Got right in, filled out some paperwork, and got my exam and X-ray same day. Also talked about my dental plan and what we wanted to do. My teeth were in rough shape and dentures were the only option, and which is why I went to begin with. The process started the following week. Extractions took place a little at a time, that way so I could still eat. Only thing that took a little was getting my final dentures, waited about a month. But the results were perfect and I've been able to smile again. They give you one free fix on dentures if you drop them, like I did and cracked the front teeth, the second time is a $200 that you'd have to pay. That's the only expense I'd have period if I needed since going to this place. My insurance covered everything. Dentists are nice, understanding and their assistants are friendly and help you with anything. Only downside is the location, the DPSS building is across the street, and Holt isn't exactly the nicest street. So there's a lot of homelessness and shenanigans going on outside. But unless you're out there in the mix with them, you have nothing to worry about. I recommend everyone to come here. ESP people I know with only Medi Cal. They take Medi Cal and cover everything 100% here except Vaneers, and implants.

If you're looking for a professional orthodontic clinic, I strongly advise against this place!…read more A few years ago, I lived in Pomona, and this dental clinic was conveniently close to my home, so I decided to give it a try. At the time, there was an Asian dentist who was extremely friendly and professional. My partner and I both liked her, so we decided to stick with this clinic for cleanings, fillings, and other services. Later, we considered getting braces and discovered the clinic offered orthodontic treatments as well. Naturally, we chose to get our braces here. That's when our nightmare began. During our consultation, we were told that braces would cost $4,200 per person, but if we both did it together, the price would be discounted to $4,000 each, with a treatment period of about a year and a half. What they failed to mention was that the orthodontist only comes in on Tuesdays, and that the doctor changes frequently. So far, we've had three different doctors! This is a huge issue for orthodontic treatments, as each new doctor isn't familiar with your case. We have to take time off from work every Tuesday for these appointments, and if anything goes wrong with the braces, we're forced to wait until the next available Tuesday to have it fixed. The clinic's internal organization is incredibly chaotic. When problems arise, the staff blames the front desk, and the front desk claims they're just following instructions. On multiple occasions, we arrived at our scheduled appointment time but wait another 30 minutes to be seen, and I've seen this happen to other patients as well. I understand that some waiting time is expected, but if it happens this often and consistently exceeds a reasonable amount of time, then it's clearly a scheduling issue. My partner and I always have the same appointment time since we now live farther away and need to carpool. Last month, my partner helped book our next appointment for 3:00 PM on the 17th, which was today. However, the clinic later informed me that my next session would take over an hour, so I had to come separately and change my appointment to 11:00 AM. But when I arrived at my appointment today, I waited 40 minutes without being seen. When I asked the front desk why I had to wait so long despite having an appointment, they said I was next and just needed to wait five more minutes. Once I finally got in, I still had to wait for the doctor to have time to see me. I just laid there and received only 15 minutes of treatment. They didn't even perform the procedure that was scheduled for today; they only changed a band on my braces. When I asked why the procedure wasn't done, they told me they were short-staffed will do it next time. I explained that I had taken time off to come and separate with my partner because they told me my treatment this time would take longer. So, I ended up spending two hours at the clinic, only to have my band on my braces changed. They then said they could ask the doctor to do the treatment later today, but I would have to wait until after her lunch break because it was 1:00 PM, and they needed to take lunch. If they knew they were short-staffed and couldn't complete the treatment, they should have called me ahead of time and let me keep my original appointment, or at least informed me before the session that the procedure wouldn't be done today. I don't know who to blame because everyone acts like it's not their problem, but what I want to say is this: respect your patients. Our time is valuable, and as a business, you need to fulfill the promises you make or fix your own internal problems. Patients shouldn't have to suffer because of the disorganization in your system. I still need to go back for the remaining sessions, and I sincerely hope this doesn't happen again. This experience ruined my day.

I was told that a 2D oral photographic image would not result in any additional cost to me or my dental insurance. However, when I later reviewed my insurance explanation of benefits, I saw that my insurance had been billed $346 for that imaging. After noticing the charge, I reached out to Dr. Pardo for clarification. Instead of receiving a straightforward explanation, she responded dismissively. Because Dr. Pardo knew I was trying to make the most of my annual insurance benefits, I was disappointed to see my available coverage used for a service that wasn't necessary. Dr. Pardo later said the imaging was necessary, but then why would the dental hygienist ask as if I wanted it in the first place? I shouldn't have to pay for the lack of communication between Dr. Pardo and her staff. I also called several dentists, and they all confirmed that those specialized images aren't necessary for care. There is absolutely no reason for Dr. Pardo to be dishonest and rude.

Everyone here is incredibly gentle, attentive, and patient. It never feels like you're just there for a quick check and pushed out the door. They genuinely take their time with you. The dental assistants and Dr Cabrera will sit with you, talk to you, and make you feel comfortable the entire time. There is never any weird or uncomfortable energy, just warmth and care. The ladies at the front desk deserve so much appreciation, especially the one with blonde hair. They actually remember faces, remember conversations, and make you feel welcomed every single time you walk in. That means the world, because you truly don't feel like just another patient on a list, you feel like someone they genuinely care about. Because of how comforting and safe this office felt to me, they even convinced my mom to come. My mom has severe dental anxiety from years of bad experiences, to the point where the dentist terrifies her. This is the first place that made her feel so welcomed, understood, and safe that she was able to make an appointment without panicking. That alone says everything about this office. They are very one-on-one here. You never feel rushed. You never feel overlooked. You feel heard. I also had my wisdom teeth removed here, and I was shocked at how smooth the entire experience was. The Oral Surgeon was incredibly fast and gentle. The numbing shots literally felt like NOTHING, and my teeth were out in under 20 minutes. My recovery has been amazing: very little pain, no excessive bleeding, and overall such an easy healing process. They even called me the next day just to check on me and make sure I was okay. What dentist does that? It is SO hard to find a good dentist, let alone one that makes you feel like family. I am beyond grateful that I found this place. If you have anxiety, fear, or past dental trauma, this office will change the way you feel about going to the dentist!!

The staff…read moretook extensive X-rays and I was presented with a treatment plan that included multiple root canals (3), numerous fillings, and extraction of a front tooth. The estimated out-of-pocket cost was several thousand dollars 9-10k, 2k covered via insurance). What concerned me was not simply the treatment recommendations, but how they were communicated. Initially, I was told that my "front tooth" needed to be pulled, without clearly identifying which tooth was being discussed. For a moment, I believed one of my two central front teeth was beyond saving. Only after asking additional questions and reviewing the images myself was the situation clarified. That level of uncertainty should not occur when discussing major dental treatment. The consultation felt rushed and left me more discouraged than informed. There was little discussion about alternatives, prognosis, or whether any of the recommended treatment could be approached more conservatively. The deciding factor for me came in the days afterward. I contacted the office and requested copies of my own X-rays so I could obtain a second opinion. I was told the office could not send them directly to me and that they would only be sent to another dental office. That is a HIPAA violation if a regulator were to assess. Not good. As a patient facing significant treatment recommendations, being told I could not directly obtain my own records immediately raised serious concerns and caused me to lose confidence in the practice. I understand that every dentist may have a different treatment philosophy, and I fully support obtaining second opinions before making major decisions. After this experience, I chose to seek care elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone facing extensive dental work to obtain a second opinion and ensure they fully understand all available options before proceeding.

The receptionist verified that their services were covered under my insurance, and we even had an email correspondence where I verified that I did not need to complete the out of network authorization paperwork because it did not apply to me. I scheduled the suggested follow up services, then received a predetermination that stated the doctor was out of network.
