He uses pain cream and light massage prior to adjusting your spine. I was extremely relaxed and my back moved more than it has in YEARS. I've had two lower back surgeries and have seen a number of chiropractors over the years and never felt the need to review them online until now. The store itself is great. It's a nice sized market with all of the necessities. I think they are reasonably priced and the staff are nice and friendly, very willing to help you out. The store is also heavily stocked and clean. For the prepared foods and ready to order hot meals, I encourage you to come hungry! They have a lot of options and seem to serve everything all day. On today's visit I tried the donuts, tuna salad, and chicken salad which they said was all made in store. I also tried the macaroni salad which was also said to be made in store. For the food, I would recommend trying the fresh breads and the tuna salad! Both were very good, and they made a great sandwich on my road trip! Don't forget the donuts because those were the best part! The Apple fritter was the star of the show as it was humongous and also delicious. It had a lot of glaze and was made with real apples (not like a pie filling, from what I could tell). Also the angel cream/white cream donut was fantastic. It was very filled and good. I called Dr. Gatto's office hoping I might be able to get a last minute appointment (I had also never been there before) and heard good things from my boss about his office. They decided to stay open later than their times to be able to accommodate me. They were warm and friendly and Dr. Gatto was compassionate and understanding with all of my complaints. Chiropractors kinda scare me, what with all those pops and snaps, but he was calm and helped distract me with lots of conversation while he sorted out my neck, AND back, AND hips. I didn't realize there was so much wrong with me until he started realigning. I walked out feeling 150% better than I did walking in. I'll still need a follow up appointment but he was also VERY accommodating towards my work schedule and offered to see me early before his office hours so I wouldn't miss any time from work. I was in excruciating pain and hardly sleeping. After just one visit and doing what he suggested for icing and stretching I'm so much better! I had a follow exam and adjustment today and it was phenomenal too! My friend also saw him for a pinched sciatic nerve. He set him and suggested a tens unit. Within 2 visits he was perfect too! He taught us more excercises and stretches to help us both. He's located in Brooklyn square Jamestown NY in a nice clean building. Very easy to find and set up appointments.
