrysler and their amazing service dept staff especially Andy ! Andy was completely open and honest with me about what was wrong with my car and what services needed to be done. My car was repaired in a timely manner and Andy kept in contact with me and answered the many questions I had. Once the repairs were done and I picked up my car Andy, walked me through all the repairs he did and explained to me how to prevent certain issues from getting this bad again. The repairs came out way cheaper then I was originally quoted at the previous dealership , my car was clean, tires were filled and fluids were topped off . On March 23rd 2022, I purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox from Pearl Chrysler Jeep and Dodge ram. I've made a down payment of $950 May 2022 the car's the tires one by one started leaking air and the front tire started shaking. I took the car back to Pearl Dealership were I bought it. They replaced a valve on one of the tires $36 and balanced the tires. They stated that maybe the weather was causing the tires to leak air. I had to keep on refilling air in my tires. This went on for about a couple of months eventually it got cold out and the leaking stop. The day before I was scheduled to go in to have my oil change October 17th I noticed that my engine light came on I took it back into Pearl where they changed my oil. Then I let them know hey my engine light came on. they tell me they're going to refer me to BJ's Auto repair my code reading cat efficiency. they charge more than he does and if they were to do the work would cost way more than I would probably be willing to spend. BJ's Auto repair was economical and that I should get go over and speak with him. I did only for him to tell me I needed a sensor charger he charged me $114 for what I thought was a sensor he did not put a a new sensor in but infact The receipt says a solenoid that whole experience cost me $114. Two days later as BJ predicted my engine light comes back on. I go back to Pearl and I ask Pearl to recheck check my car something about that place where you sent me is not accurate he gave me a solenoid told me it was a sensor I need you to check the car and make sure that the sensor is in there I spent 114 they check the car they said there's no new items placed inside the car I said well this guy just got me $114 go back to speak to the guy that guy tells me there's nothing he can do no refunds. Pearl says hey will take a look at the car for you and find out why the engine light is still coming on they tell me that it is my exhaust is leaking that they would fix it for me that I would have to pay a copay of $500 which I did so now this is about the middle of November 2022. They charged me a $500 deductible to fix what they said was an exhaust leak. I allowed them to do this I drive off everything seems to be fine fast forward to last January the 18th 2023 my husband and I are on our way into Chicago to have breakfast with my sister. We were on highway 394 going northbound to Chicago when our car stopped in traffic. I had the car towed to Pearl they said they will take a look. January 24th 2022 they informed me my car was dead and when they tried to turn it on it would not start they gave me codes to check and they told me that my engine was cracked that if they was to fix it it could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $7,000. I didn't agree with that because I just bought that car the car was only 9 months old they tell me there's nothing they can do about it.that sometimes after you have a car for a while these things can happen I explained to them I only had the car for 9 months they tell me there's nothing they could do about it I asked the salesman to help me with the situation he tells me he can put me in another car but that would probably double my car loan I said there's nothing you can do for me they said no this happens sometimes so right now I am looking at a $17,000 car that does not run I towed it from Pearl and it is now sitting in my driveway I have no way of fixing it and I have no way to pay for it. I still have to pay my car note which is $508 and my insurance that is $196 and I don't have a running car read more

Do not bring your car to this dealership for any service, they don't care about there customers or there customers needs. They say they fixed the issues with my vehicle. But the issues remains. Tried getting in for service for the past year. For the issues, but they don't care, and they don't try and help with needs for a loaner vehicle which is part of my service agreement. Don't bother with this dealership. I wouldn't even buy from them either. If they can't help with the vehicle you buy from them get fixed and help there customers. My initial experience with the dealership, or at least the internet sales manager at the time, Kelly, was good. I purchased a '15 Ram 2500 w/ Cummins. It did surprise me when they told me that the DEF fluid would be filled when I bought it, but the sales manager complained to my sales person when she requested it, claiming that it's expensive. 2.5 gallons cost $7.15!!! That's expensive? But here's the bad part. I now learn that they pulled off the stock tires (which only had 19k of wear on them) and put on completely different tires that were worn to pull to the side and dry rotted, something I would not have noticed when I purchased it. Tires on a truck designed to pull a heavy load are a big deal, and what they did created a safety hazard with the kind of load I pull. These are the kinds of things that give dealers a bad reputation. read more

I purchased a certified used caravan from Pearl, and when I said I was going to pick it up the next day, so have it cleaned up and full of gas, they said they do not fill them up with gas because Chrysler does not reimburse them. I had to plead the with manager on the phone to get them to put a little gas in above the quarter tank that was in it when I test drove it, just so I could get it home. I spent $19,000 on a vehicle, you'd think they could at least fill the tank. The they offered me 3 free oil changes if I have a pearl sticker in the back window. I asked them if it takes synthetic or regular grade, they told me they recommend synthetic after the first 3 oil changes, so basically, they don't want to spend the money on synthetic, I can start that once I am paying for the oil. My son bought a used vehicle a few days later at Terrys Ford in Peotone, and he got a full tank of gas and a free 1 year warranty. It seems like pearl should think about going down to Terrys and learn from them how to appreciate customers. read more

This Dealership took advantage of my elderly parents. They had a decent used car to trade in that had an extended warranty. The engine was leaking oil, but the extended warranty would cover it. The dealership sold them a new vehicle and gave them $4,000 for the trade-in. My parents wanted to sell the car to their grandson. The salesman told them after the repaired the vehicle through the warranty, they would sell it to the grandson for $4,000 plus a few hundred dollars for paperwork. When the car was repaired, they agreed to sell it-- for $10,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They took advantage of an elderly couple and ripped them off. Don't trust them and scrutinize every document if you must buy from them. read more

Do not take a diesel to them. They ruined the engine in the Jeep. It had the typical rocker issue the 2.8 Jeeps have. They tore it to pieces. They removed the head and lost the head gasket. The head did not even need to be removed. Took a lot of things apart that did not need to be taken apart, Broke stuff, lost stuff, including the head gasket, which you need to check to see which of the 3 available it is. You can't find that info by vin number or anything. Broke the wiring harness that runs through the firewall. It was totally rediculous what they did to the engine. All totally unnecessary. And Chrysler was no help either. I'll have a real hard time ever buying another Chrysler product. And never take anything to Pearl for work read more
