The office is beautiful and they offer coffee and water. That's very nice. I didn't even wait long for my appointment the most maybe 10 minutes if that. Dr. Taylor is super sweet. She has such a great bedside manner that's hard to find now days. I had a deep cleaning done and she needed to get me numb and made me feel so comfortable and took her time with me. The girls are so funny and always smiling. They make you feel very welcome. They even have Netflix for you to watch and enjoy during your visit. read more

The dentist was nice but found out that he is a temporary dentist and we wouldn't see him again. I got crowns done at the office in 2017 at first it was ok until My crowns were being delayed for multiple excuses. My insurance paid for part of the process and the they said I had more things that needed to be done so I paid out of pocket the remaining. I had to go to an emergency dentist because they failed to do extractions that were in my dental plan. Long story short, after fighting for charges for work not even performed. They finally agreed to fix my account make balance adjustments. I paid then paid the adjusted balance upfront since they claimed they couldn't deliver crowns until I finished paying. 2 years later I get a call that I owe them money. I told them I didn't owe anything and now I'm getting a bill for 900 dollars! This place is crazy! Not my fault someone there left the office and didn't finalized my account! Don't go here! My impression is you can't put lipstick on a pig. They have a snazzy waiting room but that is where the first class service ends. I explained in detail what oral surgery I needed. Not only do they not have the equipment needed, the dentist kept referring to removing a tooth that was not there! He actually pointed to the dark space and said "see that tooth, there is too much bone loss there". Had that tooth removed just before Covid! Then when I told him that there was no tooth there, he asked again why I was there. Again I explained that I might have a root fracture and said I wanted to know if I had to have the tooth next to it removed, (why I was there) he said I didn't need to have it removed if I wanted to be in pain. He was RUDE, sarcastic and much more worried but the type of appointment I was scheduled for rather than treating me. I need oral surgery in 4 places and he was not at all concerned about treatment. He was not one of the primary dentists. Hopefully they are better that the guy I saw. Total waste of my time! read more

Today, I waited for over an hour and half to be seen for a 5 minute appointment. I even arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment. I felt like I was forgotten. My other appointments have been okay. One two separate occasions I was never called to schedule a follow up appointment like I had been promised. I had to call both times to inquire. They also don't always answer the phone. Different dentists almost every visit which change treatment plans. No hygienists. Several assistants who are rude, demoralizing and minimize patient complaints. 2 days after temp crowns placed I started having severe throbbing pain to tooth 18 and significant sensitivity and pain to tooth 15. I went back to pearl and was dismissed by the dental assistant almost immediately. She rolled her eyes and told me this is all expected and normal. The dentist examined me and also said nothing was wrong and pain was expected. Despite severe sensitivity and pain when the teeth were examined. No xrays were done. 7 days later still in significant pain, waking up multiple times at night, taking 800mg ibuprofen every 8 hours. I was called to say my crowns were in and to come in to get them delivered. I voiced my concerns about continued pain and concern about placing a crown on a painful tooth without being evaluated for a root canal before. The same dental assistant as first visit again laughed at me and said this is normal and word for word said "please just let us do our job". She had the crown there and would have placed it had I not said I wanted the dentist to see me. The dentist immediately said to not place the crown and to have an endodontist evaluate me for a root canal on 18. Had a root canal 24 hours later, went and got a second opinion the same day I left pearl and immediately upon seeing the xray said there was no doubt about needing a root canal and that I also had significant inflammation/infection around the tooth and would need to be on amoxicillin for a week. It also took FIVE visits to attempt to have a crown placed..... Went to get final crown put on, appt for friday at 2pm. Show up at 1:45, wait an hour and finally get called back. Wait another hour in the chair... asked when i could expect to see the dentist and they couldnt tell me anything except that she was very busy. Finally left 2 hours after my scheduled appt. rescheduled me for monday 1:30. Show up at 1:20 and get brought right back. Only to find out the xray machine is down and no one bothered to call and tell me to reschedule. Waited over an hour before leaving again. Went back a fourth time a few days later only to find out the crown did not fit. We re-did impressions and waited 3 weeks for a new crown. Now FIFTH visit and guess what... new crown also does not fit. At this point I asked for a refund (which they gave me) and left, and I will never return. Went to another dentist the same day and had a same day crown put on with no issue. Save your money but more importantly your time and go somewhere else!!!! read more

Not only is this office swanky and quaintly appointed, but the staff and Dr. Carolina Haddad are very friendly! They take their time explaining your treatment plan, and the prices aren't exorbitant. In fact, it's got to do with your insurance and contracted fees with the office. They offer Zoom whitening and have specialists (oral surgeon, root canals, etc). My cleaning was thorough but quick and efficient--just the way I like it! X-rays are all digital, TVs in every room... what more could you ask for? read more

And all I wanted was to have an idea of what I was looking at before I came in, which was no problem the first time I set up my appointment. The staff is really kind and friendly which is why I wanted to go here for my dental services. I loved how they treated my friend when he needed to get his wisdom teeth pulled. The wait is long, which I figured that would be okay for awesome service. During that time, 2 customers went in to complain. I understand why because the last 5 times I have called them was because either they cancelled my appointment, failed to schedule my new appointment in the system, failed to call back on multiple occassions after specific stating they would. Right now as we speak I have been waiting on a call back after I put a down payment for wisdom extraction early this year. Beware. I've been there 3 times. The first two times were not unpleasant experiences but those appointments were over a year ago and all I had was a cleaning. I recently went there (April) for a typical cleaning. I noticed right away things were more chaotic than the first 2 experiences and the people seemed less professional. I waited over 40 minutes before the dentist began to look at my teeth and then he told me I had a cavity that definitely needed a filling. I was told this was a really bad cavity and that I need a special filling that would cost me $200 out of pocket with insurance. I knew something was off. I went to my old dentist I had not seen in a few years because of location and he laughed. There was no cavity and my teeth were fine. Never again. read more

From the time I walked in and when I left everything went smoothly. I didn't have to wait long.. I went in for a consultation on teeth cleaning and wisdom teeth removal. I'm a stay at home mom and had to bring my toddler with me, the whole staff loved him and were very understanding. I loved that I didn't need to walk anywhere to get the X-rays taken, the machine was right there in the room while I was sitting!! How cool is that. Dr. Haddad was great and even said they could do the cleaning right then and there, I didn't have to come back which was awesome and even more so the manager Alice in the front who help me with my son while I was getting my teeth worked on! My teeth feel so much better, I will be coming back soon for the wisdom teeth extractions. Overall amazing experience! I love pearl dentistry and love that everything is done in clinic! read more

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about my first experience here. Yes, I was happy that they still took me in when the front desk lady misinformed my cleaning time by an hour. Yes, I loved the interior very classy I must add. Yes, I was amazed at the snacks and drink options that they had while you waited. I just am not convinced that I had a top notch cleaning experience. First of all the assistant half assed flossed my teeth. Like didn't even try to push the floss down to get anything. I even had to remind her that I had wisdom teeth because she surely tried to skip past them. When it was time for the cleaning the dentist used some water tool which is supposed to be better than the old school picking tools that feel as if they're scrapping your enamel off. Unfortunately, oddly enough I wanted that because I swear her little tool did nothing for my teeth. Even when this half ass assistant had to go back and polish my teeth I promise a five year old could've done a better job. She wasn't even polishing the teeth its like she just dabbed and kept it moving. Idk idk idk I just don't think my teeth were "CLEANED." So, as much as they had me in awe by the lobby experience I wasn't impressed by the quality of the work. I will be trying to find another dentist before my next six month check up. read more

I made two appointments 2-3 weeks ago and even confirmed a few days ago through a call that came from them. Yesterday was my appointment and I was called to say they no longer accept my insurance and are cancelling both, which is fine but not the day of/before. I was told they called the day before and left a VM which I do not have, either. Checked the website and my insurance was still on there. Initially when I called I let the receptionist or scheduling agent know that my son has Medicaid as well as our private insurance due to ortho coverages. After getting completely aggravated, I was able to verify the Medicaid on my own and even offer to pay cash to keep this appointment. I then sent all the info I accumulated to them by email, which also received no response. To make matters worse, I called the office several times prior and I'm sure it was screened because no answer each time. I finally got the scheduling service to call the office manager who was supposed to call me back in the first place. Had I not needed this appointment due to the ortho orders I would have not dealt with this place at all. This is the SECOND time I've had issues with them waiting until the last minute for appointment necessities. I have the emails to show for it as well. I also received a call while I was on the way to verify info for the insurance which means they still had not done their part. Come this morning at the ortho, I was told my son had gum issues and needed to see a dentist. HE LITERALLY WAS THERE THE AFTERNOON BEFORE! I was told everything was fine. He is sending them a notice and I will be back there to discuss this further. To be fair they did seem stressed on site but internal management should not interfere with scheduling and customer service. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars since they were clean and staff was nice. Had a 4pm appointment for cleaning. Cleaning didn't actually start until 5:10 and the cleaning was mediocre. Staff did apologize and said they had last minute procedures but I'm thinking um ok but I had an appointment. The front desk lady told me the total for my filings i needed were $400 (400 something) $100 per tooth. I knew that was wrong and called my insurance company. The insurance called the dentist office and the dentist office said they got the cost wrong but would fix it. Thank goodness I followed up because that didn't sound correct. I am giving one star, and really that's only because the receptionist is super nice. About 8 months ago it was time to start scheduling an appointment for my cleaning. I am very hesitant about dentists because I have had good and bad experiences. Although I haven't exactly been seen by anyone here, this is exactly why I am rating them. 8 months ago I gave this place a shot because my husband really liked it. I schedule my appointment well in advanced only to be called and told the doctor would not be able to see me, they at least called the day before so that's cool. Schedule it for the following week, and was called to be told he same thing, "the doctor will not be able to see you." That was the last straw so I went elsewhere. Decided to give them a shot yet again because I figured since they were new when I originally tried to be seen, they were having trouble getting their scheduling together. WRONG! They called last Wednesday (9/30) to cancel my appointment for the next day with the same excuse they gave me months ago! When I confronted the receptionist about it she didn't know what to say didn't give me a real reason except that they could see me on other days. Nope not happening! The doctor is unprofessional in my opinion and that is why they get 1 star. read more

Terrible experience. During my cleaning, the hygenist obviously had a cold and kept sniffling and coughing as she was cleaning my teeth (she had a face mask on, but still pretty gross to me). It was the least thorough cleaning I've ever sat through, they didn't even give me fluoride, I've never been to a dentist that doesn't give fluoride. Dr. Patel came in to go through the X rays and informed me that I had four cavities. When I asked her where they were she couldn't tell me specifically, which seemed strange to me, usually I would expect a dentist to volunteer that information and not need to be asked at all. She then proceeded to suggest that I get braces! I'm almost 30 years old and dentists have always complimented me for having very naturally straight teeth and said I don't need them. At one point during the appointment another person came in and started talking to me about prices for the fillings. He kept pressuring me to do it that day and actually went as far as to ask me if I truly planned to get them filled at all. I don't appreciate the insinuation that I'm that irresponsible with my dental health, or the pressure to spend money on braces or get fillings that same day. Frankly after my experience there I'm skeptical of the cavity diagnosis and plan to get a second opinion. read more

My first experience here was amazing!! I'm going to school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas and I came down to Houston to visit, I needed a quick visit at the dentist and Pearl Dentistry took me in right away. I actually missed my first appointment and I came in the next day and they took care of me within minutes!! Ruben was so professional and sweet, I was greeted right away and taken care of immediately! I had to get a root canal and Dr.Patel took such good care of me and it was fast, it didn't even hurt and still doesn't! I was able to watch Netflix while I waited in the room too which made it so much better than staring at a picture like other places. Erika and Mayra were also so sweet with me and made sure I was accommodated! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait to come back for my next dentist visit!! read more

I am giving this place one star for their lack of customer service. I had a followup appointment today at 1:00 pm that was scheduled six months ago, but no one from their office called ahead to remind me. Add to that, I received a call around 11:00 am today telling me that they would have to reschedule me because the dentist was out. Wow, shouldn't they have known in advance that the dentist would be out? I am taking my business to Modern Dentistry across the street. read more
