I sent an email last night requesting an appointment because I accidently chipped the back of a tooth. I received a call and text really early the next day before they opened at 8am to let me know they had an opening at 9:30 am! I was very surprised of the fast service they were able to accommodate for me for my first visit. Maria in the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Cassandra was the dental assistant and she was great! Very nice and gentle with the x-rays and polishing on my teeth. Let me start by saying I had the fastest most honest experience here. I walked in because my crown fell out at work today and I was dreading it because in the past other dentist have told me I need to buy a new crown. This office did not try to sale me on anything. He was extremely gentle placing my crown and he even said if it falls out he could try a different method. Rather than selling me on another crown. He was extremely gentle with my cleaning as well. The office front desk girl was extremely welcoming and the girls in the back were professional and gentle with my X-rays. Usually other offices have poked and hurt me during X-rays to the point were I starting thinking that's just the way X-rays are done. I highly recommend Pearl Dental Care. Dr. Changela and his staff are so nice and very attentive. Feb 2021 I was in desperate need of dental assistance so I did a Google search of "emergency dentists near me" and this was the first place on the list. I was kind of hesitant to call because of the location, but I'm beyond glad I did and I couldn't be happier. I called on a Monday and they got me in the same day. We did all the Xrays and the oral observation then Dr. Changela explained my options to me thoroughly. I decided having my tooth pulled was the best option and he had me come in the next morning. I get really nervous being in "the chair" lol and sure enough I had a panic attack. They were so nice and offered me some water, gave me a little oxygen and just talked me through it til I could calm down. I appreciated that very much. I'm going back March 2021 for a filling. It is hard to find a dentist who is truly caring and honest, and that's what I've found at pearl dental in Pomona. This is the only dentist I go to now because I feel that he really cares and wants to help. Even when I haven't been there for 8 months he still remembers all of my dental and social history, even remembering what I do for work after 8 months. Save your mouth and don't ever place a foot in this place. Every single crown I had done here is extremely ill fitting and irritates my gums to this day. They would start root canals and when I tried to see when I could go back to get them finished, they would tell me medical denied the request. How and why the hell would you start a process you were not approved to finish? I have 3 missing teeth because of bad work done here. I was a teen when I would go and didn't know any better. Although I did not enjoy the service from Dr. Patel, the owner, Dr. Changela, saw my review, called to apologise and invited me to have another cleaning done by himself at my convenience. I appreciated that he went out of his way to call and that he cared about what his customers thought. My teeth cleaning was very thorough and Dr. Changela answered all my questions and concerns. Updated: since my fillings and my first horrible experience here Dr. Changela personally called me and made an appointment with me to be seen for my pain. He notified me that although it has been 5 weeks everyone's teeth are different and as long as the pain is decreasing it should be fine. I was given some cream that will hopefully help and the fillings were drilled down a little more which is nice. I also learned about calcium build up which was cool. Pearl dental provides a professional and intimate customer service experience. Do not be skeptical because of the surrounding outside area, the interior office is clean and they are always on time with appointments. Since they are a small office they have a limited amount of chairs which means fewer patients in the office at the same time. In my own experience I had the doctor for an unlimited amount of time to ask questions and the procedures were always explained thoroughly. The prices are very reasonable. I was cash paying when I first visited their office and I could afford my basic cleanings and exams without financial burden. The doctors I have seen are Patel and Changela. Both are very soft spoken and have welcoming demeanors. The same staff has been dedicated and continue to work in the office which makes it nice to see a familiar face, and you know what to expect when you go in for annual visits.
