I had agreed with the dentist to remove the review in exchange for a refund. Since I never received the promised refund, I am now reposting the review. Here it is: I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. I scheduled a tooth extraction after being told over the phone that my out-of-pocket cost would be $90 with insurance. Instead, I left with a $910 bill. The lack of financial transparency was extremely concerning. I was initially told that a bone graft would cost around $600, but during the procedure, that amount suddenly increased to $850--and I was required to pay immediately. What made the situation worse was the pressure I felt while still in the chair. The dentist pushed me to make an immediate decision between an implant or a bridge--both significant medical and financial choices that require time and proper explanation. I was also told that a bone graft was necessary right after the extraction, even though a bridge typically does not require one. When I questioned why these options and costs were not clearly explained beforehand, I was dismissively told, "We told you so," referring to information that had never been clearly communicated to me. At no point were the cost differences properly outlined. I also want to note that I never had any issues with the previous owner during my care, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I expect I may hear more explanations or even an apology, but that alone does not address the core issue of transparency and patient communication. Overall, I felt rushed, dismissed, and treated like just another number. Patients should never feel pressured into making major, permanent decisions on the spot. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication, transparency, and professional patient care.

I can't express enough how lucky I feel to have found this practice. 3 years ago my daughter had a tooth pulled with "zero pain". Last month I had my first cavity filled in 20 years. Wow, Dr Walby and his assistant whipped through that thing so quickly and seamlessly I wish I could have videoed it. Zero pain or discomfort. All done in about 20 minutes. I was waiting for there to be pain once my numbness wore off, but nope. In the past, I've had to go back to other dentists for them to correct the bite, but he did it perfectly right out of the gate. We're all impressed.

The receptionist was basically baffled as to why I'd even have pain. She even had the nerve to ask me if I was grinding my teeth after the numbing. She called me back and said nah the dentist said the oral rinse won't help and gave me nothing. The dentist didn't even have the kindness to speak to me herself. 2 trips to urgent care, 5 prescriptions later and I'm just now starting to feel some relief. That was the office that had dried up throw up on the waiting room chair and totally inappropriate daytime TV blaring in the waiting room. I could go on and on but that's what Yelp's for! This dentist had a clean waiting room, no television I had to worry about my children seeing, up to date magazines. Nice staff. They acknowledged me, paid attention, were friendly and professional. The office has easy parking and a nice Royal Oak location. The dentist himself is all busines. I sat in on the exam, as my daughter is traumatized by another dentist who never checked that she was numb before pulling 5 teeth unnecessarily. Instead of talking to me so much, the dentist spoke straight to my scared stiff daughter and explained all his numbing steps and what she will feel. He defined to her the difference of pain and feeling the tooth come out. As she waited, she was given the remote control to a TV so we could control what she watched. This helped chill her out. He pulled her tooth out PAINLESSLY. She was shocked. I felt horribly I didn't start with this guy in the first place. He was a referral from our orthodontist, Dr. Bruno. Some things are worth spending money on. And his price was fair anyway. I will be bringing my whole family there. I asked how long a dental cleaning in an average mouth should take. More than 10 minutes of course! So I'm eager to meet the hygeniest. They're as important as the dentist in my opinion. I love my white teeth and want to keep them pretty! I also appreciate that Dr. Eades keeps up on his education, as I do the same in my field. There is always new science and always more to learn and master. I appreciate as well when I asked him about my own TMJ issues that he admitted he isn't a TMJ specialist. Nothing worse than someone who claims to know it all and then screw you up just for their ego. Overall great experience. I plan to Yelp more after my dental cleaning.

My young adult…read moredaughter went to see Dr Latinis for some discomfort with her wisdom teeth, both her and I thought she would be referred for extraction but Dr Latinis told her they did not need to be pulled, that he would fill the cavities for her. After three appointments for the fillings my daughter, who is very indepandant , is now afraid to go to the dentist alone and is still in pain. We went to another doctor who told us the fillings that were put in by Dr. Latinis were temporary??? and that they were already breaking down causing my daugher her continued pain. The new doctor, who I will give 5 stars to, referred us to a surgeon for extraction saying there was no reason the keep the wisdom teeth in.

First, I was a little nervous, when I arrived, due to the fact the waiting room and office area were a little outdated. (I had been going to a dentist in Bloomfield Hills that was very high-tech, but I was paying a fortune!)The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and upon conversing with her, she noted that the facility was going through renovations soon- felt more at ease. The hygienist was very thorough and kept making sure that I was comfortable during that lovely probing. My dental exam from this dentist was great. She examined all the X-rays with me and gave me some suggestions, so that a very minor tooth issue would not get worse. The best... They didn't make you feel like a horrible person, when you admit that you don't floss daily.
